This wagon has the very rare and desirable factory bucket seat option with a floor shift console. It also has rare power windows. I have too many cars to have the time to enjoy this one. I put new points in the distributor and it fires right up, but it does need some ignition wiring worked out. I have video of it running... As the photos show, the front buckets need to be addressed and so does the headliner. The only thing I see it's missing is the clock in the dash and the antenna mast. As far as rust goes, it's really very solid with just two dime size wholes in the pass side floor and a little in the roof on the corners, that's all I could find. The quarter panels are all solid. It's a shame that both rear quarters have slight damage around the taillights. There is a small section of fiberglass woodgrain missing from the drivers side. This car has gotten a lot of interest and everyone loves the very desirable patena that this original paint shows. I'm also under the impression that the whole car is original inside and out including the motor. I found the car exactly as it sits, just cleaned and photographed. I did put four new tires on it as the others were shot. I would call this a barn find that I found in a field. Clean clear California title and bill of sale from previous owner. Chris 310-709-5561

Ford, Volvo top 2014 EyesOn Design awards

Each year at the Detroit Auto Show, the top vehicle designs are recognized with the prestigious EyesOn Design award for production and concept vehicles. This year, the 32 EyesOn Design judges (comprised of current and former vehicle designers including Chrysler designer and SRT president Ralph Gilles, Kia designer Peter Schreyer and retired General Motors designer Wayne Cherry) handed out three awards for the Best Concept Vehicle, Best Production Vehicle and Innovative Use of Color, Graphics, and Materials.
Beating out the Mercedes C-Class and Ford F-150, the 2015 Ford Mustang was named the Best Production Vehicle as the top auto show debut at this year's Detroit show. The 2014 Volvo Concept XC Coupe took home awards as the Best Concept Vehicle and for its Innovative Use of Color, Graphics and Materials.
Considering the Volvo's primer grey hue and subtle orange accents, it was a rather surprising winner for Innovative Use of Color, Graphics, and Materials over flashier concepts like the Toyota FT-1 and our Editors' Choice top pick, the Kia GT4 Stinger. Ford could post best-ever profits in Q1 2013

Analysts are saying that Ford Motor Company may have earned a record $2.7 billion pretax profit in North America during the first quarter of 2013, a number that represents its highest first quarter profit ever. The impressive earnings are further proof that the American automaker is making a solid comeback as the economy begins to recover.
Morgan Stanley and JP Morgan Chase are estimating that Ford's first quarter North American profit may have topped 12 percent. The firm cited the automaker's fresh lineup, but noted that CEO Alan Mulally needs to uphold the pace as the company works to gain ground in the car and utility segments.
Ford's success has been led by increased demand for its F-Series pickup, the best-selling vehicle in the US for 31 years, and by the Fusion sedan that recently recorded its best-ever quarterly sales in the domestic market. Ford is expected to release its first-quarter revenue on Wednesday, of this week.

More 2015 Ford Mustang pricing information leaks [UPDATE]

The big news this morning was that the 2015 Ford Mustang would start at $24,425, including its destination pricing. The big news this afternoon is, well, bigger.
Mustang6G.com has come up with what it claims is pricing info for the entire Mustang line, rather than just the V6. That means we know all about the EcoBoost and GT prices now, which, when combined with the dealer order sheets we reported on last week, gives us our clearest look yet at how the Mustang can be outfitted (we're still a bit short on pricing info for some standalone options, like paint premiums and such).
The base EcoBoost starts at $25,995, while the GT rings up at $32,925.
