The vehicle is a true barn find. This 1965 Ford Galaxie 500 convertible sports a manual transmission with three on the tree. It is a 48 year old vehicle pretty much unmolested. The only items that were changed would be the rims on the car and the radio. The Rims are a turbine style wheel. The previous owner installed a cassette player in place of the radio.
The vehicle and it's 289 CI V8 engine starts, runs, drives and tracks down the road very nice. The three speed operates cleanly with no grinding as the clutch is tight and sound. The motor does not smoke or sputter.
The car sports blue paint which is somewhat faded but it is drivable in this condition. It appears that the vehicle has had one repaint from the original white. There is minor surface rust on the vehicle's body but absolutely NO RUST THROUGH.
All chrome with the exception of the rocker chrome is in place and in pretty nice condition. This could use a good cleaning and buffing.
All windows operate as designed with the glass being in excellent condition. The doors, deck lid and hood open and close tight with proper reveals. Weather-stripping on the doors needs replaced.
The convertible top is electronic and operates flawlessly storing neatly with a boot to cover the storage area. The top could use some repairs on the seams as the stitching has come undone in two spots. The top is very salvageable. The back glass in the convertible top is PPG labeled and is excellent.
The electronic on the vehicle work including the interior lighting, as does the heat and defrost. The interior is in good condition with black leather seating. Again, one of the seam stitching has come undone but the leather is in great condition and pliable and can be easily repaired.
The black carpeting needs a good cleaning and maybe a re-dye. There are cracks in the dash and the steering wheel and is showing its age. The dash may need replaced but the steering wheel is definitely useable. All knobs and handles are in place and original.
The floor boards are solid as is the frame and trunk pan. The trunk pan does have surface rust. There is some rust through at the panel along the lip of the trunk pan. All locks on the vehicle operate with no issues. This is a great vehicle to tool around in with the top down. And if you chose to restore the car it won't take long as overall the car is in great condition.
I have posted this car for a family member. It is not owned by me. This car has a clear Pennsylvania title.
I have detailed the car as I see it and attempted to describe it with its attributes and flaws. Please stop by and see this car in person.
Thanks for looking and happy bidding!

Editors' Picks February 2021 | Ford F-150, Genesis GV80, Mazda CX-30 and more
Wed, Mar 10 2021If we’ve driven and reviewed it, thereÂ’s an Autoblog Rating for it. ItÂ’s been over two years since we launched a new rating system to help you evaluate cars at a glance. We tweaked and improved it along the way and quickly arrived at a consistent process for giving each and every car on sale today a fair score. Cars that are exemplary or stand out in their respective segments get EditorsÂ’ Pick status. Those are the ones weÂ’d recommend to our friends, family and anybody whoÂ’s curious and asks the question. Every car we rate gets a score from 1 to 10, making it easy for you to tell if itÂ’s a car worth pursuing and possibly purchasing. YouÂ’ll find the scores of previously-rated cars attached toward the top of our written reviews. For example, the Bronco SportÂ’s rating can be found here. The Acura TLXÂ’s rating is in this post, and the Nissan RogueÂ’s rating is right here. There are hundreds of examples to be found. The above examples make up the most natural ways to find the Autoblog rating when researching for your next car, but starting today, weÂ’re going to begin calling out each new set of Editors' Picks per month in their own breakout stories. This will put the newest and most recently refreshed cars on sale on a pedestal for you to see which ones are worth your while. WeÂ’ll typically rate anywhere between 5-10 new cars per month, so you can count on just a select few from those to make this list. Expect to see this recurring ratings post each month going forward, and read on for FebruaryÂ’s EditorsÂ’ Picks.  2021 Genesis GV80 2021 Genesis GV80 View 18 Photos Quick take: The stylish GV80 offers useful safety features, compelling design and sporty dynamics to push it near the top of the segment. Genesis takes risks with this aggressive crossover, and the result is a luxurious vehicle that is rewarding to drive. Score: 8.5 What it competes with: Lincoln Aviator, Volvo XC90, BMW X5, Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class, Acura MDX, Lexus RX Pros: Beautiful design, good road manners, awesome value Cons: Small third row and cargo space, less comfortable standard suspension From the editors: Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore — “The GV80 is a hugely important vehicle for Genesis. It makes a style statement, has an elegant interior and is a compelling all-round execution. It looks like a Bentley, and I give Genesis props for taking some risks with the GV80 and largely pulling it all off.

Ford's Mulally makes shortlist for Microsoft CEO
Fri, 08 Nov 2013Ford CEO Alan Mulally has made the short list to take over tech giant Microsoft, lending further credence to rumors that the 68-year-old former Boeing exec would ditch Dearborn and move to Redmond.
The report comes from Reuters, which claims that alongside Mulally, former Nokia CEO Stephen Elop and three candidates from within Microsoft are on the short list to succeed Steve Ballmer at the company's helm, although previous reports claim the Ford exec is the number one candidate. Mulally is currently working without a contract, although Bill Ford seems to believe that he isn't likely to depart. Despite this belief, Ford was quoted just last month talking about the depth of talent on the Blue Oval's executive team.
"There is no change from what we announced last November. Alan remains fully focused on continuing to make progress on our One Ford plan. We do not engage in speculation," said Ford spokesman Jay Cooney.
