Up for consideration is a 1959 Ford Fairlane 500 Galaxie. I bought the car with intentions of restoring it because dad had one. Things got in the way (got married, need I say more?) and didn't have the time or money to restore it. It was running when I stored it. It needs a new (obviously, see photo) interior, steering wheel, carpt. It also needs new belts, detailing etc. Not sure if it's a 292 or 352 V8. Overall solid straight car and wouldn't take alot to get it into very nice condition. To the best of my knowledge is all it needs and is being sold as is. Shipping cost is the responsibility of the successful bidder. I'll assist your chosen transporter loading the vehicle. If you have any questions that I might have missed, feel free to contact me. One other thing, I didn't have the exact mileage when I listed the car so I had to put 99999. I can give you the correct mileage if needed. It's a good-ol-Ford.

California Man Reunited 33 Years Later With Thunderbird
Wed, Sep 3 2014A California man was at a loss for words when he was reunited with his prized 1964 Ford Thunderbird on Tuesday, 33 years after it was stolen from a bar parking lot. Gary Chartrand could hardly believe how well his old Thunderbird held up in the last three decades. The odometer had only added about 1,000 miles from when he last saw the car back in the 1980s. "A few bumps and bruises but boy, not much changed," Chartrand told KOVR. Chartrand bought the car as a present to himself after finalizing his divorce from his wife of 10 years in 1981. It disappeared one night from the parking lot of a Sacramento bar where he was working. Police found Chartrand's car 750 miles north in Washington State. They have no leads on who might have stolen the classic car. Related Gallery Buying An Older Car: Five Things To Watch Out For

Automakers donating money, vehicles and supplies to Oklahoma tornado relief effort
Fri, 24 May 2013Judging by the destruction the Oklahoma City area experienced earlier this week, residents are going to need a lot of help in coming months. Fortunately, a number of automakers - including General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, Volkswagen, Honda and Toyota - have stepped up to donate money, supplies and vehicles to aid in the recovery and rebuilding processes.
Here's a quick rundown of which automakers have pitched in and what each contributed so far:
Ford Motor Company has donating $250,000 and a Transit Connect to the American Red Cross, and it will match all other donations made to the Red Cross (up to $250,000) using a special URL tied to the latter's website (link here). Additionally, its local Oklahoma dealers have thrown in an extra $150,000 for the United Way and the automaker will be offering an extra $500 toward the purchase of a new Ford vehicle.
