1927 MODEL T- T BUCKET HOT ROD in FLORIDA !!!!

1927 MODEL T- T BUCKET HOT ROD in FLORIDA !!!! We had this listed before in auction but buyer never paid. Now listing buy it now, no auction. First buyer owns it. No reserve on this item and it's priced to sell !! Nice T Bucket hot rod here, had lots of work done to it. Someone had put some money in this hot rod. I was told by previous owner engine rebuilt, low miles and repainted, 289 ford V8, has headers with side pipes, ss wires, air cleaner that opens when throttled, chrome valve covers, Craiger mags, newer tires, rears still have the pimples on tread, Rear tires are large 18" wide, 9 bolt rear end, disk brakes, automatic trans, black upholstery and more. Rear hatch holds battery and gas tank. Body is metal, I checked it with a magnet. I'm sure there is bondo in some places but looks good. I bought this for a garage project awhile ago. I ordered some final parts to finish it and never got to it and I'm now involved in a boat and need the garage back. The parts I purchased come with the car they include a blinker unit for steering column (headlights and taillights are installed but not wired), mirrors, license plate bracket and 2 model A step plates. Car sets high in rear (looks cool) with the big tires so I bought two model A aluminum step plates to weld onto frame to make it easier to get in car, I'm too old to jump on tire and get in like old owner did. Check out all of the pictures enclosed. Only thing this car needs is the lights hooked up mentioned above. Radiator does have small leak and needs to be fixed or stop leak. Windshield right corner has break, its plexaglass. Shifter does not go into park and was told linkage needs adjustment, all gears no problem. Crack in bondo top edge drivers side. see pictures. All of our items are in good condition unless otherwise noted here. If you have any questions on this item please email us before bidding. Thanks so much for looking and bidding with us !

Feds open investigation into Chevy Express, Ford Freestar rust issues

Wed, 28 Dec 2011

'Tis the season... for road salt. And with that, comes rust. And what does rust bring? Well, for Ford and General Motors, a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation. According to The Detroit News, NHTSA is looking into potential recalls issues with Chevrolet Express vans and Ford Freestar minivans.
The feds have received five complaints that rust has caused leaking fuel filler pipes on 2003 Express vans. Separately, seven complaints have been filed over excessive rust in the rear wheel wells of 2004 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey minivans. The Freestar and Monterey went out of production in 2007. Neither issue has resulted in any crashes or injuries, according to the report.

Holy crime-fighting Ford F-150, Batman!

Thu, 18 Jul 2013

What would Batman drive for his weekly trips to Home Depot for the bits and pieces needed to keep his lair deep below Wayne Manor in tip-top condition? Certainly not the Batmobile - there's no way a 4x8 sheet of plywood will fit between the wheel wells, not to mention the fact that jet turbine engines have an unfortunate tendency to set trailers on fire when towing...
No, what Batman needs is a pickup truck. The boys from Ford teamed up with Galpin Auto Sports to build just such a machine, and it has just debuted at Comic Con. Designed by Jared Barris, grandson of the legendary kustomizer George Barris, the 2012 F-150 pickup you see here, dubbed Crime Fighter, is painted Tuxedo Black with Ferrari Red highlights and is affixed with fins on each side of the truck bed. It's nothing if not unique.
Well, it's at least unique for now. According to Ford, Galpin in Southern California is willing to take orders for customers looking to don a cape and hit the town for a night of crime-fighting action. Or trips to Home Depot. Check out our high-res image gallery and then scroll down for the official description from Ford. We're waiting for details such as pricing and build time from Ford, and we'll update this post if and when we hear back.

Which electric cars can charge at a Tesla Supercharger?

Sun, Jul 9 2023

The difference between Tesla charging and non-Tesla charging. Electrify America; Tesla Tesla's advantage has long been its charging technology and Supercharger network. Now, more and more automakers are switching to Tesla's charging tech. But there are a few things non-Tesla drivers need to know about charging at a Tesla station. A lot has hit the news cycle in recent months with regard to electric car drivers and where they can and can't plug in. The key factor in all of that? Whether automakers switched to Tesla's charging standard. More car companies are shifting to Tesla's charging tech in the hopes of boosting their customers' confidence in going electric.  Here's what it boils down to: If you currently drive a Tesla, you can keep charging at Tesla charging locations, which use the company's North American Charging Standard (NACS), which has long served it well. The chargers are thinner, more lightweight and easier to wrangle than other brands.  If you currently drive a non-Tesla EV, you have to charge at a non-Tesla charging station like that of Electrify America or EVgo — which use the Combined Charging System (CCS) — unless you stumble upon a Tesla charger already equipped with the Magic Dock adapter. For years, CCS tech dominated EVs from everyone but Tesla.  Starting next year, if you drive a non-Tesla EV (from the automakers that have announced they'll make the switch), you'll be able to charge at all Supercharger locations with an adapter. And by 2025, EVs from some automakers won't even need an adaptor.  Here's how to charge up, depending on which EV you have:  Ford 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E. Tim Levin/Insider Ford was the earliest traditional automaker to team up with Tesla for its charging tech. Current Ford EV owners — those driving a Ford electric vehicle already fitted with a CCS port — will be able to use a Tesla-developed adapter to access Tesla Superchargers starting in the spring. That means that, if you own a Mustang Mach-E or Ford F-150 Lightning, you will need the adapter in order to use a Tesla station come 2024. But Ford will equip its future EVs with the NACS port starting in 2025 — eliminating the need for any adapter. Owners of new Ford EVs will be able to pull into a Supercharger station and juice up, no problem. General Motors Cadillac Lyriq. Cadillac GM will also allow its EV drivers to plug into Tesla stations.
