I have a friend who owns this car but after driving my 1919 Touring T he has decided it's not for him. As much as he loves the car is going to sell it. The engine number is 138087 and the body number is 131856. The leather seats are completely original and in very nice condition. The dash, hood shelves and door caps are still beautiful. It also has a KW Master Vibrator mounted but not wired. Too bad there is small dent in the brass radiator top tank but it's fairly minimal and the radiator looks fantastic otherwise. The top SEEMS original but likely is not.......it's in very nice condition although the rear window is cloudy so looks right for the car. It has a 12 rivet rear end and Hassler shocks all around. The Prestolite tank looks good, one headlight is missing a burner and reflector while the other is complete with nice silver yet and missing only a glass. All the other lights are there and in super nice condition........the screen on the bulb horn is even perfect. The car has surely had a repaint at some time and has some very nicely done, very thin, pinstriping on the front wheel hubs and spokes. Nothing gaudy and very tastefully done. His Dad drove the car up until 2 or 3 years ago and all the cylinders have good compression. Offers will be considered. $1000 to my paypal within 48 hours of auction end. Beyond that it will be between and the owner but to be settled for within 15 days The owner can store the car until you can arrange for hauling. www.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0025.JPG www.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0026.JPG www.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0027.JPG www.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0028.JPG www.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0029.JPG www.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0030.JPG www.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0031.JPG www.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0032.JPG www.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0033.JPG www.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0034.JPG www.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0035.JPG www.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0036.JPG www.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0037.JPG www.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0038.JPG www.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0039.JPG www.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0040.JPG www.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0041.JPG www.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0042.JPG www.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0043.JPG www.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0044.JPG www.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0045.JPG www.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0046.JPG www.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0047.JPG www.andersonofrosholt.com/1912ModelT/DSC_0049.JPG I also did a youtube walk-around video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aUSIXoPdALA |

2016 Ford Police Interceptor Utility is ready to tackle Chicago's mean streets
Wed, Feb 11 2015As is the way of things, when a civilian vehicle gets a significant update, it's only a matter of time before its police counterpart gets similar upgrades. In the case of the Ford Police Interceptor Utility, it's debuting with the same visual updates as the Explorer on which it's based, at this week's 2015 Chicago Auto Show. Like the civilian-market Explorer, the PI Utility is available with a standard 3.7-liter V6 that pumps out 304 horsepower and 279 pound-feet of torque. The higher-caliber option is the tried and true 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6, complete with 365 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque. The standard Explorer's optional 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder, meanwhile, won't be offered to the boys in blue. Regardless of engine, the Utility enjoys standard all-wheel-drive, as well as a six-speed automatic transmission. The tranny's default setting is primarily for fuel sipping, although if it detects more aggressive inputs – based on brake line pressure, deceleration and lateral acceleration rates – it switches over to Pursuit Mode, offering officers snappier upshifts and more aggressive downshifts. The PI Utility's other cool, new system is called Surveillance Mode. To protect officers from sneak attacks, Surveillance Mode warns them when someone approaches the rear the car, raising all four windows and locking the doors. While Ford says the system has "intermittent fault filter technology" to prevent "erroneous changes in sensor signals," we're betting it won't be long before veteran officers uncover some way to prank rookies with the tech. Beyond these new systems, this is the same Utility that officers know and love, only with a significant facelift reminiscent of what's found on the civilian model, which debuted at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show. The new grille has a positive impact on cooling performance, Ford claims, while a new headlight setup accommodates the high-beam-based "wig-wag" lights. The new look has also allowed Ford to offer police departments additional customized lighting options, for that special touch. Inside, a new steering wheel and center console should make officers' lives easier, as will the new (and requested) liftgate release button, found in the overhead console. Check out the first images of the new Police Interceptor Utility (and, sporty drivers, memorize that headlight pattern) up above. Be sure to check back for additional live images once we check out Ford's latest cop car, at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show.
Ford recalls 2017 Lincoln Continental for headlight problem
Tue, Oct 11 2016Ford Motor Co. is already recalling the 2017 Lincoln Continental for a headlight problem, the automaker announced Tuesday. The HID headlights may have been assembled with LED lens that don't have the correct lens optics to meet federal visibility requirements for turn signals. Ford says it is unaware of any accidents related to the issue. The company will replace the headlamp assemblies, if needed. The safety compliance recall covers 1,876 Continentals built from June 14 to Sept. 23 at Ford's Flat Rock factory south of Detroit. Most of the cars are in the United States; 49 are in Canada, and one is in a federalized territory. Only about 300 cars are in consumers' hands, a spokesperson said. Customers can use a Lincoln service program where dealers will pick up their Continental, fix it for free, and return it, the spokesperson said. Lincoln has high hopes for the Continental. The flagship sedan uses one of Lincoln's most iconic names and features a luxurious interior, available 400-horsepower V6 engine, and safety features like adaptive cruise control and a 360-degree camera. Lincoln recently announced an elaborate marketing campaign shot by renown photographer Annie Leibovitz to generate interest in the Continental. In a separate recall, Ford also said Tuesday that 60 Edges from the 2015-16 model year are being recalled to update their antilock braking system module. Ford Mustang returning to Australia in 2016
Mon, 15 Jul 2013Australia's Herald Sun newspaper has reported that the next-generation Ford Mustang is heading Down Under in 2016, just as Ford is hanging the "Closed for Good" sign on its Australian manufacturing operations and sending the Falcon to its grave. Ford hasn't offered any official word on the matter, but the paper says that Ford's global VP of sales and marketing, Jim Farley, is flying to Australia to make the announcement himself.
While Ford converted Mustangs in the early 2000s from left-hand to right-hand drive for the Australian market and then sold them at high prices, it's been almost five decades since Ford imported a dedicated right-hand-drive Mustang to Oz. The arrival of the global model specifically made for places like Australia and the UK means Ford will also be able to offer them at better prices than the converted models; the Herald Sun says the price is expected to be "close to $50,000."
And that's for one of the "V8 performance models," which are the only ones Australia will get; Ford apparently won't send the turbocharged four cylinder or the V6. The Aussies could find out in a month from now whether this rumor is true. We will all find out what this Mustang fuss is about when the car debuts at next year's New York Auto Show.
