1966 Ford Mustang Gt on 2040-cars
Highland Lakes, New Jersey, United States
More infos regarding my car at: lakeishalkkawaguchi@cobblers.org .
Up for your consideration is my 66 Mustang GT Coupe. It is an authentic GT car, not a plain Mustang dressed with GT
badges. It is a numbers matching drivetrain throughout, engine, transmission, rear end even the special GT steering
gear. Correct C6ZF Autolite 4100 and button top fuel pump.
This car was restored 30 plus years ago by Ed Gaczek of Morris Plains NJ, (now retired). His repeat customer was
renowned Mustang collector the late Dave Zimmerman. This car collected too numerous to list awards over it's show
career from 1988 through 2001. These were all AACA National events not local shows the car was retired with
multiple Senior Grand National Retired Preservation Awards. Quite an impressive and distinguished career.
What makes a car like this extra special is that it was done at a time were replacement parts were still largely
available through your local Ford dealer. So this car was blessed largely with restored original or NOS Ford parts
keeping the pedigree and quality to the highest standard.
This car drives beautifully, starts right up, engine is smooth and strong, transmission shifts effortlessly through
the gears and the equa-lock rear axle is smooth and quite. Everything functions as it should, even the clock in the
Rally Pac! The interior is whistle clean showing no wear just gentle use.
The under carriage is beautiful especially considering the era in which it was done. Detailed suspension parts,
correct hardware etc. Exhaust is solid with a nice rumble through the trumpets. Car comes with extensive
documentation, past owners, titles, awards lists, breakdown and decoding of all the pertinent numbers on the car.
Car was also a cover car for Mustang Times magazine.
As you might expect being restored 30 years ago there are minor age issues with the finish in a few places. These
could be addressed by the new caretaker but it is not necessary by any means. The car has the correct patina for a
distinguished vintage vehicle. The vehicle is completely free of rust. The car is safe to be driven anywhere with
confidence.

Hennessey unleashes 2015 HPE700 supercharged Ford Mustang
Sun, 05 Oct 2014Thanks to the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat there is a new magic number in the muscle car world - 707. To raise eyebrows these days in the power war, a vehicle needs to match or preferably exceed that palindromic figure. The tuners over at Hennessey took a look at it for their 2015 HPE700 Mustang and decided to go one better. Well, ten actually, because they bestowed their latest creation with 717 horsepower and 632 pound-feet of torque.
The HPE 700 Mustang takes the standard Mustang GT with its 5.0-liter V8 and turns up the power a few hundred notches with a Roots-type supercharger running at 7.25 psi. Hennessey claims that this boosted 'Stang can rocket to 60 miles per hour in about 3.6 seconds and cover the quarter-mile in 11.2 seconds at 131 mph. For those keeping score at home, those figures are very similar to Challenger Hellcat.
To cope with all of the added boost, the engine gets a high-flow throttle body, upgraded injectors, new fuel pump, stainless steel exhaust and Hennessey's calibration for the engine management. Pricing for the package is $59,500, including the base 2015 Mustang GT, but the company is limiting production to 500 units for the 2015 model year. Founder John Hennessey told Autoblog that he has already received about a dozen orders for them.
Bacon-wrapped Ford Fiesta hams it up for International Bacon Day
Wed, 28 Aug 2013This is a bacon-wrapped Ford Fiesta. It is a real thing, that a real, multi-billion-dollar company designed. And it isn't even April Fools' Day. Designed for International Bacon Day, which is also apparently a thing, the 2014 Fiesta is finished in Green Envy paint - we're told black paint, like the color of a skillet, made the car look camouflaged - and features 10 gigantic decals depicting strips of tender, cured bacon.
The design, which was approved by the CEO of Benton's Country Hams, Allan Benton, show off the depth of Ford's Custom Graphics program. Unbelievably, Ford will actually start offering bacon decals to everyday customers, including (and we can't believe we're writing this) dual bacon racing stripes which will no doubt have Carroll Shelby spinning and/or salivating in his grave, and a "side of bacon," which wraps a couple of strips over the rear wheels.
Benton, who Ford claims is the King of Bacon, had this to say: "This car just makes so much sense." The Fiesta's marketing manager, Liz Elser added, "It's just awesome to drive down the road in a piece of bacon."

Edge will be the first Ford-badged product to come standard with EcoBoost power.
Ford officially unveiled the all-new, third-generation Edge today at its Dearborn home, announcing that the latest version of the popular crossover will ride on the same CD4 architecture that underpins the Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ. The Edge will also be the first Ford-badged product to come standard with EcoBoost power.
