1964 FORD GALAXIE

XL 500

NO RESERVE!!!

OFFERED FOR SALE IS THE GALAXIE SEEN BELOW. THIS CAR WAS OWNED BY ONE OF OUR CUSTOMERS WHO JUST TRADED IT IN ON A NEW FORD. HE HAD ALWAYS BROUGHT IT INTO OUR SHOP EVERY YEAR FOR A SERVICE AND DECIDED IT WAS TIME TO MOVE ON. I WOULD CONSIDER THIS SLIGHTLY BETTER THEN DRIVER QUALITY CAR. WE JUST HAD THE CAR BUFFED AND DETAILED AND ALTHOUGH THE PAINT IS OLDER IT CAME OUT VERY NICE SMOOTH AND SHINY. WHEN YOU LOOK DOWN THE SIDES OF THE CAR ITI IS VERY STRAIGHT. ALL THE LOWER DOOR SEEMS ARE CRISP AND RUST FREE.  THE CAR IS SOLID UNDERNEATH ALSO.  IT STARTS UP AND GOES DOWN THE ROAD WELL AND TRANS SHIFTS AS IT SHOULD.

THERE ARE MANY PICTURES BELOW THAT ALSO INCLUDES THE FAULTS YOU WILL FIND ON THE CAR. I RECOMMEND INSPECTING IN PERSON BUT I WILL DO MY BEST TO DISCLOSE ANY FAULTS. THERE ARE A COUPLE OF SMALL CHIPS IN THE REAR BUMPER, THE TRIM AROUND THE WINDOWS, THE DOOR HANDLES AND THE MARKERS ON THE FRONT FENDERS HAS PITTING. ALL THE STAINLES IS THERE BUT SOME OF IT HAS MINOR MARKS. SOMETHING MUST HAVE DRIPPED ON THE WINDSHIELD THAT CAUSED SOME STAINS. THE DASH HAS SOME DAMAGE AND THERE IS SOMETHING MISSING NEXT TO THE RADIO. THE RADIO DOES NOT WORK BUT THE HORN AND THE WIPERS DO. IT HAS A AFTERMARKET OIL PRESSURE GAUGE THAT WORKS BUT THE TEMP GAUGE DOES NOT SEEM TO WORK CORRECTLY. THERE IS A SPLIT AT THE FRONT SEAM IN THE HEADLINER. THE ‘’O’’ IS MISSING IN FORD ON THE HOOD.

OVERALL THIS IS A GREAT DRIVER QUALITY CAR WE TOOK IN TRADE ON A NEW FORD WE ARE LOOKING TO MOVE DUE TO LACK OF STORAGE FROM THE SOON TO COME BAD WEATHER. THAT IS WHY WE CHOSE TO DO A NO RESERVE AUCTION. SORRY NO TRADES AND PLEASE HAVE THE MONEY IN PLACE BEFORE BIDDING. THE HIGH BIDDER WILL BE THE NEW OWNER!!!

Ford 1.0L EcoBoost 3-Cylinder: Autoblog Technology of the Year award finalist

Wed, 19 Nov 2014

As the old saying goes, "There's no replacement for displacement." But these days, many automakers are launching powerful, downsized engines that offer similar or better power output than their predecessors, all while offering improvements in fuel economy and emissions. These days, we're seeing automakers replacing eight-cylinder engines with turbocharged sixes, and the naturally aspirated six-cylinder motors are being phased out in favor of potent turbo fours. But Ford has gone even smaller, offering a three-cylinder, turbocharged engine with one single liter of displacement.
Sure, three-cylinder engines aren't anything new - they've been offered around the globe for ages. But Ford's EcoBoost 1.0L powerplant is perhaps the best application the Autoblog team has tested. Gone are the triple-cylinder complaints of yore - this engine doesn't sound anemic or buzzy, and there's healthy power output on tap. In fact, compared to the 1.6-liter inline-four that Ford also offers in the Fiesta, the 1.0-liter is more powerful, while boasting an impressive 45 miles per gallon on the highway.
This engine has already received numerous accolades, including winning the International Engine of the Year award in 2012, 2013 and 2014. The 1.0L EcoBoost will be available in the refreshed 2015 Ford Focus here in the US.

Ford supports bid for Detroit Rallycross race with Motown-minded Fiesta ST vid

Mon, 01 Jul 2013

As Ford continues its cheerleading effort to help bring the 2014 Summer X Games to its hometown of Detroit, MI, it has released footage of its 2014 Fiesta ST Rallycross car on location at some of the city's well-known landmarks. This video appears to have been shot around the same time as the previous X Games Detroit video was made, but it focuses 100-percent on rally car action.
With Ford Racing driver Andreas Eriksson behind the wheel, this Fiesta ST lays down some serious rubber atop Detroit's Cobo Hall parking structure, at Belle Isle and around the Michigan Central Depot. Detroit isn't alone in the bid for a three-year X Games contract as Chicago, Austin and Charlotte are also hoping to play host. The winning host city is expected to be announced this summer. Scroll down for Ford's two-minute video showing the Fiesta ST Rallycrossing through the Motor City.

Autoblog's Editors' Picks: Our complete list of the best new vehicles

Mon, May 13 2024

It's not easy to earn an “EditorsÂ’ Picks” at Autoblog as part of the rating and review process that every new vehicle goes through. Our editors have been at it a long time, which means weÂ’ve driven and reviewed virtually every new car you can go buy on the dealer lot. There are disagreements, of course, and all vehicles have their strengths and weaknesses, but this list features what we think are the best new vehicles chosen by Autoblog editors. We started this formal review process back in 2018, so there's quite of few of them now. So what does it mean to be an EditorsÂ’ Pick? In short, it means itÂ’s a car that we can highly recommend purchasing. There may be one, multiple, or even zero vehicles in any given segment that we give the green light to. What really matters is that itÂ’s a vehicle that weÂ’d tell a friend or family member to go buy if theyÂ’re considering it, because itÂ’s a very good car. The best way to use this list is is with the navigation links below. Click on a segment, and you'll quickly arrive at the top rated pickup truck or SUV, for example. Use the back button to return to these links and search in another segment, like sedans. If youÂ’ve been keeping up with our monthly series of the latest vehicles to earn EditorsÂ’ Pick status, youÂ’re likely going to be familiar with this list already. If not, welcome to the complete list that weÂ’ll be keeping updated as vehicles enter (and others perhaps exit) the good graces of our editorial team. We rate a new car — giving it a numerical score out of 10 — every time thereÂ’s a significant refresh or if it happens to be an all-new model. Any given vehicle may be impressive on a first drive, but we wait until itÂ’s in the hands of our editors to put it through the same type of testing as every other vehicle that rolls through our test fleet before giving it the EditorsÂ’ Pick badge. This ensures consistency and allows more voices to be heard on each individual model. And just so you donÂ’t think weÂ’ve skipped trims or variants of a model, we hand out the EditorsÂ’ Pick based on the overarching model to keep things consistent. So, when you read that the 3 Series is an EditorsÂ’ Pick, yes, that includes the 330i to the M3 and all the variants in between. If thereÂ’s a particular version of that car we vehemently disagree with, we make sure to call that out.
