1964 Galaxie 500 Hard Top 352 Fe Auto Four Barrel Solid Original Car Show Ready on 2040-cars
McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania, United States
What you are looking at would be considered a survivor,
original, lightly cleaned up or preserved car.
This stunning 1964 Galaxie has had the black paint redone and some other
things cleaned up. But it hasn’t been
restored. It runs, shifts, drives and
acts like a new car. If you can
remember riding in a new 64 Galaxie, this would be really darn close. Just closing the doors, hood and trunk on
this car feels right. Everything works
as it should. Driving to a show today I
decided to try the cigarette lighter and that even worked! This car gets as much positive attention as
my 390 Tripower car. I have stock cars,
powerful cars, even a nitrous breathing Mustang. This 64 Galaxie for sale is a factory 352 4V
car. It’s not a race car…it’s even
better. There is something so nice about
getting behind the wheel of this car.
The motor is snappy. It runs so
smooth, powerful and so easy. This car
is a cruiser. My other 64 is a 390
stroker, aluminum headed 5 speed trip car.
It’s desirable, it’s fast, it’s fun.
I will tell you that driving this black 352 64 is even better. It’s calming, pleasant, and a blast. Something about pulling up to the light with
just some sweet sounding pipes, its low profile and great looks is even better
than being in my cammed up beast cars.
This car takes the cake for cruising.
You can load up the family and hit the local show to get a trophy. It’s that kind of reliable drive anyplace
car. Tap the key and this lively 352 FE
will snap to life. Put it into gear and
she shifts perfectly like it should. It’s
smooth and will put a smile on your face when you hear those big heads
breathing through the factory H pipe into a set of Magnaflow glass packs. When we did the heads and looked in the cylinders there were
still honing marks from the factory.
This car has no exhaust leaks, no oil leaks, doesn’t use or burn oil,
all around perfect running 352 that sits around 175-190*. Today I went for a ride, its 90* out. When I came back to check the temp, we were
sitting at 188* on the coolant.
Impressive! Why am I selling
it? It’s painful to actually consider
letting her go. However I was able to
line up one of my favorite cars and my first car. A 1960 9 passenger County Sedan. I need the money and space to do the
wagon. So this sweet 64 needs to
go. Also I need to give my wife’s
Mustang a bit more attention as well. Below and in all the pictures I am going to highlight what
should be important to anyone who is buying a classic. I have done many cars and even sold a
handful. 100% of the feedback has been
along the lines of people telling me I described the car perfectly or that the
car is nicer than I described. I kind of
like to under promise and over deliver.
I am not fast eddy the used car salesman. I am just a guy who is addicted to what we
call the classic car hobby. I live,
breath and love old cars. Save the hobby
and the cars is what I do. Please see
the good, the not perfect and the beauty of this 64 Galaxie 500. This car was built 10.31.1963 (yes, Halloween) I have the original manual with the original owner’s info
from the dealer where the car was purchased new. It even came with a woman’s guide to good
driving (I’m not being sexist, it was there along with the manual J) The paint on the roof is 100% original; most of the black
has been redone. The black paint isn’t
perfect but sure does shine. There are still the "Paint OK" stamps under the hood. Clearly these fenders have never been off! The interior has a small spot that needs fixed on the top of
the seat. I was going to have the front
seat redone but it would be a crime to touch the original seats for just one
spot. Everything works as it should. Lights, lighter, wipers, signals, reverse
lights, heater, AM radio works and the horn works. Actually the only thing that doesn’t work
perfectly is the fuel gauge. I will get
in and fix it – it’s a common problem in the sending unit. I bet I have a new sending unit on the shelf. New parts just installed in the past 500 miles: Idler arm bushing Tuned Edelbrock 600 CFM 4 barrel Hipo style air cleaner (you get the stock one too but it
isn’t good for flow at all) Fresh C4AE-6090-G heads.
