Super Rare 1964 Country Squire Highly Optioned 6 Passenger Wagon in Suberb rust free unrestored condition. Options include T-Bird 390, A/C, Roof Rack, Power Stearing and brakes and working electric rear window. If you want the ultimate Surfwagon that you can drive to the beach and leave without body guards , this is it!!!!.  Car was just driven on a 100 mile trip at 70 miles per hour without any issues. This is a beautiful unrestored rust free wagon with original trim and interior that is a survivor and a wonderfully fun driver. We bought this wagon two years ago with the idea to restore and have yet to start any major work. Recent work ( $2500.00) includes  freshenening the engine compartment, along with carb rebuild, new valve cover gaskets, electric fuel pump, reconditioned gas tank, distributor, plugs, points wires and suspension gone through. The car starts and drives beautifully and is NOW solid and tight.  This 64 Country Squire has the rare 390 CI Upgrade Thunderbird Engine Option with 300 HP which does not smoke or tick.  The front suspension has been rebuilt and exhaust is new front to back. The car has had one driver quality repaint years ago but the door jambs are original and NOT all covered in overspray and thick paint as most old wagons are, and the woodgrain has been replaced at some point with after market panelling. The airconditioning is not connected but is all in tack. The rear tailgate window works perfectly. The front seat cover needs replacing and a new after market cover in the same pattern is included and the dash has two cracks and is covered with a dash pad . The head liner is great. Most people dont show you the drivers area because they are hiding the worn out seat but the replacement cover will fix the problem. The rear seats are great. This is a six passenger wagon. The exhaust has straight pipes and has a performance rumble when running. The rear tires are great, front will need replacing eventually. Door jambs and doors are 100% solid as is the  body and undercarriage. Chrome is original and decent, These Country Squires are becoming impossible to find but even more so at this price, dont miss out  all questions will be answered  Car is 10 minutes from Toronto Pearson Airport. Thanks Greg

Ford builds one-off 50th anniversary Mustang Convertible for charity

Thu, 08 May 2014

At the New York Auto Show this year, Ford revealed a special-edition Mustang to honor the iconic pony car's 50th anniversary. Only 1,964 highly symbolic examples will be made, all of them fixed-roof coupes. But the Blue Oval automaker has just announced that it's also building a single 50 Years edition convertible that it will raffled off for charity.
The first production example of the new Mustang Convertible to roll off the line this fall, this one-off will pack many of the features on the 50 Years coupe, including its white paintjob, chrome trim, aluminum dashboard, two-tone upholstery, contrast stitching, special 19-inch wheels and special-edition badging throughout.
This unique cabrio will also be fitted with a special performance pack including Pirelli PZero rubber, Brembo brakes and a limited-slip differential to help get the 420 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque from the 5.0-liter V8 through the six-speed manual transmission and down to the road. It'll also feature a serial plaque with the number 0001 of 0001 and chairman Bill Ford's signature.

This unique '64 Mustang was Edsel Ford II's first car

Thu, 02 Jan 2014

You probably had the same dream when you were a teenager. Your sixteenth birthday is coming up, or Christmas, or maybe both, and all you want is a muscle car to call your own. That dream has come true for some, and one of them was none other than Edsel Ford II.
Henry Ford's great grandson turned 16 on December 27, 1964 - two days after Christmas and eight months after the original Mustang went on sale. And that's just what was waiting for him in the driveway, courtesy of his father (and reigning chief executive) Henry Ford II.
The specially-prepared pony car had a pearlescent cream paintjob with narrow blue racing stripes, functional hood scoop, chrome trim, Euro-spec fender-mounted mirrors, a blue leather and aluminum interior, a monogrammed fuel cap... and a 289-cubic-inch V8 under the hood.

Mustang Cobra Jet prototype garners $200k for charity at Barrett-Jackson

Wed, 02 Oct 2013

A few weeks ago we brought you news of a one-off Mustang Cobra Jet that Ford was donating to charity. The car was set to be auctioned off by Barrett-Jackson in Las Vegas to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Now that auction has taken place, bringing in an impressive $200,000 for MS research.
That's a lot of zeros for a Mustang, much less one you can't even drive on the street. But the unique pony car, bearing serial number 2014 BJMS CJXX1, packs a 5.0-liter supercharged V8, competition gearbox, wheelie bar, roll cage... all you could want, in short, in a turn-key drag racer. And all that for a good cause.
