I am selling this 1930 Ford for a friend who is way too busy working  & who does not know how to list a car here on ebay. Louie has owned the Ford for a few years now & we have gone on a lot of good rides in it but he had recently started his own business & he no longer has the time to drive the car & could use the money from it to go into his business.    Up for sale is a 1930 Ford, not sure if its a model T or model A.   It is 4 cylinder, standard 3 speed.  It is painted red on the outside with black fenders & running boards.  It has spoke rims & 2 spare tires that sit in the running board behind the fenders on both sides.  It has the rear Travel trunk & rear rumble seat.  It shows 12046 as the miles on it. It has 2 mirrors on both sides of the car. One on the door & one attached to the spare tire.   It has the ahh ouga ga horn on it & every one turns & looks when the horn is blown.  It has Garfield 4 ply white wall tires on it.  The windshield opens up from the bottom to let air in while you are driving.  Everything on the car works & it drives well.  its been sitting for a while since louie started the business but i did start it up today & washed the dust off of it & drove it around a little & it ran ok. It only might need a tune up from sitting around for a while.   You are more than welcome to come by  bring your mechanic to look over the car if you are in or near the Hunts Point Section of the Bronx. The car comes with a clean NYS Registration, as in New York State cars older than 1975 come with registrations instead of titles. Please ask any & all questions as soon as possible to give me time to get back to you with an answer. If you need a question answered right away then call Louie at 917 312-6058

Now for the Scammers::  No. I will not cash your or your clients check & give you the balance back. If you want to but the car for your client, then you buy it & sell it to them. Shipping is the sole responsibility of the winning bidder. Once the car is paid in full. you can ship it to where ever you want as long as you pay for the shipping.  Cash on pick up is the best form of payment. If by cashiers check or money order, they must first clear my bank before the car or the paperwork is released. Im sorry if your shipping truck happens to be in the area before the check clears.

Ford ready to install GE Wattstations at 60 locations in North America

Thu, Mar 20 2014

Upper-level Ford executives are sending mixed messages about the power of plug-in vehicles, but in the companies parking lots across North America, at least, the signal is clear: come on and charge your EV. Today, Ford and GE announced that the Blue Oval will be installing Wattstation chargers at its Dearborn HQ and will then add units at more than 60 locations across the US and Canada, including "offices, product development campuses and manufacturing facilities." If you're a Ford employee, then you get four hours of free charging a day. That should be plenty to top off any of the company's plug-in vehicles, even the Focus Electric, and the time limit encourages drivers to swap cars at lunch, because Ford wants to encourage charging station sharing and get more employees to plug in. Ford doesn't mention the DOE's Workplace Charging Challenge by name in the release (available below), but we suspect these Wattstations are part of that project. Ford was one of the founding members, joining the Workplace Charging Challenge on January 31, 2013. On that date, the Ford Motor Company and Ford dealers had over 1,750 charging stations installed on company/dealer property. Ford, GE WattStation Chargers Support Employee Electric Vehicle Charging Network Ford to install its first employee electric vehicle charging station network in Dearborn, Mich.; facilities across the United States and Canada to follow Ford will work with GE as its network provider and supplier of electric vehicle charging stations; networked stations will help Ford understand charging usage and plan for future installations Ford electrified vehicles have logged an estimated 65 million electric miles over the last 18 months. Ford now offers six electrified vehicles, including Focus Electric, C-MAX Energi and Fusion Energi plug-in hybrids, and C-MAX and Fusion hybrid vehicles Ford Motor Company in conjunction with GE, will supply vehicle charging stations at Ford facilities nationwide, beginning with facilities in and around its headquarters. The announcement continues the innovative cooperation begun more than 100 years ago between Henry Ford and Thomas Edison, co-founder of GE. This month, Ford will begin installing GE WattStation™ charging stations across its North American campuses, developing a workplace charging network at nearly every Ford facility in the United States and Canada.

National Geographic Channel balances Ford F-150 on four coffee mugs

Wed, 29 Jan 2014

Proving that there is still something to be learned on television these days, National Geographic Channel recently introduced a new series called Duck Quacks Don't Echo. On the first episode of this science/comedy show, host Michael Ian Black proposes the idea that a truck can be supported with a ceramic coffee mug under each wheel - yes, he says that the entire weight of a truck can be balanced on just four coffee mugs.
Looking to find out whether this is fact or myth, the show uses a regular cab Ford F-150, weighing in at 4,800 pounds, and four average coffee mugs. Lowered onto the mugs, the idea is quickly put to the test. Can the cups hold up under 4,800 pounds? If so, what, exactly, would it take to break them? Scroll down below to find out.

Meet Floyd Pullin, 102-year-old honorary president of Ford trucks [w/video]

Wed, 28 Aug 2013

When we talk about trucks we often talk about how loyal truck owners are; it's men like Floyd Pullin who provide the proof. The 102-year-old man from Confluence, Pennsylvania has only owned Ford products since the 1920s, and he's done so well by Ford Trucks that the division named him honorary president for a day, not long after he took delivery of his latest ride, a 2013 F-150 STX.
That's the 16th Ford he's owned. If he bought his first when he was 16, he'd have flipped into a new car or truck about every five years. For 86 years. Not a bad run of business for either side.
Ford Trucks made a video to wish Pullin a happy birthday, which was celebrated at his local Ford dealership and was visited by a Pennsylvania state senator. You can watch it below.
