1929 Ford Model A Phaeton
This is a survivor with a cool story behind it.

This 29 phaeton was purchased from a 88 yr old man back in 2004. He bought the car in 1953 and drove it home to his garage building where he parked the car inside. From there the car sat inside this building from 1953 until 2004 when my dad purchased it. The old man had began to tear the phaeton down with plans of restoring it but didn't get very far on it. The red paint that is on this car was on it in 53 when the old man bought it and the body on this car is very solid. The fenders and aprons were painted satin black. The only rust in this car is at the very back and it is hardly even worth mentioning it. I tried to snap a few pictures of it so you can see.

The chassis on this car has been boxed fully from front to back. It has a new super bell 4'' drop axle with a posies reversed eye spring. It has uni-steer rack and pinion steering. The rear of the car has a 9'' ford rear end from a 68 bronco with a triangulated 4-link setup and QA1 coilovers. It also has 6 brand new tires on it. Under the hood you will find a walker radiator and a 305 small block chevy with a 4 barrel carb backed by a 700r transmission. On the inside it has red and black rolled and pleated vinyl with a 23'' tall lokar floor shifter. It also has a ididit tilt steering column and a dolphin gauge setup. The car has a new top and side curtains but they could use some work for a better fit. This car runs and drives great and cruises out on interstate at 70+ with no problems while getting 20+ mpg. It has had a little over 1100 miles put on it since being completed. This car is all original henry ford steel and you will not find one that is more solid or has a better body.  I am sure we I have left out a few things but if you have any questions please call my dad at 828-217-0799 it is his car. We have a clean and clear NC title for the car in his name. This car is sold as is where is with no warranties written or implied.

Ford S-Max Concept proves minivans aren't always minivans [w/video]

Tue, 10 Sep 2013

Ford's latest don't-call-it-a-minivan is called the S-Max Concept, and it's a looker. As you can see, the conceptual overgrown hatch makes good use of Ford's latest design language, especially at the very front of the S-Max, which bears a striking resemblance to production models that include the Focus, C-Max and Fusion.
Powering the S-Max Concept is a 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine, and while Ford doesn't actually list power figures for the concept, previous estimates put the mill at 133 kW of power (about 178 horsepower) and 240 Nm of torque (about 177 pound-feet). Inside, there's room for seven passengers and at least some of their luggage.
As you'd expect, the S-Max is loaded up with all of Ford's latest infotainment technology, including Sync and MyFordTouch. More interestingly, there are also onboard heart and blood glucose monitors that we doubt will be seeing the light of production anytime soon. On that topic, don't expect to see any S-Max-shaped vehicles hitting the US market from Ford, either. Scroll down below for the press release, but not before checking out the high-res image gallery above.

Ford previews new C-Max ahead of upcoming debut

Mon, 15 Sep 2014

Looking at a Ford Focus? These days you can get it as a five-door hatch, a four-door sedan, or... that's all. European buyers don't even get our sedan, but they do get a wagon. And while the three-door hatch, two-door coupe and two-door cabrio have long since ended production, buyers around the world can also get the company's larger C-Max. And now, like the Focus upon which it's based, Ford is preparing to roll out a new version.
The tall wagon (or small minivan, depending on your perspective) is being treated to what Ford says is "an extreme makeover." Details to accompany the teaser image above remain few and far between, but following the spy shots we recently posted, it looks destined for some of the same visual updates as Ford rolled out on the 2015 Focus, with "even more refinement, practicality and technology."
Like the Mercedes B-Class, which is only available Stateside as an EV, American buyers can only get the C-Max in electrified form, either as the C-Max Hybrid or C-Max Energi. Overseas buyers, however, will be able to choose from a range of powertrain options and two wheelbase lengths - the longer of which boasts seven seats and the Grand C-Max name. (Remember when Chrysler did the same with its minivans?) Both are set to debut on September 17, so watch this space. After that, we'll expect to see it on display at the Paris Motor Show.

Ford cuts 950 Russian jobs on weak demand

Thu, 03 Apr 2014

The Russian auto market, in decline for the past year and further hit by the declining value of the ruble and recent sanctions over its annexation of Crimea, has forced Ford to cut jobs and shifts at two of its joint venture plants there. Around 700 of the 2,700 total workers who build the Russian-market Focus and Mondeo will be cut at the plant in Vsevolozhsk, near St. Petersburg as it drops to a single production shift. A second plant about 700 miles away in Yelabuga, in the Tartarstan region, will lose 250 workers. That plant builds seven vehicles, including the Explorer, Kuga and Edge.
The Moscow Times says Ford has been especially hit by the market decline, the overall market losing 5.5 percent in 2013 compared to the year before, but Ford sales dropping 18 percent in 2013 year-on-year. This year isn't going any better, with The Blue Oval posting a 21-percent decline through the first two months of 2014. That's why, though the Yelabuga plant builds the CUVs that customers are moving into, even it is facing cuts.
The job cuts in Vsevolozhsk come on top four-week plant shutdown planned so that the paint and body shops can go to one shift. In a statement, the company said, "Ford Sollers remains absolutely committed to the Russian market and is confident it has the right product plan, people and assets to deliver long-term profitable growth."
