For all you HOT RODDERS & CAR CRAZY people out there looking for a COOL Project to HOT ROD or Restore.... here it is!!!

This is an ORIGINAL Henry Ford ALL STEEL Five Window Coupe. This Coupe has been in a garage, on blocks, since the 40’s and was a ONE owner car before found. This is a great starter to restore or to make into a true Hot Rod. The body has some small rust spots, but is still very solid and is pretty much all there, but will need a wood kit since termites took a toll on the interior (see pics for condition). The frame is the original ’31 Model A frame that came with this body and has been kept true to its roots (in other words, not boxed). It retains its original front & rear cross members, and all its original drivetrain as well (car does not run).

Get ready for SUMMER!!!

FUN, FUN, FUN…….in the sun!!!

To sum it up, this Coupe will be a blast to drive once it’s done!!! I have a clean title in hand…and am listing this at a very low reserve….That’s right……a VERY

LOW RESERVE!!!

NHTSA closes Ford F-150 EcoBoost acceleration probe

Mon, 14 Apr 2014

Typically when we report on the findings of an investigation from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, it's because the government body has discovered a safety issue and prescribed a recall. In this case, however, NHTSA has closed an investigation into a reported performance deficit without ever getting to the recall stage.
The issue revolves around the Ford F-150 - specifically those equipped with the 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine - of which some 360,000 were built in the 2011, 2012 and 2013 model years. After receiving an initial 95 complaints, NHTSA opened an investigation last May - almost a year ago - into the reported issue of reduced engine power under hard acceleration. The agency has since received a total of 525 such complaints, and Ford itself reported receiving over 4,000.
Together, NHTSA and Ford determined that the problem resulted from cylinders misfiring, an issue itself stemming from water getting into the charge air cooler (CAC) mated to the turbochargers. In particularly humid or rainy conditions, water was found to get into the CAC, causing some of the cylinders to misfire, which in turn triggered the ECU to disable those cylinders in order to protect the catalytic converter from damage.

Solid axle? What solid axle?
I was fully prepared to embark on a seven-day journey down a rabbit hole of broken bolts, internet hearsay and consternation.
This should not have gone this easily. Having a long and checkered history of simple projects punctuated by much wailing and gnashing of knuckles, I was fully prepared to embark on a seven-day journey down a rabbit hole of broken bolts, internet hearsay and consternation when I finally decided to lay hands on the '89 Mustang with the goal of relieving the car of its stock rear axle. Instead, it took less than a full morning's worth of work to carve the old 7.5-inch solid axle from its moorings and mock up something, well, different.

Oprah at it again, gives car away on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Sat, 17 Aug 2013

Oprah Winfrey loves giving away cars. Not only has she given Pontiac G6 sedans and Volkswagen Beetle retro-mobiles to everyone in the audience of her past show, but the other night on Jimmy Kimmel Live! she gave another car away to one lucky audience member, while yelling her now-famous line: "You get a car!"
Although the acting of Oprah and Jimmy Kimmel was obviously staged for this giveaway, the reaction from the woman in the audience was genuine shock as she found out that she had just won a new Ford Fusion Energi. Congrats!
Not to take away from what Oprah and Jimmy pulled off, but our cynical sides have to wonder if there isn't more than just a little coincidence that this giveaway took place on the same day that Ford announced a fuel economy reduction for the C-Max hybrid. You be the judge... Scroll down to watch the short clip from the episode.
