Woodiw, Woody, Street Rod, Business Advertisement on 2040-cars
Charlestown, Indiana, United States
For auction is a 1927 Ford Depot Hack Woodie street Rod. Titled as a 1927, has a crate 350 Chevy engine (less than 800 miles) with a 350 Turbo transmission, Pinto front suspension (same as Mustang 2) with disc brakes and tubular upper A-arms, Volare rear with drum brakes. Classic gauges, aftermarket wiring harness, tilt wheel, bucket seats from a Rodeo, ralley wheels with decent tires, lots of chrome and billet on motor, radiator rebuilt recently. I have slider windows for front and side windows come out for open air cruising. Fun little car that gets lots of attention and would be a great write off for a business. Timpone sail board from Hawaii goes with car. The car was originally a kit type project for Popular Mechanics or a mag like that a long time ago. You bought a Pinto donor car and built the rest from plans. I have owned the car and done extensive work on it for the last 25+ years. Drove it to the Frog Follies in Evansville, Indiana last year running 70 down the Interstate. Wife is ready for a more comfortable ride with AC. If you feel I have misrepresented the car upon purchase, I will gladly refund your money. Street Rod Nationals in Louisville in two weeks, buy it, come to the Nats, drive it home, or may be able to deliver, if it's not too far, for fuel. Car is for sale locally, so reserve the right to end auction early. Low reserve for a running, driving Woodie.

Ken Block ain't got a care about ruining his wheels
Tue, 22 Jan 2013During a drifting session at Irwindale Speedway in California, Ken Block made a boo-boo that would send a number of drivers immediately back to the infield. But there's an answer to "What do you do when you bash the wall while drifting and your wheel explodes?" and there's completely different answer when the question begins with the phrase, "When you're Ken Block..."
Instead of us telling you how Block handled the calamity in his Ford Fiesta competition car, you can watch it happen in the video below. You can probably also guess what it is - but it's more fun to watch.
Is that the Ford GT Le Mans racer in the background of this Forza video?
Mon, Jan 26 2015Shortly after the reveal of the new Ford GT in Detroit a couple of weeks ago, Microsoft announced that it was putting the new American supercar on the cover of the upcoming sixth installment of the Forza Motorsport video game series. Now it has put out a video of the process of digitizing Dearborn's latest. Whether you're into Detroit steel (or carbon fiber and aluminum in this case), exotic supercars or video games, the video is worth a watch in and of itself. But our eyes were focused on something else. In the background of one shot (around the 1:49 mark) you can see a design board with renderings of what looks to be the rumored racing version of the GT – complete with reshaped air intakes, deeper side sills, a bigger rear wing and a central rear fin like you'd find on the latest LMP1 racing prototypes. It wouldn't be the first time we've caught wind of the prospect of the Blue Oval's new supercar going racing. We first heard of the plans last October, further reinforced in December with reports of the new GT coming to Detroit. And as we reported just a couple of weeks ago following the supercar's reveal, a return to Le Mans could be in the cards – which would be fortuitous timing, since next year will mark the 50th anniversary of the original GT40 scoring its landmark 1-2-3 finish in the 24-hour race.
