1925 Tt C-cab Truck With Tilting Wood Truck Bed on 2040-cars
United States
This is a 1925 TT truck which was restored 2 years ago. At that time the truck had a new paint job and rear truck bed restored with new wood. It was sold to a high school friend of mine who only drove it around the block a couple of times. He no longer wants the truck and wants me to sell it for him because he doesn't know that much about Model T's. The truck runs beautifully. The engine has less than 100 hours since it was rebuilt. The magnets have been taken out and a special harmonic balancer was built on the flywheel to help take vibration out of the engine. It runs on a This is the same kind of balancer that is used on big 18 wheeler truck tires. Even with a distributor, it can start with two cranks on the hand crank. It has an electric starter as well. On the drive train, it has a Muncie transmission behind the Ford transmission giving the truck 6 speeds forward and two reverse. The transmission bands have been replaced. The TT which was notorious for slow driving speeds has a 5:1 worm drive replacing the standard 7:1 allowing the truck to drive faster and keep up with traffic. With the Muncie and the high speed rear end make a huge difference.
In addition to this, the truck has a very rare rear shock system using three springs on each shock. Two leaves have been re-arranged on the rear springs to give the truck a softer ride. It has a trailer hitch. It has Rocky Mountain brakes, Kingston carb, Chrome radiator shell, window side curtains for bad weather, New radiator. and a tilting truck bed. It also comes with a Klaxton type Oooga horn and outside rear mirror. The rear tires are old and new rear tires have been bought and with go with the truck. They have not been installed. The front tires are fine. All the wood on the wheel is in good shape. This is as good as any TT you will find. |

Creations n' Chrome Top Notch Mustang is a one-of-a-kind fox
Thu, 07 Nov 2013Is there a cooler car from the 1980s and early 90s to mod than a Fox-body Ford Mustang? No, there isn't. If you disagree with us, we suggest you have a look at this 1990 Mustang Coupe, which just might change your mind. Although considering just how extensively modified this car - the Top Notch Mustang from Creations n' Chrome - is, we wonder just how much Ford is left in this old pony.
It rides on a custom race tube chassis that weighs a scant 700 pounds, while carbon-fiber bits and bobs help lower the overall curb weight to a mere 2,400 pounds. When paired with supercharged, 5.0-liter, Aluminator V8 from Ford Racing, the results are, doubtlessly, exciting. 855 horsepower at the rear wheels and 667 pound-feet of torque are available from that force-fed V8 should be just plenty for this car's intended purpose of running in standing-mile competitions.
The Top Notch Mustang is more extreme than just weight savings and a big engine, though. That 5.0-liter is essentially in what's known as a front-mid layout - where the engine is actually behind the front axle. In this case, the 5.0-liter V8 is 17 inches further back than a factory Fox-body, for better weight distribution. As a result, the cabin has been completely overhauled. An SLA front suspension, wheels from HRE, Wilwood brakes and Sparco interior items round out the extensive list of mods.
2015 Ford Mustang Convertible shown on Twitter [UPDATE w/video]
Thu, 05 Dec 2013It hasn't yet been 12 hours since the hotly anticipated 2015 Ford Mustang has been let out into public view. After a series of evocative leaks over the course of the last days, we brought you a full deep dive of the sixth-generation pony car at the dawning of today. And yet, here we are rushing to bring you news of a new Mustang variant, already.
Be it part of a plan to keep the Mustang fervor at full boil, or a misunderstood email somewhere in the chain of command, Ford UK has unceremoniously tweeted a picture of the 2015 Ford Mustang Convertible. For a newly global Mustang, getting our first look at the droptop from the convertible-crazy British does make some amount of sense.
As for details, well, you're looking at them. Brandon Turkus reported yesterday that the Mustang 'vert would make use of a fully electric convertible mechanism, and that it would be of fabric construction rather than some kind of retractable hardtop. We see here that the fabric part is clearly true, and it does look as though Ford may still be employing the same kind of manually attached tonneau cover that exists right now. Of course, our view from this angle isn't great, and the particulars are still up in the air.
Ford Ka Concept shown in Brazil, could enter production by 2014
Wed, 13 Nov 2013The Ford Ka (pronounce it like a Bostonian saying "car") is the Blue Oval's sub-Fiesta offering in a number of markets that aren't North America. It's been a staple in Europe since it launched in 1996 and in South America since 1997, where it's enjoyed quite a bit of popularity as an affordable, efficient city car.
The European and South American models grew apart over the years, until Europe ended up with a Fiesta-inspired car and Brazil retained a more evolved version of the original Ka's styling. With this Ka Concept, which is really a concept in name only, Ford is previewing a Ka not just for the European market, but as the brand's new, global small car. With city car sales expected to grow dramatically in coming years and the ever increasing price of fuel, Ford's move to get a new, competitive car into the market on a global level isn't surprising.
Wearing Ford's new, familial grille, the Ka Concept features the same crisp, sculpted sheetmetal that's adorned the Fusion and Fiesta. Developed in-house by Ford Brazil, a production version could launch by 2014, according to Ford's press release. It's unclear what engines will sit under this car's hood, although we'd bet the 1.0-liter, EcoBoost three-cylinder from the Fiesta will be available at some point.
