1929 Ford Model A Sport Coupe
Very rare Sport model with cloth soft top

Very nice condition Model A Sport Coupe that has been very well cared for and driven with 102k original miles.  It is an older restoration done in the early nineties but has held up very nicely.
This car has only had 4 owners and is a very rare model with a cloth soft top. The most recent owner of 20 years bought the car from the president of the southern california model A club (at the time) who did the restoration, so you know it was done right!  This car has always been a CA car and has zero rust.

- It starts right up and drives and rides like new, needs nothing mechanically
- has the original flat head 4 cylinder and 3 speed manual transmission
- everything works on the car, needs nothing
- original rims in excellent condition, very minor nicks on a couple of them
- newer tires including spare
- has a very nice rumble seat

The paint is still in very nice condition, just look at the pics.  All of the chrome on the bumpers and headlights is excellent, the only area that needs to be re-chromed is the radiator cover, please look at the pics for details on that.  The interior was restored with all original materials and still looks like new, the only area that needs attention is one of the seams on the headliner has come undone, it is not a tear simply just stitching that has come undone and needs to be restitched.

This is a high quality driver that can be used in parades and can win at the local town car show!

Please let me know if you have any questions, thanks!

J Mays on the 2015 Ford Mustang

Thu, 05 Dec 2013

J Mays, head of design at Ford, may be retiring from the company after 16 years, but not before showing the world his swan song: the 2015 Mustang. Ford officially revealed its new coupe and convertible to the public at events around the world on Thursday, including a live unveiling on ABC's Good Morning America, and Mays was in attendance at the automaker's home event in Dearborn, MI, which is where we caught up with him for a few words about his new baby.
"It's a joy" to design the Mustang, Mays told Autoblog, adding that this sixth-generation coupe is his "favorite design so far." Of course, the 2015 model takes cues from all of the generations that came before it, but Mays said it was important to edit down the specific elements from previous models, leaving just enough off to let the customer "participate and fill in the blanks."
"If it doesn't sell itself, you probably aren't a Mustang fan."

Bill Ford wins National Pond Hockey Championship with employees

Tue, 11 Feb 2014

Who says executives aren't people? This past weekend, Bill Ford, executive chairman of Ford Motor Company, and a group of employees trekked up to Eagle River, WI for a few games of pond hockey. Team Ford took part in the 2014 Labatt Blue/USA Pond Hockey Championship, capturing its fifth title in the 50+ Tier 1 Division.
"It feels great to win," Ford, who plays on the team alongside other Ford employees, told the USA Hockey website. "It was fun to play [River Valley Pioneers] because they're great guys and we play them every year. We finally beat them, which we were due. It was a very clean game, a tough game."
The FoMoCo team managed to score seven goals to River Valley's two, and went undefeated in all five of its games during the tourney. Take a look below for the official press release on Team Ford's win.

NHTSA closes rollaway investigation into 1.56M Ford SUVs

Mon, 11 Mar 2013

It's taken four years of study, but the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has finally closed the books on its investigation into rollaway accusations surrounding 1.56-million Ford SUV models.
The probe, which centered on the 2002-2005 Ford Explorer, 2002-2005 Mercury Mountaineer and 2003-2005 Lincoln Aviator, ends without the federal agency calling for a recall. According to The Detroit News, the investigation was closed due to a "low number of complaints" - NHTSA documented 180 such complaints that resulted in 14 crashes and six minor injuries, but the number of incidents have been slowing. The suspected defect rate for the trucks' automatic transmissions was found to be 4.4 per 100,000 units, and the brake-shift interlock mechanism failure rate was judged to be even lower at 3.4 per 100k.
