1963 Ford Galaxie 4 Door Sedan,rat Rod Or Restore ! on 2040-cars
Tarpon Springs, Florida, United States
I have a nice 1963 Galaxie up for sale. I am a used car dealer in tarpon springs,Fl. I have put a fair price on the car. They just don't make them anymore. My thoughts were that a person could do a Andy of Mayberry Tribute or a Dallas cop car look alike. I wish I had the time to play with it but im too busy with running my business to do anything but dream. Im going to post a bunch of pics so you see the condition of this 50 year old Ford. The lady I got it from said the mileage was correct,it shows about 59000 miles. The clear Fl title said actual mileage on it. The state of Fl now states anything over 10 years old will be considered Exempt, no big deal just want you to understand. This car is a 223 cu inch 6 cyc,2 speed automatic transmission ,This car has no radio from the factory. The chrome trim not on the car appears to be in the trunk. The car does run and drive,Brakes work, lights work.Trans shifts good. The frame was undercoated from new and appears very solid, the floors are good, ive found a small hole by gas pedal area. The decklid has rust in the upper lip area, id probably rec replacement of the deck lid for that reason. Tires all are pretty good and hold air. So if you are looking for a project and like Ford Galaxies of this era buy it! I can be reached at 727-543-1601 most anytime. My name is Tim Gibson and Im the dealer principal of RTG Auto Sales LLc. Were located in Tarpon Springs Fl 34689.

Ford calling in 28k Edge crossovers over fuel line leak
Thu, 16 Jan 2014A problem with the fuel line on certain examples of the Ford Edge has prompted the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to issue a recall. The issue revolves around the metal housing on the fuel line pulse damper, which was apparently improperly manufactured in the first place and is prone to crack in certain circumstances, leading to a fuel leak. And as we all know, a fuel leak is not a good thing.
The problem affects model year 2012 and 2013 Edge crossovers equipped with the 2.0-liter engine and manufactured between September 2, 2010 and April 25, 2013 - a total of 27,933 units. Although the Lincoln MKX is closely related to the Edge, since it isn't offered with the same engine (to which the problem is related), the recall does not include the premium-badged version. See the recall notice below for further details.
American automakers fall in latest Fortune 500 rankings
Fri, 10 May 2013Not that it means anything beyond bragging rights, but if you're fixated on the positions of domestic automakers on the annual Fortune 500 list, both General Motors and Ford are still on it but they've slipped a couple of notches. The list ranks American companies and they're ordered solely by revenue. GM, fifth last year, came in seventh, while Ford fell from ninth to tenth even though both companies saw small gains in annual revenue.
GM's $152.3 billion in revenue was less than a third of that of the first company on the list: Wal-Mart, which regained the title from Exxon Mobil. Berkshire Hathaway and Apple are the firms that moved GM down. Ford, displaced by energy company Valero, had $134.3 billion in revenue.
On a side note, profitability isn't a factor, but both GM and Ford were down in this year's list compared to last year's: GM declined from $9.2 billion to $6.2 billion, Ford fell from $20.2 billion to $5.6 billion. If profits were included, Exxon Mobil would probably still be king: although the energy company made almost $20 billion less in revenue than Wal-Mart's $469.2 billion, it posted $44.9 billion in profit compared to Wal-Mart's $17 billion.
Ford starting up 2.0L EcoBoost engine production in Ohio
Fri, 22 Feb 2013Joe Hinrichs, Ford's President of The Americas (pictured above), announced today that in late 2014, the automaker will be building the 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder at its Cleveland Engine Plant, a move requiring a $200-million investment and the hiring of 450 new employees. European-built Ford products will continue to source this engine from the Valencia, Spain plant where all of these EcoBoost four-cylinder engines are currently built, and the new Cleveland engines will be used for all North American-made models.
Ford is planning to build its popular EcoBoost engines regionally to maximize production capacity and meet customer demand. Last year, Ford sold 334,364 vehicles with EcoBoost engines in the US alone, and that number is expected to swell to more than 500,000 by the end of this year, with global sales expected to total 1.6 million. By 2015, Ford says that 95 percent of its nameplates will offer an EcoBoost engine.
One such vehicle that could be adding an EcoBoost engine, according to Automotive News, is none other than the 2015 Ford Mustang. The report says that Ford could use either the 2.0-liter EcoBoost or an upcoming 2.3-liter EcoBoost in the sixth-generation pony car.
