This is my 1925 Model T truck project. This is the first year for the all steel closed cab truck. These only came as cab and chassis trucks from ford. My plan was to build a pickup out of it (something similar to the last picture). I have had this for many years and have not done anything with it so I have decided to pass it along to someone else so I can move on to other things.

What you get is the cab with doors, cowl and firewall. The door bottoms may need a little work but nothing major compared to others I have seen. One cab corner will need replaced as well as the lower most rear panel. There is some damage to the roof area. It looks like something fell on it a long time ago so that will need some work. I also have the front fenders. grille shell, radiator and hood for it. If you are looking to build a rod or do a restoration this is a good one to start with.

Being that I wanted to build a pickup out of it I did obtain a bed as well as other parts that I planned to use. I will offer these to the buyer at a additional cost.

I do have a title for the truck but since the stock engine is gone there are no numbers on it to match to the title. This will be your responsibility to take care of.

$100 deposit through paypal at time of purchase, balance at time of pickup. It will also need to be picked up within 30 days from time of purchase. Project is sold as is.  Feel free to ask any questions. E mail is the best way to contact me as my schedule changes from day to day.  Thanks for taking a look.

Oprah at it again, gives car away on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Sat, 17 Aug 2013

Oprah Winfrey loves giving away cars. Not only has she given Pontiac G6 sedans and Volkswagen Beetle retro-mobiles to everyone in the audience of her past show, but the other night on Jimmy Kimmel Live! she gave another car away to one lucky audience member, while yelling her now-famous line: "You get a car!"
Although the acting of Oprah and Jimmy Kimmel was obviously staged for this giveaway, the reaction from the woman in the audience was genuine shock as she found out that she had just won a new Ford Fusion Energi. Congrats!
Not to take away from what Oprah and Jimmy pulled off, but our cynical sides have to wonder if there isn't more than just a little coincidence that this giveaway took place on the same day that Ford announced a fuel economy reduction for the C-Max hybrid. You be the judge... Scroll down to watch the short clip from the episode.

How Ford secretly used customers to test its aluminum F-150 [w/video]

Fri, 30 May 2014

Automakers getting clever about disguising development vehicles isn't anything new. Between mules wearing the sheetmetal of other cars and prototypes decked out in as much camouflage as is practical, automakers know how to make it very difficult for the general public to get an exact idea of what kind of vehicle is in development. Ford, though, is rapidly becoming the master.
We knew that the Blue Oval originally tested the durability of the aluminum construction being used for the 2015 F-150 by building an all-aluminum 2014 truck and entering it in the Baja 1000 off-road race. That's no longer a secret. What we didn't know, though, is that the aluminum development dates back to before even that, and that some of the people in question had no idea what it was they were working with.
Ford says this is the first time prototypes have ever been handed over to the public.

Vaughn Gittin Jr. takes his dog for a drift

Tue, 09 Sep 2014

Vaughn Gittin Jr. spends a great deal of his workday going sideways, but he's usually alone in the endeavor. For a guy that is clearly a dog lover, we imagine that can get a bit lonely.
That won't be a problem for Gittin in this latest video, which features the racer hanging out with his good pal Brody (a dog) and everyone's favorite hot hatch, the Ford Fiesta ST.
