1930 Model A Ford Modified - Chopped Top All Metal - 350 V8 Automatic- Beautiful on 2040-cars
Jasonville, Indiana, United States
This is a beautiful car and other than a few paint chips the car is perfect. I drove it in the July 4th parade and received a plaque for it as peoples choice award and wasn't expecting that. I was just showing it off!! Anyway I will tell you what I know for sure about the car. I didn't build it but I can tell you someone put a ton of money into it. The top is chopped three inches and metal top put on it and a perfect job I have to say. I was a body man for twenty two years before I went to work at the prison then after fourteen years of Correctional Officer my V.A. doctor said I needed to retire for various reasons due to Agent Orange. Anyway I'm getting off course here the body work was done right and the paint is near perfect! I love this car it's just I thought I could afford it but I owe too much money and I'm sure alot of you can relate to that? It has the louvered hood on top, black running boards and fenders. The duel tail pipes are bent so they come out at the base of the back fenders so you don't see them but they sound sweet. I call the colors Harley colors and it has a small Harley sticker in the back window. Certain ways the light hits the orange it looks yellow as you might see in some of the pictures. To me it reminds me of American Graffiti and when I drive it I feel like an old John Milner but I don't drive it like he did. I baby it but now and then you like to kick it down a little. It has a 350 V8 and I believe they told me it had a 350 automatic trans. It has all the gauges, power windows, and even the rumble seat is power. There is only fourteen thousand miles since the rebuild, I bought it of an older lady that had it twelve years and only put two thousand miles on it and it stayed in a climate controlled garage. I've probably put that many on it and only had it less than six months. Anyway the only chips in the paint are like on the spring holders that holds the hood down and a chip where the rumble seat closes other than that the car is a beauty and gets attention everywhere she goes. Oh it does have the aooga horn also and the windshield still slides open at the bottom. Any other questions just ask.

Ford Mustang to get four-cylinder in Europe, but not US
Thu, 07 Mar 2013Fans of the Ford Mustang SVO, which was produced from 1884 through 1986 with a turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine and a manual transmission, may be interested to know that Ford is reportedly going to introduce something similar for 2015. But don't get too excited if you live in the US, as Edmunds reports that the vehicle will be offered in Europe only. Boo!
According to the report, Ford will put a version of its EcoBoost turbocharged four-cylinder into the engine bay of the Mustang. The engine would be enlarged from its current 2.0 liters to 2.3 liters, taking horsepower from 252 to around 300. The well-known 5.0 V8 engine will also be available in Europe.
"The Mustang is uniquely Ford and has a huge fan base here in Europe. Now those fans have something to look forward to and we look forward to providing more details in the near future," says Ford of Europe CEO Stephen Odell. That's great... but why not offer buyers in the States the (likely) fuel-efficient turbo option, too?
Autoblog joins Elon Musk and Danica Patrick in accepting ALS Ice Bucket Challenge
Tue, 19 Aug 2014Unless you've been living in an off-the-grid cabin in the woods for the last couple of weeks or abstain entirely from social media activities, you've probably seen someone you know dump a bucket of ice and water over their own head recently. While the origins of the so-called Ice Bucket Challenge are shrouded in a history typical of Internet memes, its effectiveness in raising money and awareness for the ALS Association has been astonishing.
Celebrities from the worlds of entertainment, sports, technology and more have generated untold millions of video views in support of the organization that is helping patients with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS, better known as Lou Gehrig's Disease), and generated a much needed influx of cash, as well. Recent reports have some $15.6M raised in the last two weeks.
Of course, the big-hearted world of automotive celebrities has taken part in the drenching charity effort as well. Follow on below for some of the biggest names on four wheels getting iced for charity, with a smattering of your favorite Autobloggers thrown in for good measure.
Ford Recalls Nearly 700,000 Vehicles
Fri, May 9 2014Ford is recalling more than 692,000 Escape small SUVs and C-Max gas-electric hybrids in North America to fix two safety problems. The recalls cover vehicles from the 2013 and 2014 model years. Most of the Escapes have both problems. The first case covers 692,500 Escape and C-Max vehicles. A software glitch can stop the side curtain air bags from inflating in certain types of rollover crashes. The company says it has no reports of crashes or injuries. Dealers will reprogram the air bag control computer for free. About 65,000 of the recalled vehicles are C-Max models, and the rest are Escapes. Roughly 591,000 are in the U.S., with 3,500 more in U.S. territories. About 78,000 are in Canada and another 19,500 are in Mexico, Fordspokeswoman Kelli Felker said in an e-mail. There could be more vehicles affected in other markets, the company said. The affected Escapes were built from Oct. 5, 2011 through Feb. 14, 2014. The C-Max vehicles were built from Jan. 19, 2012, through Feb. 24, 2014. The second case covers about 692,700 Escapes. Exterior door handles can bind and stop the door from latching properly. This could allow doors to open while the SUVs are in motion. Dealers will inspect the handles and reposition them if needed. No crashes or injuries have been reported. About 583,000 are in the U.S. or its territories, with another 89,500 in Canada and 20,000 in Mexico. Ford said in this case, the problem may affect vehicles in other markets. All the North American Escapes were built from Oct. 5, 2011, through April 10, 2014. Recalls Ford escape
