Texas Classic Cars of Dallas is proud to present this antique Ford Model A. This '31 Tudor Sedan is a pleasure to drive and presents exceptionally well throughout. Enjoy our presentation and feel free to contact Dave at 214-213-7072 or Maris at 214-616-2317 with any questions.
The exterior finish shows well over the Henry Ford steel body. The 2-tone grays are contrasted with black full length fenders & a pinstripe. This is a really nice Model A.
The brightwork shows well throughout. The Flying Quail deluxe hood ornament fits this Ford perfectly.
The paint features Ford colors, Pembroke Gray, French Gray, and a pinstripe. These classic drabs fit this car perfectly. The paint and body are in very good condition with only a chip here or there.
An every-mans car, this Model A runs down the street well. The clutch grips good, the steering and the brakes operate correctly. The gauges are working, this "A" has been converted to a 12-volt alternator charging system for reliability sake. This work was recently done in our shop. We also removed the gas tank and sent it out to be cleaned and coated.
The upholstery is finished in cloth with the wood flooring protected with rubber mats. The door panels are also in good condition with pouches for maps, compasses, even a cell phone nowadays.
The rear window shade is also in place. The mohair-type headliner is in good condition throughout.
The dash is fitted with its factory gauge cluster. The speedometer & odometer are working as is the amp gauge.
The steering wheel horn button works, complete with the "early & late" spark adjustments for your motoring pleasure.
The black vinyl top is in very good condition.
The wheels of choice are 19-Inch Ford Wires, wrapped in Firestone classic "Gum-Dipped" Whitewall tires, in great condition throughout. A spare tire/wheel is mounted on the rear of this Tudor sedan.
Under the hood panels resides the tried and true L-head Model A 4-cylinder engine rated at 40 horsepower. The engine compartment displays original metal and correct components with exception of the later 12-volt alternator charging system. While in our shop we also did a tune up on the old girl.
The undercarriage consists of stock suspension and framework throughout. The rear end, engine & transmission undersides are in good shape as are the floor boards. This is a sunny-weather Model A ready to drive around and enjoy.

Ford has, for at least the second year in a row, teamed up with techno promoter Paxahau and a couple of artists to make music in recognition of the Detroit Movement music festival. This time, Movement performers Ataxia and Secrets were selected by Ford, and were invited to spend some time at the automaker's Michigan Assembly Plant, which gives birth to the Ford Focus and Focus Electric models. Now that we know the what, how about the why? According to Ford, "Detroit is uniquely tied to the origins of the electronic music scene. In the 1980's variations of electronic music stemmed from inspirations of industry, including the automotive sector." So, there you go. If you're interest is piqued, feel free to read the press release, watch the video and listen to the tracks below.
New truck! Jimmy Fallon of The Tonight Show has been searching for the perfect new truck for a few weeks now, soliciting help from all corners in the process. Last night, Fallon made the announcement that the Ford F-150 King Ranch - in all of its cowboy glory - had been picked as his big winner. To add some more spice to a storyline that now dips deeply into the realm of the advertorial, Fallon also announced a contest to see which Ford dealership would get the privilege of selling him the King Ranch. Dubbed "Fingers on a 4x4" The Tonight Show has invited 10 dealer reps from around the country to keep their hands on Jimmy's F-150 for as long as possible. Last salesperson standing wins. Watch Fallon make his pick and introduce the dealer reps below, and be sure to click on the second video for a live-streaming feed of Fingers on a 4x4 in action (the contest seems to be going strong).
The horsepower wars are tightening among the Detroit Three, as the Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Camaro and Dodge Challenger are getting bigger, more powerful, and yes, more fuel efficient. That came into sharper focus this week as more information was revealed about the most insane Challenger ever - the 707-horsepower Hellcat - followed quickly by Ford's in-depth showcase of the 2015 Mustang in Dearborn. It's shaping up to be a golden age for enthusiasts, and what's under the hood is becoming more important than ever.
