1928 Ford Model A Phaeton! Fully Restored from an Estate Sale!
I am listing this Model A for a friend. Here is a 1928 Model A Phaeton, fully restored, all steel Georgia car. It was recently purchased from an estate sale. The car has new paint, upholstery, top, chrome, rebuilt drivetrain. There is a set of side curtains in the trunk. The car has been in indoor storage for a number of years and has never been offered for sale. It starts right up, runs smoothly and drives very tight. We took it out a few weeks ago to the local "Cruise In" with no issues whatsoever. There are a lot of spare parts that go with the sale, so bring a trailer with you! There is a spare crankcase, heads, carburetors, wheels, brakes, shifter assembly plus lots more. Auction Rules: Please, if you are new to eBay, have fewer than 10 feedbacks or multiple negative feedbacks, contact me prior to bidding! I do not want to have to cancel anyone's bid! I have been listing and selling items for friends on eBay for a while now, and I realize that I put my eBay reputation on the line everytime I list an item. Therefore, I will not list any item that I deem unfit for use or consumption, anything that is underhanded or shady in any way, or anything that is questionable in any manner. The items listed are as I describe them or you can walk away! That said, all items listed are sold "as is, where is" with no warranty, expressed or implied. If there is an existing manufactures' or extended warranty on the listed item, it will be your responsibility to transfer said warranty into your name, along with any cost involved. You, or your agent, are encouraged to inspect any listed item prior to bidding with an appointment. Please do all research and ask all questions prior to bidding. Your bid is your contract to purchase the items listed and will be treated as such. Due to all of the scamming going on lately, all listings will be in a private format to protect the buyers identity. All sales are final. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. I will be glad to assist in shipping, or even arrange for it for you, at your expense. If an issue or situation should arise during the final transaction, every attempt will be made to satisfy the concern. Once the sale is consummated, the listed item belongs to you as it's new rightful owner. Should any legal disputes arise, they are to be settled in my County of residence. I do not want to appear to be non-caring, but in todays litigation climate, I want to make sure what type of transaction you are entering into. If you cannot accept these terms, please do not bid. I appreciate your understanding. As always, thanks for looking and Happy Bidding!! |

Next Ford Raptor spotted wearing aluminum skin
Wed, 07 May 2014Well, look at what we have here. Judging from these spy shots, Ford is indeed working on the next generation of its off-road-ready F-150 Raptor pickup truck. We've made no attempt to hide our appreciation for the Baja-style truck, which combines most of the usability of a fullsize truck with heavy-duty suspension components to make a kind of performance vehicle that is unique in the market.
What we haven't known, until now, is whether Ford would push forward with its Raptor program now that it has a completely new F-150 to serve as its base. And that's especially true since Ford made the bold move of switching the bodywork of its best-seller from tried-and-true steel to aluminum. As you can see above, the front and rear of this silver truck are clad in current-gen Raptor bodywork, while the center section that houses the occupants appears to come from the upcoming 2015 F-150.
Dissecting the views above, we note a few interesting tidbits. First, there looks to be a bulge in the truck's hood. Second, we see a new grille between the current Raptor's headlights, sporting a mesh finish and two horizontal bars. Lastly, our eyes can't help but lock in on those burly A-arm suspension pieces down below, not to mention all that ground clearance the specialty suspenders bring to the table.
1979 Dodge Li'l Red Express in Generation Gap showdown with 1933 Ford Pickup
Fri, 18 Jul 2014Auto enthusiasts love a good debate, whether it's Mustang versus Camaro or Ferrari against Lamborghini. But how about a battle between two very different vintages of classic pickup trucks? In this case, the fight is between a 1979 Dodge Li'l Red Express and a 1933 Ford Model 46 truck with a flathead V8.
The shootout comes courtesy of the internet series Generation Gap, and its concept is super-simple. One guy prefers classics, and the other likes newer rides. They choose a category, pick two vehicles and put them head to head. In this case, neither is exactly modern, though. The Ford is more than old enough to receive Social Security checks, and the Dodge is hardly a young whippersnapper.
Other than both being pickups, these two models were made to serve very different functions. The Li'l Red Express was basically the progenitor of today's muscle trucks, with a big V8 that made it one of the quickest new models in its day (admittedly, 1979 was a rough time for automotive performance). On the other hand, the '33 Ford was just meant to work, with little pretense for anything else. One of the hosts describes it as "the simplest, most difficult" vehicle he's driven because of the tricky double clutchwork necessary to shift gears. Scroll down to watch the video and try to decide which of these two American classics you would rather have in your garage.
Ford Explorer gets appearance pack for 2015
Sat, 14 Jun 2014Remember when Ford launched the totally new Explorer in late 2010, and people were skeptical about how the now-crossover would fare, after ditching its traditional SUV roots? Well, we're several years in, and I think we can assuredly say that Ford made the right decision. Sales are better than ever (in fact, May was the current Explorer's best month yet), and the crossover is finding its way into the hands of a whole host of new Ford buyers.
A wholly refreshed Explorer is still forthcoming, but to keep its strong-selling crossover fresh, Ford is offering a host of improvements for the 2015 model year, including the attractive appearance package available on the XLT trim level, pictured above. Outside, the pack gets you goodies like 20-inch machined aluminum wheels, black bodyside cladding and roof rack rails. Contrasting Magnetic Metallic accents are found on the grille, mirror caps and liftgate appliqué, and there's an "Explorer" hood badge and body-colored door handles. Inside, there are new Miko suede inserts in the seats, and the package includes the automaker's Sync connectivity with MyFord Touch infotainment.
Elsewhere in the Explorer range, the Class III trailer tow pack is now standard on the Sport, base models get new 18-inch aluminum wheels, and there are three new colors on offer: Bronze Fire Metallic and Magnetic Metallic.
