If you are looking for a car to have fun with, this is it. It was restored from 1976 to 1978 with over $20,000.00 spent. We have all the reciepts and a photo album with even the Barn Find photos. We have owned the car for about 6 years. We have shown this car at the Marin, Palo Alto and Hillsborough Concours. It was awarded Best Vintage at the Pacific Grove Concours Rally 2008 and best in class at various car shows in 2009, 2011 and 2013. Because of it's unmodified condition she almost always wins a trophy when entered in the stock classes of those years. It is in perfect mechanical shape and needs nothing to drive and enjoy. The car is a joy to drive and really turns heads. It is registered with the correct year plates, comes with tools and some parts. It does have some wear and tear on the body as she is no trailer Queen. I have driven her around town quite a bit and my Grandhildren love riding in her. I have photo documented the paint issues. It does have a recent LeBaron Interior, Parade Boot and Rebuilt Speedometer. If you are looking for a car to drive, have fun with and not worry about getting a scratch, this is it. 2015 Ford Mustang to make world debut on Dec. 5 [w/video]
Tue, 19 Nov 2013Between a bevvy of spy shots, speculative renders and insidery images from the halls of Car and Driver, we've got a pretty decent idea of what the 2015 Ford Mustang might look like. Still, we're excited to see the real deal as soon as possible.
Turns out that Ford has told us just when that first official look might come, too, although it has chosen somewhat of a backdoor fashion for dropping the news.
The video below popped up on the Ford Mustang YouTube channel this morning, promoting a social media effort called #MustangInspires on. The video and hashtag ask fans of the pony car to share pictures of the car - or "photographic stories of inspiration" - on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc. But the truly interesting part of the video description is that which mentions taking "the cover off the all-new Mustang" on December 5. Consider our calendars marked.
Ford cranks up '32 Ford body production
Tue, 14 Jan 2014If you're going to build your own hot rod, you'll want to start with a '32 Ford 5-Window Coupe. Favored by American servicemen returning from World War II, the '32 Ford remains the very icon of the hot rod to this day. The trouble is there were only so many of them made in the first place, and finding one today can be a challenge. That's where reproduction models come in.
The aftermarket is replete with companies that will sell you a fiberglass body in the form of a '32 Ford coupe, but quality can be hit or miss. So to help meet demand among hot rod builders and enthusiasts, Ford has teamed up with United Pacific Industries to offer officially licensed body shells.
Announced at the SEMA show in November, the '32 Ford 5-Window Coupe body is made from stamped steel according to original specifications from original machinery where possible or reproduced machinery built to the same original specifications where necessary. The bodies are ready to accept vintage powertrains or crate motors from the Ford Racing catalog, and join the 9,000 other parts offered in the Ford Component Sales catalog - including similar reproduction bodies available for the 1965-70 Mustang and 1940 Ford Coupe. From there, the proverbial sky's the limit.
Are you Ford's next Bullitt Mustang? [w/poll]
Thu, 27 Mar 2014Ford has a long history of offering special editions of its legendary Mustang. One of the most vaunted of those trim packages, though, has only been offered twice. The first time was in 2001, and then again in 2008. Yes, we're talking about the Bullitt.
Named for the infamous Dark Highland Green Mustang Fastback driven by Steve McQueen in the 1968 cop melodrama Bullitt, the car was famous for not just its pilot, but the high-speed chase it took part in during the movie. Now, we think we have images of the next Bullitt.
According to our spy photographers, the paint is a "dead-ringer" for the Dark Highland Green that has signified these special edition Mustangs. While we're inclined to agree, it's also worth pointing out that this shade looks very similar to one of the 2015's other new colors, Guard. We've yet to see one on the road (let alone in such dreary conditions), so it's tough to say for certain.
