1926 Ford Model T Tall T on 2040-cars
Frankfort, Kentucky, United States
I have a 1926 Ford Model tall T. First it is a true Henry Ford steel body that is titled as a 1926 Ford. No aftermarket glass body. This project started off as a very solid model T that was a true barn find that was stored untouched for years. Second it was mated to an extended Speedway frame with 4 link rear. The motor is a VERY healthy built 350. Motor is .30 with an over sized cam that thumps! Has an Edelbrock aluminum intake, rebuilt and jetted quadrajet, longtube headers, aluminum griffin radiator, 410 gear in a 10 bolt rearend. Trans is a 700R4 that has a very firm shift. Both motor and trans are mechanically sound with no leaks, smokes, or slips.
All glass is perfect. Has a tilt column, new Painless wiring harness, Classic Dolphin gauges. Front window still works. Swings out at the bottom for fresh air. Also brand new Weld draglite wheels and tires. 10x15 rear and 3x15 front runners. Battery is mounted in trunk. Plastic gas tank with working gauge. Car runs and drives very good. Gets looks and thumbs up everywhere. Car draws a crowd at the gas station. Things that it still needs is a headliner and carpet to make interior complete. Also needs door glass on both sides. Pics of car do no justice at all. You really need to see the car in person. Car was dusty and dirty in pics. Just to cold out to clean on it. Before bidding I invite you to come see the car in person. For more pics and video call 502-803-5767. Thanks |

A closer look at the 2015 Ford F-150
Thu, 16 Jan 2014Despite having to share Ford's Detroit Auto Show stand with the hot new 2015 Mustang, the brand-new F-150 was arguably an even more important debut. Why? Ford moved some 700,000 examples of its F-Series truck in 2012, making it not only the best-selling pickup truck, but the top-selling vehicle in the US, by a long-shot.
The 2015 F-150 raises the bar for pickup trucks in a big way, with big-time use of aluminum. Because of this, roughly 700 pounds have been removed from the truck's overall weight, making it even more efficient than before, while still offering all of the capability that pickup owners expect. And with a host of engines under the hood, including a new 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6, the 2015 F-150 will surely offer something for everyone.
During the Detroit Auto Show, west coast editor Michael Harley took a closer look at the new F-150, talking to some of the truck's engineers. Have a look at the full video, below.
2015 Ford Focus sedan shows its fresh face in New York
Wed, 16 Apr 2014That handsome fellow you see above is the 2015 Ford Focus sedan. We liked the looks of the 2014 Focus, and the updates for 2015 only improve things to our eyes, with the adoption of the Aston Martin-inspired grille that has been permeating Ford's lineup these last few years. Sweeping, slightly bulbous headlamps join a revised, more demure lower grille opening to round out the styling updates up front. The rest of the car's look is just slightly massaged, including new taillamp clusters that look much like they did last year.
New for 2015 is the availability of Ford's 1.0-liter three-cylinder EcoBoost engine, mated exclusively to a six-speed manual transmission. There's also a new SE Sport Package that adds more aggressive suspension tuning, paddle shifters (when equipped with Ford's six-speed dual-clutch automatic) and a few body kit bits and pieces. Rounding out the mechanical changes are an updated electronic steering rack that promises better feel, suspension tweaks to make the ride more comfortable and some software updates designed to make the dual-clutch gearbox better behave itself.
In addition, inside there are a few interior upgrades, as well as some added comfort and safety tech that includes available blind-spot detection and lane-keeping assist, along with other more incremental changes that all add up to a better vehicle. We suggest you check out the official press release below for all the details, but not before scrolling through our image gallery of live shots above.
Brits recreate iconic Bullitt chase scene
Tue, 13 May 2014Recreating the famous chase scene from Bullitt has become almost an art form in its own right. We've seen it done in a music video, with scale models and even in commercials. There are few films that are as defined by a single scene as the 1968 classic. Even if you don't know a single beat of the plot, the Highland Green Ford Mustang racing a Dodge Charger through the hilly streets of San Francisco is famous. It's so well known that the Silverstone Classic has created a homage to promote its celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Mustang at this year's event in July.
Filmed around the famous UK circuit, the short film generally gets the key points of the scene right. It even has a green Volkswagen Beetle that keeps reappearing, as in the movie. Unfortunately, its Steve McQueen stand-in looks a little too old for the role. While the video shortens the chase considerably, it's still great to see these '60s behemoths leaning and sliding around the track. Scroll down for a touch of nostalgia thanks to one of the greatest scenes ever in cinema - we've got both the recreation and the original chase seen from the movie waiting for you.
