1909 Ford Model T Tourabout. Well preserved older restoration of a very original car, AACA National First Prize Winner. The tourabout model was introduced later in the 1909 model year and discontinued in early 1911. This particular car has been in storage for over 20 years. Has the original open valve engine # 6361 with the one piece pan and correct transmission cover. It is equipped with a Brass Kingston carburetor. The coil box is wood but slightly newer to accommodate the later coils. The box has an original Kingston switch complete with the original key. Windshield is a Rands and the horn a Rubes. The front and rear axles are unique southern track, with one piece spindles in front, a six rivet rear and correct wheels front and back. It has E&J 466 headlights with good mirrors and burners along with E&J side and tail light. The upholstery is leather and in excellent condition. It has a lined top that is in very good condition. The body is very original, see photo of original front and back cushion frames. As I said it is an older restoration, national first prize in 1962, but the paint is still in remarkable condition. Body number matches the engine number. There is some minor cracking especially at any joints. Car runs and drives well, even runs on mag. It is located in northern NJ in a heated building. Please call me at 201-327-7621 to inspect the car. It will be sold as is where is. Email me for any further information. I have some history of the car. It was discovered by Bob Thayer who started collecting cars in 1922 and probably owned more than 600 cars in his lifetime. He was a very early member of AACA.  All payments must clear before the car is released. I can store the car for some time provided it is paid for. Can arrange for delivery within 300 miles.

Ford Everest Concept shows China also has an affinity for big trucks

Mon, 21 Apr 2014

The Ford Everest Concept SUV at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show shows the future of the Blue Oval's truck line in China. While a concept for now, we're told that JMC, Ford's Chinese joint-venture partner, will build a production version sometime in the near future.
With design from Ford's Asia Pacific design team, the handsome seven-passenger SUV shows off some very muscular styling with wraparound headlights that hook into the contours of the angular trapezoidal grille. The beltline rises up the body in the rear and makes the back appear higher than the front. The rear is made from hard, chiseled contours that give the truck a very tough look. The Everest looks ready for some rough roads.
Ford is keeping the interior and mechanical details about the Everest a secret for now, but the SUV is rumored to share some components with the overseas Ranger pickup. The company has no plans to sell the truck in North America. Scroll down to read the official announcement, including the few details on its production.

2015 Ford Mustang gets pricing, configurator and less weight than expected

Fri, 13 Jun 2014

It's here; it's finally here. No more speculating or looking at dealer order guides, the configurator for the 2015 Ford Mustang is finally online. That means you should put down whatever you're doing and build your new 'Stang. Weight data for the new model has also leaked out, and while there is an increase, it's less than previously rumored.
The basic V6 coupe carries a base price of $23,600, plus an additional $825 destination charge for all models. Upgrading to the 2.3-liter Ecoboost costs $25,170, and the Ecoboost Premium is $29,170. If you need a V8 in your life, the Mustang GT is $32,100 or $36,100 with the Premium package. That puts the starting price up about $1,000 over the previous generation for the V6, but the turbocharged four-cylinder starts about $1,400 less than the V6 Premium, which is no longer available. Prices for both V8 models jumped about $1,000, as well.
If you need the convertible Mustang, the V6 starts at $29,100, excluding destination, $1,590 more than last year. The Ecoboost Premium 'vert is $34,670, and the GT droptop is $41,600.

Ford Mustang GT500 successor spied near SVT

Tue, 17 Sep 2013

Details about the next-gen Ford Mustang are scarce, and there's even less information out there about the upcoming replacement for the Shelby GT500. Previously rumored to drop the Shelby name and wear the GT350 moniker, the highest-performance Mustang has just been spotted testing near Ford's SVT operations.
Despite being cloaked in heavy camouflage, we can instantly tell this prototype is different from other Mustang spy shots we've seen in the past. Aside from the Shelby-spec wheels, quad exhaust outlets (previous spy shots show only two) and beefier brakes, this car also has air intakes on the hood and front fenders. These elements help to neither prove nor dismiss rumors that the next SVT Mustang will be naturally aspirated. It also looks like Ford is may be planning some changes to this car's rear suspension, as there is some extra camouflage added beneath the rear end of this prototype.
As a bonus, these spy shots also give us our first look inside the new Mustang, revealing a new steering wheel (with more buttons) and a glimpse of the dual-pod instrument gauges. Check out past spy shots of the 2015 Mustang showing off its new face and driving around town.