These heads freaking flow! New intake and exhaust gaskets 160* thermostat (huge decrease in temp that makes all FE
motors happy) Brad Penn Synthetic high Zinc 10/40 oil Exhaust manifolds have been high temp powder coated factory
cast color Valve covers have been powder coated factory 64 352 Old Ford
Blue (looks brand new and way better than paint) Fan shield powder coated correct black New caution and 352 stickers. (I did put 352 hipo stickers on the valve
covers. They can come off without
harming the covers. Even though they are
for a 60 hipo, I think they look great on this car) The 352 was a 4.0 bore by 3.5 stroke. Some of these engines were ho hum and some
were great. This motor has factory flat
top pistons. Matching that with the C4AE
6090-G heads really makes this car get up and go if it needs to. The 4v Edelbrock has proven to be a great
carb. It has made this 64 run much
better than it did with the 4100. On one
of my other cars, an Edlebrock made 18 more HP and gained me 3 MPG over a
holley. This was a stock 428 motor and
JUST by bolting this carb on I was able to see the gains on the dyno and at the
pump. You will love the 352 FE with this
Edelbrock! I can include a Ford 4100
that needs rebuilt for you Ford parts only purists. Everything on this car besides the carb and the air filter
is set up like factory. Even the vacuum
set up, kick down, everything is just way it should be. This car sounds good, looks good, works good,
drives good, runs good, and gets good attention. It’s easy to drive. My wife can go out to the car cold, start it
and head out without an issue. Vin Tag Body = 63B Color = AM Trim = 75 Date = 31K Axle = 1 Trans = 4 VIN = 4P66X121252 Breakdown of the vin: Body = 63B (2 Door Fastback) Color = AM (Raven Black/Wimbledon White) (Paint codes 1724

(or see since so many people do a white roof when restoring). Please contact me before you bid if you have less than 10 positive feedback. If you have less than 10 I have to cancel your bit. I just cant waste time with people who are not looking to buy this car! HERE IS A VIDEO AND 100 MORE PICTURES OF THE CAR! Latest Forza Horizon 3 car pack features a Skyline and a fast Swedish wagon
Tue, Jan 3 2017The steady stream of Forza Horizon 3 car packs shows no signs of slowing down, and the latest Rockstar Energy Drink pack includes enthusiast favorites such as the R31 Skyline and the Volvo V60 Polestar. The car pack also features a couple of sporty two-doors and some off-road oriented machines. Luxury-minded players will be pleased to see both the Bentley Bentayga and BMW i8 make an appearance. People more concerned with ultimate performance will have a different pair to consider. Players will want to check out the Ford trophy truck for busting dunes, and the Radical RXC Turbo for race-car levels of pavement performance. Finally, yet another classic Aussie muscle car appears in the pack: the 1972 Ford Falcon XA GT-HO. For those interested in the new rides, this car pack is included in the Forza Horizon 3 Car Pass, or can be purchased on its own. If only one or two vehicles are must-haves, it's also possible to purchase the cars individually. Ford pulls official support from top-level NHRA teams
Sun, 11 Aug 2013As the smallest team in the sport, it wasn't really a surprise when Dodge decided to pull out of NASCAR, but Autoweek is reporting that Ford is looking to pull the plug on its professional-level NHRA sponsorships following the 2014 season. With attendance and television ratings down, the article reports that Ford is just backing out of the top series but will remain active in the Sportsman classes of racing, which are geared more toward the grassroots and semi-professional racers.
This means that one of drag racing's biggest names, John Force, will be left looking for new sponsorship after next season. Force, 64, has been with Ford for 17 years, winning 15 championships in that time and winning almost half of all Funny Car events in his Mustang since he started working with Ford in 1997, but after 2014, there could be some big shakeups at John Force Racing.
According to the report, Force would consider is moving over to the Top Fuel dragster series, although he could also move to another manufacturer to remain in the Funny Car series. With Ford on the way out, this leaves just Toyota and Dodge as the remaining active automakers in the highest levels of drag racing.
Ford F-35 Lightning II Edition Mustang appears at EAA Oshkosh
Sat, 26 Jul 2014Ford is back at the Experimental Aircraft Association AirVenture air show in Oshkosh, WI, on July 31 auctioning off its seventh Mustang for charity, and this is one seriously mean looking 2015 'Stang. All of the money from the sale goes to give free introductory flights to young people to get them interested in aviation.
We recently saw this latest EAA Mustang as a sketch. However, it looks a whole lot more menacing in person. Dubbed the Ford F-35 Lightning II Edition Mustang, it takes liberal inspiration from Lockheed Martin's latest fighter jet, and the customization makes the pony car look ready for a role in Top Gun.
On the outside, the special Mustang wears titanium-color paint that's offset by a black and yellow stripe running from hood to rear. Out back things get really wild with a mix of bright yellow and black that flows diagonally all the way to the rear spoiler. The design is based on the livery of early production F-35s. If the rousing color scheme isn't enough to get you interested, the car also gets a carbon fiber front splitter and rear diffuser, lowered suspension and a set of custom 21-inch wheels with yellow brake calipers.
