For sale- 1915 Model T Ford speedster

Came out of an estate where it sat for years. We purchased the car and started working on it for a friend, hoping he could use it, but it's not going to work for him. We have run the engine and it sounds good, and put the transmission through its gears and they seem to work fine. We did shift the Ruckstell a few times and everything sounds good but we have not driven the car on the road because it's not insured yet. The body, paint and brass are all in good to very good condition. Here is a list of what the car has and what we replaced

Replaced --
• New 12 volt fuel pump, filter and hoses,
• New 12 volt battery
• Radiator hoses and water tube (radiator leak repaired)
• Headlight switch
• Engine oil- 30 weight non-detergent
• Rebuilt starter motor and Bendix,

The car has --
• Model A Ford crankshaft,
• Waukesha Ricardo head
• Bosch front plate distributor
• 12 volt generator
• Water pump
• 1932 Ford exhaust manifold
• Downdraft carburetor
• Large drum Ruckstell rear end
• Mag post outside oil line
• Model T 1926-27 wire wheels with good tires
• Nice wooden tool box for storage and Storage under both bucket seats
• 12 volt fuel pump
• Beautiful brake & tail light
• Headlight & dash light- all lights work
• Good overall paint
• Working Ahooga horn
• A nice new Aluminum Hood that is too long and needs to be trimmed to fit

This is a project car and there still some work to do like - Fit the hood, New spindle bolts and bushings. As you can see by reading everything above- this is a lot of car for the money.
We have not driven the car.
It will be sold on a bill of sale. Please call- no texting Five10- Four32-Two021. Vehicle is located in Menlo Park,CA and is available for viewing.

Ford Australia debuts Ranger-based Everest SUV concept

Tue, 13 Aug 2013

Ford has been in hot water in Australia ever since it announced plans to end local production of the Falcon and Territory SUV. Besides canceling a model that is to Oz what the Mustang is to America, the end of production means more than a few folks will be out of work.
Keen to prove that it has a plan for the market, Ford has unveiled the Aussie-penned Everest Concept, a rough-and-tumble, seven-seat SUV. While not a direct replacement for the aging Territory (that role will eventually be filled by either the Edge or Flex, according to Car Advice) it's an indication from Ford's brass that the Blue Oval is still committed to Australia.
To prove that fact, Alan Mullaly, Mark Fields, Jim Farley and regional execs descended on Sydney for the debut of the new concept. Ford's Australian president and CEO, Bob Graziano, said of the Everest, "Our customers, our employees and Australia can be assured that we're connected to the nation and committed to our customers through terrific products with class-leading technologies."

Ford F-150 bumps Camry from top of Cars.com American Made Index

Tue, 25 Jun 2013

With July 4th just around the corner, what better time could there be for Cars.com to announce that the Ford F-150 is the Most American car of 2013? This may be especially true since it was the Toyota Camry, a car produced by a company based in Japan, that had held the top spot from 2009 to 2012.
Cars.com compiles its Most American list by considering the amount of parts each vehicle uses that come from America, where it's final assembly takes place and how many units per year are sold. "While the assembly point and domestic parts content of the F-150 didn't change from 2012-2013, vehicle sales are responsible for bumping the F-150 to the top spot," according to Patrick Olsen, Editor-in-Chief of Cars.com.
As far as automakers go (as opposed to individual models), Toyota retains the top spot it held in 2012, with General Motors, Chrysler, Ford and Honda (in that order) rounding out the list. The motivation behind this list each year, according to Olsen, is "to help car shoppers understand that 'American-Made' extends beyond just the Detroit three" and because "a study we conducted in 2012 indicated that 25 percent of shoppers surveyed preferred to buy American."

Autoblog joins Elon Musk and Danica Patrick in accepting ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

Tue, 19 Aug 2014

Unless you've been living in an off-the-grid cabin in the woods for the last couple of weeks or abstain entirely from social media activities, you've probably seen someone you know dump a bucket of ice and water over their own head recently. While the origins of the so-called Ice Bucket Challenge are shrouded in a history typical of Internet memes, its effectiveness in raising money and awareness for the ALS Association has been astonishing.
Celebrities from the worlds of entertainment, sports, technology and more have generated untold millions of video views in support of the organization that is helping patients with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS, better known as Lou Gehrig's Disease), and generated a much needed influx of cash, as well. Recent reports have some $15.6M raised in the last two weeks.
Of course, the big-hearted world of automotive celebrities has taken part in the drenching charity effort as well. Follow on below for some of the biggest names on four wheels getting iced for charity, with a smattering of your favorite Autobloggers thrown in for good measure.
