2 Owner vehicle, father owner to daughter owner. No exposure to elements for the last 30 years. Always kept in garage during inclement weather. Motor chrome with Edelbrock high rise and Holley 650 carburetor. The passenger side window does need to be replaced. New center-line wheels with Viper TR Radial Gt tires. Soft top of convertible is in good condition. Body of car is in good condition with Jade Black color paint. The paint has noticeable scratches in places, as seen in pictures but overall in good condition. The interior is original (gold in color) and does need some repair in the front seat only. There is also one crack in the dash as shown in picture that does not detract from the beauty of this classic car. There are approximately 109,000 original miles on this vehicle. Fitting Retirement: Grand Marquis last Mercury off the line
Wed, 05 Jan 2011The signs have come down and retail production ended back in October of 2010. Now, the very last Mercury model has rolled off the assembly line. This last Mercury somewhat fittingly takes the form of a Grand Marquis reporting for fleet duty. It was built at the St. Thomas plant in Ontario, Canada, which is the same facility that continues to produce the Ford Crown Victoria and Lincoln Town Car for fleet and livery duty.
St. Thomas' days are numbered, however, as the factory is slated to close on August 31. When it goes, the Panther platform is likely to follow. So long, and thanks for all the fish memories.

Ford Everest Concept shows China also has an affinity for big trucks
Mon, 21 Apr 2014The Ford Everest Concept SUV at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show shows the future of the Blue Oval's truck line in China. While a concept for now, we're told that JMC, Ford's Chinese joint-venture partner, will build a production version sometime in the near future.
With design from Ford's Asia Pacific design team, the handsome seven-passenger SUV shows off some very muscular styling with wraparound headlights that hook into the contours of the angular trapezoidal grille. The beltline rises up the body in the rear and makes the back appear higher than the front. The rear is made from hard, chiseled contours that give the truck a very tough look. The Everest looks ready for some rough roads.
Ford is keeping the interior and mechanical details about the Everest a secret for now, but the SUV is rumored to share some components with the overseas Ranger pickup. The company has no plans to sell the truck in North America. Scroll down to read the official announcement, including the few details on its production.
