UP FOR SALE IS AN ALL HENRY STEEL 1928 FORD MODEL A SPECIAL COUPE,ORIGINALY STREET RODDED BACK IN THE 1960s. THEN IN THE EARLY 1990s WAS UPDATED WITH A TCI FRAME, VEGA STEERING BOX, DROP AXLE, DISC BRAKES IN FRONT, CHEVY SMALL BLOCK AND A FORD 9" POSI. WITH 3.25 GEARS. IN 2011 IT GOT A NEW CHEVY 350 CRATE MOTOR ,STOCK EXCEPT FOR A VINTAGE TORKER INTAKE AND EDELBROCK CARB. THE TRANS WAS REBUILT , NEW DRIVE SHAFT, ALL NEW KWIK WIRE WIRE HARNESS, NEW RADIATOR,GM TILT COLUMN, NEW 32 DASH WITH A FULL SET OF AUTO GAGE GAUGES AND A NEW SET OF 15" WIRE WHEELS FROM WHEELS VINTIQUE WITH BFG TIRES. ALL WITH ABOUT 1,000 MILES ON IT SINCE THIS WORK WAS DONE. THE BODY IS VERY STRAIGHT WITH NO RUST AND NO PATCH PANELS. THE RED OXIDE PRIMER IS FROM THE 60s AND HAS A GREAT PATINA. USPS releases hot rod stamps to speed up your delivery

After one of the worst winters in recent memory for much of the country, summer is finally here. It's time to drop the top, open the sunroof or at least put down the windows and take a long drive. The United States Postal Service is celebrating the season's sun in automotive style with two new hot rod Forever stamps.
Both stamps depict classic '32 Ford hot rods. One shows the car from the front at a low angle in red (pictured above), while the other depicts the car from the back in black with flames running down the side.
To introduce the new stamps on their first day of availability, the USPS went straight to the source at the National Street Rod Association Street Rod Nationals in York, PA. They were unveiled by Postmaster General Patrick Donahoe, Car Crazy host Barry Meguiar and NSRA Special Events Director Jerry Kennedy.

Ford wins second consecutive Engine of the Year with 1.0L EcoBoost [UPDATE]

For the second year in a row, Ford has taken top honors in International Engine of the Year voting. As was the case last year, it is Ford's 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine that earns the automaker the accolade, achieving the highest-ever accumulated score in the 15 years that the award has been handed out.
A panel of 87 automotive journalists from 35 countries are responsible for choosing the world's best engines, and this is only the third time an automaker has managed back-to-back victories. Voters were impressed by the "Baby EcoBoost" engine's power output - 123 horsepower between 1,400 and 4,500 rpm, 148 pound-feet of torque from 1,400 to 4,000 rpm - and its compact size; Ford has demonstrated that the package is small enough to fit in the overhead bin of a passenger airplane.
Currently, the 1.0-liter EcoBoost is offered in the European Fiesta, B-MAX, Focus, C-MAX and Grand C-MAX, and Ford plans to put the engine in the Transit Connect, Transit Courier, Tourneo Connect, Tourneo Courier, Mondeo and EcoSport in short order. In North America, the Fiesta will be the first vehicle to offer the 1.0L EcoBoost later this year.
