Up for bids is this 1965 ford mustang coupe. This is a real nice project for someone looking to build one that needs a little work but not a ton of work. The body is in pretty nice shape overall. It had a rear lower quarter replaced at some point. The trunk lid, hood, doors fenders, rear quarters, floors, and frame rails are all in good shape with minimal to no rust. They will need some smoothing out in places that are dented but overall this is about as solid of a unrestored 65 mustang as you will find these days. As for the interior it has a nice set of pony interior black seats and a good dash pad. It will need carpet as there is no carpet. I have a set of door panels and kick panels to go with it but you will probably want to get new ones. The head liner has a hole in it. It is not perfect but it is there. It would need to be changed to be perfect but it is useable. The original dash is uncut and looks good with the original AM radio still there. It has a new gas tank and battery in it. The motor runs and transmission shifts out. It is what I call yard driveable. The brakes work but are shot. It is not street driveable. The motor will also need some work. It runs and will idle but the motor smokes and will need work. The carburator will also need some work. The motor does not knock and actually runs pretty good but it smokes so thats about all I can tell you. It is a 6 cylinder motor with a automatic transmission. I have almost everything if not everything to put this car back together. For the exterior I have the front and rear valance, taillights, grille, headlight buckets, piece that connects the headlightbuckets, piece under that piece, decent set of bumpers, passengers door glass and vent window, front blinker lights and rear back up lights, windshield wipers, and door handles. For the interior I have the ash tray and all door handles. Like I said I have just about if not everything to put this car back together. This would make a excellent project to build. I have a clear title for it. I can store it as long as needed as long as it is paid for in full. This car is for sale locally so this auction could end early if it sales locally. If you have questions about the car you can email me or call me at 318-278-1069. This car is located in Jonesboro Louisiana so it will have to be picked up here. I will accept bank wire transfer, certified bank check, or cash in person as payment for this car.

Ford is recalling more Takata airbag-equipped Ford and Lincoln models
Thu, Mar 2 2017The Basics: Takata, the beleaguered airbag supplier at the root of the largest recall in automotive history, has informed Ford of a problem with the airbags in just over 30,000 Ford and Lincoln models. The problem is not related to the non-desiccated ammonium nitrate airbag inflators that plague the other airbags ( including many Fords), meaning there isn't a risk of shrapnel flying out from the units in this particular recall. The Problem: In the event of an accident, the front airbags may only partially inflate, and the airbag may become detached from the module because of misaligned parts. The problem affects 2016 and 2017 Ford Edge and Lincoln MKX models built at the Oakville Assembly Plant. The issue also affects 2017 Lincoln Continentals that were built at the Flat Rock Assembly Plant. Injuries/Deaths: In a release, Ford stated that it is not aware of any accidents, injuries, or deaths related to the airbag issue. The Fix: Dealers will replace the driver-side front airbag module at no cost. If You Own One: Sit tight and wait for Ford to notify owners. When that happens, take your car to the dealer for a replacement. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. Ford hurt by 2015 F-150 production restraints
Tue, Mar 10 2015The new 2015 Ford F-150 came out of the gate strong for January 2015 with all F-Series sales up 17 percent for the month. However, February tempered those gains a bit with the model line dipping 1.2 percent, and the Ford brand itself dropped 1.7 percent year-over-year. The fall is being blamed in part on tight supply of the latest pickup. A major factor holding back the 2015 F-150 is that they are only currently being made at the Dearborn Truck Plant. The Kansas City factory is still changing over, and full supply from them both is expected by the middle of the year. Ford also just announced plans to hire an extra 1,550 people to build the pickups, including 900 in Kansas City. However, the downtime in the assembly changeover has caused about 90,000 units in lost production since mid-2014, according to The Detroit Free Press. It's not all bad news for the pickup, though. The latest F-150 made up 21 percent of F-Series sales in February, according to The Detroit Free Press, up from 18 percent in the previous month, and they remained on dealer lots an average of 18 days. The lessened supply has also meant lower incentives. Mark LaNeve, Ford's US marketing boss, told the Free Press that average F-150 transaction prices were up $2,000 from last year. He also indicated that retail figures grew seven percent in February, while F-Series fleet numbers were down 18 percent. The constrained supply does come at an inopportune time for Ford, though. This year is expected to be huge for pickups. Also, lower gas prices appear to be pushing people towards SUVs and trucks recently. Related Video:
