Restored 1929 Briggs Town Sedan - Standard. Original all steel body and fenders - no rust. Chassis is restored and highly detailed. Interior is spotless. Body - despite some chips and scratches in the paint is solid. Black fenders and aprons are in great condition. Chrome is in great condition. Engine and drive train have been restored and the car runs and brakes without issue. No overheating. Top does not leak. Lights all work. Short of the body paint this vehicle would be in show car form. It has been restored to factory conditions and to what a Model A should look like - simple.
In additon to the restoration - new plugs, points, cap, condenser, carburetor, shocks have been installed. The wheels have been powder coated to the original black. Five new Firestone black-wall tires, tubes and liners have also been installed. A new unpainted hood and rear fender, repair and owners manuals and some misc. parts are included in the sale. This is a very well sorted car and it's being offered at a bargain price vs what has been spent on it. TO BID YOU MUST BE OVER 18 and pay with a money order, cashiers check or wire transfer. Ford picks Fiesta ST, Transit Connect as this year's SEMA darlings
Sat, 02 Feb 2013SEMA is more than nine months away, but the reveille bugle for the show has just sounded with Ford's call to aftermarket companies for its project-vehicle program. The 2014 Ford Fiesta ST and 2014 Transit Connect van and wagon are the cars The Blue Oval wants to feature, but applicants can submit project vehicles for any product except the GT500, the Raptor, or anything from Lincoln.
Submissions must be completed in two parts, the first being an email to Ford with an overview of the project, like vehicle theme, promotional plan and location display. The second part must be mailed in on company letterhead and gets down to the nuts and bolts of the vision and the provision of company bona fides. The complete proposal is due on March 1, winners will be notified by May 1. A closer look at the 2015 Ford F-150
Thu, 16 Jan 2014Despite having to share Ford's Detroit Auto Show stand with the hot new 2015 Mustang, the brand-new F-150 was arguably an even more important debut. Why? Ford moved some 700,000 examples of its F-Series truck in 2012, making it not only the best-selling pickup truck, but the top-selling vehicle in the US, by a long-shot.
The 2015 F-150 raises the bar for pickup trucks in a big way, with big-time use of aluminum. Because of this, roughly 700 pounds have been removed from the truck's overall weight, making it even more efficient than before, while still offering all of the capability that pickup owners expect. And with a host of engines under the hood, including a new 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6, the 2015 F-150 will surely offer something for everyone.
During the Detroit Auto Show, west coast editor Michael Harley took a closer look at the new F-150, talking to some of the truck's engineers. Have a look at the full video, below.
