I have a 1927 Ford T Bucket replica for sale. What a fun car. This car runs and drives good, needs very little. This car is a nice driver, NOT perfect, not a 100 point showcar. But it's nice enough you won't get laughed out of a local show and you will get thumbs up, people smiling and taking their phones out to take pictures at nearly every traffic light. The body is nice with no cracks in the fiberglass. The paint is still nice and shiny, has has a few small chip touch ups. The chrome has some flaking here and there. The front tires are new, the back need replacing. They are old with cracks and out of balance, they make a shimmy at about 40 MPH. It has a mild 350(1975) so it will run on any octane gas you want and always starts right up and never overheats. The numbers on the block are, casting number, 3970010, front pad numbers V102ITYZ C71120449. If you let it sit a week or so, it will puff a little smoke on startup, but not when it's running. I believe fresh valve seals will do the trick(or just drive it more than I do!!!!!). The interior in in nice driver shape, has one hole on driver's upper section about the diameter of a pencil(see close-up) that could easily be touched up. This was not a cheap build. Whoever built it sprung for a brass radiator w/ gauge, Hurst Airheart disc brakes up front, cross drilled discs in the rear, gasser style front mags, and American Racing rears. They built it nice. The steering turns like butter. Also not pictured but included...I have the top frame for it(no canvas, just the frame, and I have a brand new pair of wheelie bars in the box that I haven't gotten around to installing yet. Everything works except the gas gauge(needle fell off and sitting in bottom of gauge). There isn't a speedo in the car so mileage is unknown. Titled as a 1927 Ford Roadster. I have tried to describe this car as well as I could and put in tons of pictures, so keep in mind it's a driver, not a 100 point show car, so expect what you see in pictures. It is a really fun, attention drawing car. Clean, clear, Florida title in previous owner's name still. I will also give a bill of sale. Sold as is, with no warranty. Please see my other auctions for more interesting items, too many toys, not enough time...... If you are local and want to inspect it before bidding, I encourage that, just let me know. No whining or asking questions afterwards. Deposit of $250 due within 2 days through Paypal, the balance in cash within 2 weeks. If you are out of state and need more time, let me know BEFORE you bid, maybe when can work something out. Buyer responsible for shipping costs and arranging shipping plans to pick up from my house. I reserve the right to end this auction at any time, for any reason.

BMW, Hyundai score big in JD Power's first Tech Experience Index
Mon, Oct 10 2016While automakers are quick to brag about winning a JD Power Initial Quality Study award, the reality, as we've pointed out before, is that these ratings are somewhat misleading, since IQS doesn't necessarily distinguish genuine quality issues. JD Power's new Tech Experience Index aims to solve that problem. The new metric takes the same 90-day approach as IQS but focuses exclusively on technology – collision protection, comfort and convenience, driving assistance, entertainment and connectivity, navigation, and smartphone mirroring. It splits the industry up into just seven segments, based loosely on size, which is why the Chevrolet Camaro is in the same division (mid-size) as Kia Sorento and the Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class is in the same segment as the Hyundai Genesis (mid-size premium). It makes for some screwy bedfellows, to be sure. Still, splitting tech experience away from initial quality should allow customers to make more informed and intelligent decisions when buying new vehicles. In the inaugural study, respondents listed BMW and Hyundai as the big winners, with two segment awards – the 2 Series for small premium and the 4 Series for compact premium, and the Genesis for mid-size premium and Tucson for small segment. The Chevrolet Camaro (midsize), Kia Forte (compact), and Nissan Maxima (large) scored individual wins. Ford also had a surprising hit with the Lincoln MKC, which ranked third in the compact premium segment behind the 4 Series and Lexus IS. This is a coup for the Blue Oval, whose woeful MyFord Touch systems made the brand a victim of the IQS' flaws in the early 2010s. But Ford and other automakers might not want to celebrate just yet. According to JD Power, there's still a lot of room for improvement – navigation systems were the lowest-rated piece of tech in the study. Instead, customers repeatedly saluted collision-avoidance and safety systems, giving the category the best marks of the study and listing blind-spot monitoring and backup cameras as two must-have features – 96 percent of respondents said they wanted those two systems in their next vehicle. But this isn't really a surprise. Implementation of safety systems from brand to brand is similar, and they don't require any input from users, unlike navigation and infotainment systems which are frustratingly deep.
2015 Ford F-150 gets Power Wheels treatment [w/video]
Thu, 26 Jun 2014With the introduction of its forthcoming 2015 F-150, Ford is breaking with convention by shifting from steel-intensive construction to aluminum. But what if it weren't made of metal altogether? What if it were made of plastic instead, and packed an electric motor instead of an internal-combustion engine?
Feast your eyes, boys and girls, on the new Power Wheels F-150. Built by Fisher-Price and licensed by Ford, the third-generation ride-on toy started development nine months before the full-size version debuted at the Detroit Auto Show this past January, and is hitting sidewalks and driveways across the country this September.
The Power Wheels F-150 carries a sticker price of $349.99, and there's a special version at Toys R Us with LED headlamps (just like the real F-150) for an extra $10.
2015 Ford Mustang Convertible to recreate Empire State Building stunt
Tue, 25 Mar 2014It would have been all too easy to miss the auto show debut of the 2015 Ford Mustang convertible. It was, after all, unveiled alongside its fixed-roof counterpart at the Detroit Auto Show this past January, lumping coupe and cabrio into one debut. But Ford is evidently still intent on making its new droptop stand out. The top of the Empire State Building ought to do the trick.
Automotive history buffs may recall that, 50 years ago, Ford unveiled its first Mustang convertible atop what was then the tallest building in the world, that Art Deco icon of the New York skyline. Half a century later, Ford is recreating the feat and bringing the new topless Mustang to the same observation deck on the building's 86th floor.
Getting it up there, of course, will be no easy task. While they'd usually airlift the vehicle onto the roof or lift it by crane, the spire protruding from atop the building makes approaching the narrow observation deck too dangerous, and no mobile crane can telescope the thousand-plus feet it would take to get the pony car up there.
