Happy  Days

1931 Ford Roadster. Compare this one to the really nice Hot Rods that you have seen (no kit car here) real Henry Ford Steel, this one is ready to go and enjoy the way it is, you can drive it anywhere, I took it for a ride this morning before I took these pictures, it draws attention and great comments everywhere I take it always " Thumbs Up "  This car has won multiple trophies and has been used in parades, it is really fun to drive and show. Powered by a great running small block Chevy with 3 Deuces and backed by a 350 Turbo Automatic, all the vintage Stewart Warner gauges work, signals and lights work properly, has tilt wheel, vintique wheels, wide whites with street slicks on back, you can see the quality in every detail. I also have my 30 Model A Coupe for sale, it has a 3" chop, suicide doors, electric windows, 468 big block with a 4 speed, it was tubbed to accommodate the big street slicks on back, narrowed 9" Ford rear with strange axles and gears, this was professionally built to drive, cruise or do a little racing all kind of neat tricks in this car and it toured Ocean City last fall, it is ready for paint or you can drive it as is. It is for sale for best offer and has a build cost of around 30K. I would like to invite you to come and inspect either one of these cars, they are both tagged. titled and insured in my name in Pa.     Thanks

Cadillac ELR, Nissan Resonance and Ford Atlas win Eyes on Design awards

Fri, 18 Jan 2013

This year's annual Eyes on Design awards were presented at the end of press days for the Detroit Auto Show on Tuesday. Given out for the best production and concept car designs that debuted at the show, and voted on by an esteemed panel of actual car designers, this year's award for best production vehicle design went to the 2014 Cadillac ELR. The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette, which was the show favorite among Autoblog editors, apparently did not impress the Eyes on Design judges enough with its all-new vent-festooned design.
The award for best concept design was actually split as a tie among the Nissan Resonance and Ford Atlas concepts. Last year's winners were the 2013 Ford Fusion and the Lexus LF-LC concept.
The Eyes on Design organization also presented a new honor this year called the Catalyst Award to Bob Lutz, former Vice Chairman of General Motors. Lutz is reported to have given a defense of design in his acceptance speech, arguing that advancements in quality across the industry as a whole have made good design a key differentiator for buyers.

Oprah at it again, gives car away on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Sat, 17 Aug 2013

Oprah Winfrey loves giving away cars. Not only has she given Pontiac G6 sedans and Volkswagen Beetle retro-mobiles to everyone in the audience of her past show, but the other night on Jimmy Kimmel Live! she gave another car away to one lucky audience member, while yelling her now-famous line: "You get a car!"
Although the acting of Oprah and Jimmy Kimmel was obviously staged for this giveaway, the reaction from the woman in the audience was genuine shock as she found out that she had just won a new Ford Fusion Energi. Congrats!
Not to take away from what Oprah and Jimmy pulled off, but our cynical sides have to wonder if there isn't more than just a little coincidence that this giveaway took place on the same day that Ford announced a fuel economy reduction for the C-Max hybrid. You be the judge... Scroll down to watch the short clip from the episode.

Who sold the most heavy-duty pickups in 2012? PickupTrucks.com investigates

Tue, 26 Feb 2013

Domestic manufacturers enjoyed a good year for heavy-duty pickup sales in 2012. PickupTrucks.com has taken a close look at exactly how those sales broke down between each manufacturer and between three-quarter and one-ton pickups. Ford sold some 67,786 F-250 Super Duty models last year with the Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD falling just behind at 56,359 units. The Ram 2500 HD came in third at 41,918, while the GMC Sierra 2500 HD earned itself fourth place with 27,616 deliveries. While Ford held onto the top spot in the one-ton market, Ram easily nailed down second place by selling more 3500 HD models last year than General Motors sold Silverado 3500 HD and Sierra 3500 HD trucks combined.
So, did GM manage to sell more trucks than Ford with its two brands? Very nearly. Ford sold a total of 119,338 heavy-duty pickups to GM's 111,555. Ram, meanwhile, moved a distant 77,583. But perhaps more interesting is the diesel take rate in this segment. PickupTrucks.com says 80 percent of all domestic one-ton trucks roll from the dealer lot with a turbo-diesel under the hood. Head over to the site for a closer look at the breakdown.
