1925 Ford Model T Roadster Gow Job Jalopy on 2040-cars
Waterford, Michigan, United States
|
This car was built specifically to run at the Race of Gentleman race in Wildwood, N.J. It is a very good rendition of a very early hot rod. The car started life out as a touring sedan. The body was cut in half and shortened to roadster dimensions. The back turtle deck is an original from a 1925 roadster. All wood was removed and steel was used in it's place. The door was also skinned with steel, opens and shuts excellent. The interior has a Ford Model A subframe attached to the body so I could run Model A style floorboards. The floorboards are birch plywood. A trimmed down 1930 Ford Model A instrument cluster was used on the stock T dash. The seats are plywood with foam and fake leather, pretty comfortable. The windshield was chopped down with safety glass used. One corner has a small crack. The body sits on a late Model A chassis. The frame rails were pinched in the back to follow the Model T turtledeck. Headlights and taillight are 1929 Ford. All the wiring is brand new and the lights work as they should. Front brakes were completely rebuilt, rears were not rebuilt but work just fine. Steering is from a 1930 Model A. The body was made to look as old as possible. I left many of the dents and dings in it. Paint was brushed on and then buffed down to show some of the primer/age. It has a really great look to it. Engine runs great, has a carter 6 volt electric pump connecting the oval T tank ( in the turtledeck) to the zenith carb. Radiator was custom made to fit the T grill shell. The shell is actually two that I cut in half and welded together so the bottom matches the top. There is no fan on this car, it runs on country roads at 180 degrees all day. If you drive it in traffic alot it will warm up so a fan would be needed for constant stop and go driving. There are a ton of things I am missing so please feel free to ask me any questions you have. This is a bare bones car, nothing special, nothing fancy. It has drips, it leaks a bit but it is a blast to drive. It was built to look like a survivor that was built in the early 30's. It gets looks wherever it goes. PLEASE NOTICE if you are a big guy, you probably won't fit in this car, it is small as model T's were. Please NOTE:The mileage is not correct as this car did not originally come with a odometer. It has a clear Michigan title in my name and it matches the number on the engine and is registered as a 1925 Ford Model T. Please do not bid if you do not want to buy this car. This car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time.

8 new cars that are selling below MSRP
Thu, Nov 30 2023Car shopping has been a frustrating activity for many people in recent years, as strained new car inventories have led to markups and elevated prices across the board. It’s been difficult to find vehicles at anywhere near a reasonable price, and some in-demand models are still listed at a premium today. iSeeCarsÂ’ most recent study looked at several aspects of the new and used vehicle markets and found a handful of models that are selling at a discount – a rarity in todayÂ’s world. Most of the vehicles selling below MSRP in October were electric, though the Nissan Armada and Infiniti QX80 made the top eight. To be clear, weÂ’re not talking about huge discounts here – the Kia EV6 was selling with the largest discount of 3.1%. The other models on the list include: Kia EV6: -3.1 percent off MSRP Ford F-150 hybrid: -2.8% Hyundai Ioniq 6: -2.7% Nissan Armada: -1.8% Hyundai Ioniq 5: -0.9% VW ID.4: -0.6% Kia Niro EV: -0.3% Infiniti QX80: -0.2% Electric and hybrid vehicles like the Kia and Ford have been selling at a premium for a long time, as they experienced stronger than expected demand and had challenging early production runs. That theyÂ’re now selling at a discount could indicate wavering buyer demand, but itÂ’s too early to start sounding any serious alarm bells. Though some models are getting cheaper, the industry average is still heading in the wrong direction. The average MSRP of new cars sold last month was $42,510, while the average sales price was $46,077. That 8.4% overage is surprising to see so many months after the worst of the pandemic has passed. iSeeCarsÂ’ executive analyst Karl Brauer had a few words of encouragement, however, saying, “There are still very few ‘dealsÂ’ in the new car market. Shoppers looking to pay below MSRP for a new car will have to do their research, but a small number of models can be bought below sticker price.” Green Ford Hyundai Infiniti Kia Nissan Volkswagen Car Buying cheap cars

2015 Ford F-Series Super Duty is class-leading once again
Wed, 05 Mar 2014Time for everyone to feign surprise - Ford has just announced that it has the increased horsepower and torque levels of its 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbodiesel V8 engine for 2015. As you'd expect, the Blue Oval is claiming class-leading figures of 440 hp (up from 400) and 860 pound-feet (up from 800), and that's enough to enable Ford's F-450 Super Duty model to tow as much as 31,200 pounds, which, again, the automaker claims is class leading.
Now, it should be noted that the max rating quoted above is achieved with the Ford F-450. The 2015 F-350, which is perhaps a better comparison to the Ram 3500 HD pickup that claimed the towing crown in 2013 at an even 30,000 pounds, is capped at 26,500 pounds, either with a gooseneck or when towing a fifth-wheel trailer. In any case, it's going to take a load the size of Godzilla to make any of the current crop of fullsize heavy-duty pickup trucks break into a sweat. For those keeping track, Chevy rates its 2015 Silverado HD at a maximum of 23,200 pounds.
Ford's newfound pulling power comes courtesy of a larger turbocharger for its in-house Power Stroke engine, new fuel injector tips and, we'd assume, retuned computer controls. Besides the engine enhancements, the F-350 gets a wider front track for 2015 and new front springs, while the F-450 gains commercial-grade 19.5-inch wheels and tires, new rear U-joints, leaf springs, stabilizer bars and shocks. The steering and brake systems have also been upgraded.
