BRIEF DISCRIPTION: For your consideration I have a  very nice DRIVER QUALITY 1928 Model A Roadster that is all steel. 1928 was the first year for the Model A and I love them. This is a real nice car, but its no perfect 100 point roll out of the trailer show queen. It looks good, runs good and most everything works. I put lots of new stuff on including, new wide white Firestone tires, new top and new stainless steel front bumper and more. Its just a nice car that I will not take less that $19,999 for. The more perfect Roadsters start out for around $35,000 and go up. If you want just a nice car for fun, this may be it, if you want perfect get ready to pay more.

................................................................................................................................................................................

The following information is long and boring unless you want to buy the car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WHO YOU ARE BUYING FROM:  My name is Ron Watson and I live in the small town of Athens, TennesseeAthens is called the friendly city”. We are located in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in east Tennessee. I am 67 years old and work with my son Keith who is now 42. I am now retired and living my dream restoring, selling and improving classic cars. For 12 years I was an auto mechanics instructor at Tennessee Technology Center here in Athens. I am also a veteran of the US Army; I served as a Chinook helicopter mechanic, crew chief and instructor in the late 60s, I did spend a year in Vietnam.  I’m Southern Baptist faith and proud to be an American.  I’ve been married to the same good woman for almost 43 years. LIFE IS GOOD IN THE GREEN HILLS OF EAST TENNESSEE!

I NOT SHOW CARS ON SUNDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!    Sorry, but 67 years old and work 6 days a week, I need a day to worship, spend time with family and rest my body and mind. I do answer my emails 2 or 3 times, I usually don't answer my cell phone. Life is more than just old cars!

DO I HAVE TO BUY THROUGH EBAY MOTORS?  I will sell the car direct, " I will sell direct". I know a lot of you guys just use ebay as a research tool and do not like the internet or have pay pal account. Come look and judge the car for your self or call and make a deal!

PLEASE, NO TRADES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I do not want to do any trading for anything, thank you.

THERE ANY ACCIDENT DAMAGE?  None that I can find.

WHY AM I SELLING THIS CAR?     I’m a 67 year old retired mechanic/classic car restorer/auto mechanics intructor, when I find a car I like, can sell for a fair market price and make a few bucks, I buy it fix a few things and resell.

PAINT:     The paint would be considered very nice driver quality, the shine is brilliant, no rust bubbles, no dents. You will see some specs in the paint if you look with a critical eye and some minor defects, but its good looking paint. We did buff and polish the car to make it look fresh.

CHROME AND BRIGHTWORK:       I put a new stainless steel front bumper on, new gas cap, new grab handles, new step, the rear bumper shines good, but has some pits, the grill shell is very decent, but has some dulling around the radiator cap, the headlight chrome shines good, but has some pits. I was going to put a new radiator cap on and the bottom part was on so tight I just left it, the top part opens good to check the coolant.

INTERIOR:    The interior is pretty good, no real wear, the bottom front seat springs are pushing the material on the corner of the passengers side. I put a new floor mat in.

DOES THE CAR HAVE ANY BODY-FILLER? Yes, it over 80 years old, no cracks or bubbles, no swelled places, but if you do the magnet test, it is weak in some low places.

GLASS:   The glass is in good condition.

ENGINE:    The engine is a sweet running 4 cylinder flathead, its a good engine with no knocks other than Model A sounds. We cleaned the carburetor and put a new set of plug in.

The car has been converted to a 12 volt system with a alternator, this is a good thing in my opinion.

EXHAUST SYSTEM:  The exhaust is new from the manifold back.

TRANSMISSION:

3 speed manual transmission, it shift good to me, these were not simonized gearing, so don't expect to do any speed shifting.

REAR-END:    Its good with no whines or growls other than normal Model A sounds.

BRAKES:  Good for mechanical brakes, but you have to give it some heavy foot.

STEERING:  The car drives like most old Model A Fords, it not impressive after driving modern cars, its 1928 steering.

WHEELS AND TIRES:   Original 21 inch wheels, the 4 on the ground are new wide-shite Firestones with new tubes and liners.

LIGHTS:     Headlights and tail light work, as well as the stop light. The old switch has been replaced with a push/pull switch.

Ahooga horn is working, but on a push button switch on the dash.

HOW IS THE TOP? New.

HOW IS THE RUNNING BOARD RUBBER? They are nice with no holes or cracking, but not new.

HOW DO THE DOORS AND HOOD OPEN AND CLOSE?    I think they open and close good for a Model A.

TRADES: Please no trades, they never work out and are just to hard!

CONTACT INFO: my cell is 423-506-8987, I do not answer when driving, while meeting with people, after about 8:00 PM Eastern Time or on Sunday morning or Sunday nights. Please leave a voice mail and I’ll get back. I do check my emails several times a day.

     cell    423-506-8987     email:  dreamcar@live.com

PAPERWORK: I know what to do! We are just a father/son 2 man operation, but we are a Tennessee licensed/bonded car dealer and have sold cars all over the US and exported many.

I RESERVE TH RIGHT TO STOP THE LISTING AT ANY TIME. THE CAR IS FOR SALE ON THE LOCAL MARKET.

