1968 Ford Galaxy Convertable. This is an estate car. The previous owner started a frame up restoration that he could not finish. The frame was taken off, painted, new complete suspension shocks, springs, balljoints bushing etc. Brakes and wheel cylinders were replaced. The body is in pretty decent shape, the car was stored inside for many years, The rear Quarter panels have a little rust, very fixable the rest of the body is very solid. The convertable top was replaced years back and is in decent shape and it works good. The motor and transmission is out of the car, it is the original 302 automatic and was running when it was removed. The interior is fair, it need carpet, the front seat could use to be recovered, the back seat is nice, the door panels are good, the dash is nice, the dash pad has a small crack where the speaker is. The car is an original AC car, all the parts are there for the AC. Most of the parts are there, i have the bumpers, front bumper has damage, the rear needs recromed. The only things i see the car is missing is one of the rocker molding, the gas tank, and the radiator. There are some extras with the car, tail light, molding, etc. This is a project that can be a very nice ride when done. This car has a low reserve so bid to own. If you do not have any feedback please email me before bidding.

Michigan museum offers Model T driving classes
Sun, 29 Dec 2013Halfway between Detroit and Chicago, there is a car museum that gives visitors a unique level of interaction with antique cars. The Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners, MI has a driver's training class to teach people of any age to learn how to drive a Ford Model T.
From the crank starter to the column-mounted throttle control, this driving school teaches people all there is to know about driving and operating a Model T. Each class lasts about two and a half hours and is only open to 18 students. There are ten sessions planned for 2014 - twice a day on May 3, June 22, July 22, August 23 and September 14. The class costs $95 (or $85 for members), and it also includes a tour of the museum's automobile collection.
In addition to this driving school, the museum has plenty of exhibits on the property, and it's open all but three days per year (Easter, Christmas and New Year's Day) with free admission for school field trips and active military. Be sure to check out the Gilmore Car Museum's website or visit them on Facebook for more info.
Reflecting on the Ford GT on its 10-year anniversary
Thu, 10 Apr 2014Ten years ago, during the bright-eyed enthusiasm of the early 2000s and before the collective automotive industry did its best Titanic impression, we had the Ford GT. An everyman's supercar like there'd never been (remember, this was before 638-horsepower Corvettes were a thing), the GT arrived with a supercharged, 5.4-liter V8 that produced 550 horsepower and graced this retro-styled rocket with an easy, sub-four-second sprint to 60 miles per hour.
Equal to the GT's performance were its looks. Inspired by the GT40 racers that dominated Le Mans and bested Ferrari in the 1960s, the sleek, low, almost-reptilian look of the GT was the absolute pinnacle of the retro styling that so defined the early 2000s.
Crank and Piston put together a video celebrating the ten-year-old GT, arguing that Ford is a bit too busy with the next-gen Mustang, which turns 50 next week, to do it themselves. In the short clip, there is gratuitous engine noise and supercharger whine, not to mention scenes of the white-on-red GT prowling the deserts and streets of Dubai. It's a bit short, but very nicely shot. Scroll down, have a look and be sure to turn up those speakers before getting started.
