Fresh Off Restore 1916 Brass Era Model T Truck Numbers Matching Car Block Also!! on 2040-cars
Algoma, Wisconsin, United States
For sale is my 1916 Brass Era Model T, fresh off a great
restore. This car is a great numbers matching car with not only
number matching but proof of this in the block date as well. Car started out in the early days as a roadster with a
farmer transforming it into a truck in the 30’s.
Story from the old gentleman I purchased it from is that in
the war area they were given gas rations in the order of 5 gallons if you had a car, 10 gallons if you were a
service member and 15 gallons if you were a Farmer and owned a truck.
This was the whole reason for purchasing the truck body from
the Cabinet co. from Des Plaines Illinois.
The number of the unit on a brass tag still on the bed of
the truck is number 167, a very early number as over 50,000 of these units were sold.
I purchased a brand new brass works radiator for this year
and no water pump is even needed In the warmest of summer days. I also put a battery box under it for starting power,
running the horns and street legal electric taillights in the oil lamps.
All 4 oil lamps are functional as oil lamps with just added wires and
reflectors and bulbs for street legal operation. Car runs best on magneto as there is no starter or
generator. Car starts easy on 1 or 2 cranks cold and less than that
warm. Headlights and one of the horns run on the magneto
also. Anyway, this is a great truck and has been completely
restored to the shape it was in at that time.
All metal fenders etc. and all wood stripped down, resealed
and varnished. Original Wood wheels were also taken down and sealed and
varnished also. This is a true find and would be a proud addition to any
person’s collection. I have entered this is many shows and always wins first in class and one best of show. Trophies do not go with the truck, Sorry. Since taking the photos I have added a drivers side rear oil lamp so both sides are matching in the back. Both oil lamps are functional but also have light lenses inside for a brake light & can easily be removed if you so choose. Also since pictures added a Ford Script for the back tailgate. Both are shown in the last photo. If needed, I can deliver for $1.50 per mile in an enclosed
trailer. Maximum 500 miles round trip. |

Entry-level F-150 now offers SuperCrew, Sport Package
Thu, 29 Aug 2013Ford has made a few notable tweaks to the lower end of its F-150 lineup, giving customers a more affordable version of the four-door SuperCrew body style. The popular SuperCrew could previously only be had on XLT models and above, but Ford has announced that 2014 F-150s with the base STX trim can get the more versatile body.
The STX SuperCrew brings the price of a four-door F-150 down from $34,525 to $33,145. Like the XLT SuperCrew, the STX will be available with the choice of a 5.5- or 6.5-foot bed, while a 5.0-liter V8 can replace the base 3.7-liter V6 for $4,425. Ford has not released pricing on the different bed lengths yet, but opting for the 6.5-foot bed on the XLT raises the price $1,240 and forces buyers into the 5.0-liter V8. We'd expect a similar arrangement on the STX.
The other big news for fans of affordable pickups is the addition of an STX Sport Package on the base-level truck. It adds 20-inch wheels, black exterior accents, black-and-gray cloth seats and decals on the truck's box. The Sport Package is available on all three of the STX's body styles, with Ford listing the price as $980 with current discounts.

Get a taste of Ford GT ownership from Dust Devils
Thu, Jan 1 2015It seems that the automotive world might be right on the cusp of getting some kind of follow-up to the Ford GT. It might not be called the GT or even use the coupe's retro look, but rumors point to such a beast being on the way. If the future halo model can inspire as much adoration among fans as the previous ones, then the Blue Oval is sure to have another winner on its hands. To get idea just how closely GT owners are bonded to their cars, take a ride with the participants in the ninth Ford GT National Rally in this short documentary titled Dust Devils. The owners convened with over 80 of the retro supercars in Las Vegas, NV, to admire the coupes and give them a workout on the desert roads. It's especially nice to see the drivers of these limited production Fords unafraid to take their cars to the track and stretch their legs a little. The long, low-slung look is simultaneously menacing and lithe, and the growl from the latest model's supercharged V8 is nothing to complain about either. Get just the slightest taste of what it's like to have one of these halo Fords in this clip, from the people that love them the most.