WHERE THE CAR IS LOCATED:  The car is here at my home in Athens, Tennessee. Athens is in east Tennessee, we are 50 miles south of  Knoxville. Look at a Road Atlas and follow interstate 75 south from Knoxville. I live one mile and one turn from the interstate exit. My zip code is 37303. The closest large airport is Knoxville. Athens does have a good small airport, but has no commercial flights.

WHO YOU ARE BUYING FROM:  My name is Ron Watson and I live in the small town of Athens, TennesseeAthens is called the friendly city”. We are located in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in east Tennessee. I am 67 years old and work with my son Keith who is now 41. I am now retired and living my dream restoring, selling and improving classic cars. For 12 years I was an auto mechanics instructor at Tennessee Technology Center here in Athens. LIFE IS GOOD IN THE GREEN HILLS OF EAST TENNESSEE!

MY AREA CODE FOR TRANSPORT: The area code for Athens, Tennessee is 37303. I live 1 mile off a major interstate (I-75) and 35 miles south of interstate 40,  so transport is usually very fast.

PAYMENT: I require a $250 deposit for a Buy Now or to hold the car, this can be by PayPal, but I will not take full payment by PayPal.

Option 1: Pay the old school way face to face.

Option 2: Pay by check, I will wait till the check clears, I have had

                          a fake bank certified check.

Option 3: The safest and fastest is to let our banks handle it, my bank is a

member of the US Federal Reserve, this is called wire

                           transfer.

INSPECTIONS: Please come look and be happy. All inspections are required to be done before the end of the listing. I listed this car as I see it as a 64 year old car restorer, please come and judge it for your self. I judge the car to my standards, this may not be yours. Paid inspectors are welcome, but they can make a good car sound bad on the report. They have to be very critical to cover their back sides. I understand how hard it is to buy a car without looking, but I think you should come look yourself.  I don’t like paid inspectors, I like for the person that is buying to inspect for themselves. I think its fine to send a friend to inspect for you. To make it clear, don’t hit the buy now button and then inspect, come inspect first!

TRADES: Please no trades!

BOTTOM LINE:    My real price is $20,000 and I'm asking $21,500 on the local market, if you hit the buy now the price is $20,400, come look. The game is not rocket science, ask a price on the local markety and come down. It’s not fun to bargain over the cell phone all day long with people that live 2000 miles away and are not going to buy anyway. I have sold every car I have ever tried to, so I’m not motivated to be bargained down.

PLEASE!!!!!!   PLEASE!!!!! PLEASE!!!!! Come look at this vehicle.

Please don’t hit the Buy Now button unless your ready to really buy it!

Do your research, call me with questions, read my feed backs, I am ebay verified; this means they say I’m a real person in a real place.

I WILL BE VERY HAPPY TO SELL YOU THE VEHICLE WITH-OUT AN INSPECTION; YOU JUST HAVE TO HAVE A LOT OF NERVE AND PLEASE DON’T BE A CRY BABY.

Read the ME section on the upper right hand part of the listing marked seller info.

Thank You,

China's auto sales continue to drop

Sat, Sep 12 2015

The days of unending growth of carmakers in China look to be over, and some analysts are even forecasting a net drop in volume this year, The Detroit News reports. After falling numbers in June and July, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers tallied total sales, including trucks and buses, in August to 1.7 million, down 3 percent from 2014. There were some tiny specs of good news in China, but there's no turnaround in sight. Total vehicle sales from January to August are actually still up but only 2.6 percent. Like the rest of the world, SUVs are booming with numbers up 45.6 percent from the previous year. Honda managed a very impressive 50.7 percent gain on the strength of the CR-V and Vezel (the HR-V here), according to The Detroit News. Also, the country's domestic automakers, which generally offer less expensive products, posted a 2.5 percent growth in sales. The news continues to look bad for Detroit's automakers, though. Volume from General Motors dropped 4.8 percent in August, and Ford fell 3 percent in August. Both of them have invested significant amounts there in the past years. The vehicle industry in China grew last year, but there was burgeoning evidence of weakness. At the end of 2014, dealers there pushed back against huge inventories pushed by automakers. Even before the big drops began in June, GM saw the writing on the wall and started cutting prices. BMW responded to the slump by cutting back production to deal with the changing demand. 2015 Ford F-150 pricing announced, aluminum-bodied truck up just $395

Mon, 28 Jul 2014

The eagerly anticipated Ford F-150 has had its 2015 pricing announced, adding only a small amount to the pickup's total cost, despite its weight-saving aluminum body. The XL and XLT entry level models only see a $395 boost over the heavier, current-generation, 2014 truck.
The XL starts at $26,615 while the XLT rings up at $31,890. The increase for Lariat is up a similarly negligible $895, to $39,880. Going up the ladder, meanwhile, the leather-intensive King Ranch sees the biggest jump of the F-150 family, with prices increasing $3,515, to $49,460. Finally, picking up the top-end Platinum trim will cost an extra $3,055, with prices starting at $52,155.
The higher prices are being blamed not only on the aluminum bodies, which trim up to 700 pounds of body fat, but on increased levels of standard equipment. While we were expecting a price hike, the fact that the 2015 F-150's volume trims - Ford spokesman Mike Levine told Reuters that the XL and XLT alone cover 70 percent of F-150 sales - have had less than a $400 increase is hugely impressive.
