FOR SALE IS A RARE FIND FROM CA. THIS IS A 1963 FORD GALAXIE COUPE. 14,800 original miles! IT WAS ORDERED BY SOME GENTLEMEN THAT WANTED A G-CODE "THUNDER BOLT" CAR. WHEN THEY COULD NOT GET ONE FROM FORD, THEY DID THE NEXT BEST THING AND BUILT THEIR OWN!

THIS CAR WAS ORDERED IN THE FACTORY COLORS YOU SEE WITH A V8 3-SPEED TRANSMISSION. WHEN THE CAR ARRIVED, THE FORD FACTORY CORRECT FIBERGLASS FRONT FENDERS, HOOD AND BOTH THE FRONT & REAR BUMPER'S WERE ADDED.(STILL HAS THE METAL TRUNK LID)THE SPARE TIRE WAS REMOVED. THE DRIVE TRAIN WAS PULLED AND A REAL 60'S DRAG MOTOR WAS ORDERED. THEY CHOSE A HOLMAN/MOODY PREPPED FORD 406 C.I. BIG BLOCK V8 TOPPED OFF WITH 3X2 BARREL CARBS.. A 4 SPEED WAS INSTALLED ALONG WITH THE 4-LINK STYLE REAR SUSPENSION. THE CAR WAS MAINLY USED FOR DRAG RACING MOST OF ITS LIFE. IT WAS KEEPED IN A GARAGE. THIS CAR HAS A FACTORY RADIO AND A HEATER UNLIKE A THUNDER BOLT CAR. IT HAS ALL IT'S ORIGINAL INTERIOR & THE MILES FOR THE CAR ARE CORRECT. Ford settles class action suit over defective Navistar diesel engines

The 2003 Ford F-Series Super Duty (shown above) introduced the 6.0-liter Power Stroke diesel supplied by Navistar, and while that is an engine Ford would love to forget, it's now one step closer to putting that particular problem behind it. Automotive News is reporting that Ford has settled a class-action lawsuit brought on by problems with this engine that started right out of the gate and ultimately broke up the 30-year relationship between Ford and Navistar.
Owners and lessees of 2003-2007 Super Duty trucks and E-Series vans equipped with the 6.0-liter Power Stroke are eligible for deductible reimbursements of between $50 and $200 from the original five-year/100,000-mile engine warranty, while Ford is paying out as much as $825 for out-of-warranty engine repairs. These repairs may include the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) cooler, EGR valve, oil cooler, fuel injectors and turbocharger, but are only covered if the components failed before six years or 135,000 miles.
In total, Ford has agreed to pay about 50 percent of the value of the repairs and deductibles paid by its customers who submit a claim before the end of this year, and $150,000 is going to the 16 named plaintiffs in the case; Navistar was not included in the lawsuit.

Hear the 2015 Mustang GT V8 roar for the first time

Our combined knowledge of the 2015 Ford Mustang continues to deepen, as spy shooters have begun to compile video and audio of the upcoming sixth-generation car.
Case in point is this latest series of video clips, which not only gives us a great vantage point of the Mustang in motion, but also allows us to hear the Ford V8 engine and exhaust. After perusing the aural delights of this short video, which, admittedly, doesn't catch the Mustang GT at full song, we can at least say that the throaty exhaust isn't disappointing.
Chances are good that the 2015 Mustang GT will debut with some version of the current (and excellent) Coyote 5.0-liter V8 engine, though we're unclear as to whether or not the motor has been massaged for its next-gen debut, or what may have been done to exhaust plumbing. At this point, we're just happy to hear the pony run. Scroll below to hear for yourself.
