This is a 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid.  I am the original owner and the car has less than 6,000 miles on it.  It is in excellent condition, no damage, dings, dents, or any other problem.  The car gets between 40 and 45 mpg in the city with similar milage on the highway.  I have never used the floor mats and the car comes with an all weather floor liner.  The car smells and looks new.  Owned by a non-smoker and no one has ever smoked in the car.  It is equipped with the myfordtouch sync system.  This system offers the driver driving directions, weather, sports and other features and its included for the first 3 years of ownership from new.  The vehicle comes with a 3 year 36,000 mile warranty.  The inservice date (purchase date) of this vehicle was 1/29/2013 so there is still a lot of manufacturer warranty left.  If you purchase it with the buy it now feature I will include the Ford Extended Service Plan.  This plan is a genuine Ford Premium Care plan with a $0 deductible for a total of 72 months or 75,000 miles.  This warranty is good at any Ford Dealership nationwide and is the most comprehensive warranty they offer.

This vehicle was over $35,000 new so you can save big by buying a practically new vehicle for much less.

****  Please note the features on this vehicle *****

Adaptive Cruise Control with forward collision warning

Activate the available adaptive cruise control* and it functions just like normal cruise control— with one exception. When adaptive cruise control sensors detect traffic slowing immediately ahead of you, your vehicle also slows down, based on your preset distance. When its sensors detect traffic has cleared, your vehicle returns to the set speed. Forward collision warning with brake support will alert you if it senses a potential collision with the car in front of you. A “heads-up” display, which simulates brake lights, flashes on the windshield. If you don’t react in time, the brakes will precharge and increase brake-assist sensitivity to provide full responsiveness when you brake.

Lane Keeping System

The Lane-Keeping System* includes both the lane-keeping alert and the lane-keeping aid. A camera mounted behind the windshield watches road lane markings to determine vehicle position and detect a lane departure. The system can operate during the day or night. Lane-keeping alert warns you through a series of steering wheel vibrations, which mimic a rumble strip, should the system detect an unintentional lane departure. Lane-keeping aid actively applies steering torque, which alerts you to direct your vehicle back into the target lane should the system detect an unintended lane departure.

BLIS with cross traffic alert

The available BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with cross-traffic alert* helps make driving more convenient. Radar in the rear quarter panels identifies if a vehicle is detected in your blind spot and the system alerts you with an indicator light in the appropriate sideview mirror. Cross-traffic alert uses radar to watch for traffic behind you when you’re slowly backing out of a parking spot or your driveway. If cross-traffic sensors detect a vehicle approaching from up to 15 yards away, you will be alerted by a visual display in the corresponding mirror and a signal in the message center.

Ford previews updated Police Interceptor Utility for Chicago debut

Tue, Feb 3 2015

With more law enforcement agencies across the United States alone than we'd care to count (or ever encounter), selling police cars means big business for American automakers, with Ford, Chevy and Dodge competing to fill the motorpools of every police department, sheriff's office and government agency in the land. For its part, Ford offers the Taurus-based Police Interceptor sedan and the Explorer-based Police Interceptor Utility, and it's preparing to unveil a revised version of the latter at the upcoming Chicago Auto Show in the same city where it's built. Dearborn hasn't given us much to go on with this teaser, showing just a darkened front shot of the vehicle in question with its emergency lighting all aglow. But it's fairly clear that the Interceptor Utility has been given many of the same updates applied recently to the Explorer on which it's based. That starts with the revised sheet metal, but considering that the Interceptor Utility exclusively packs V6 power, the 2.3-liter EcoBoost four that was one of the biggest updates to the civilian Explorer isn't likely to carry over. Ford does, however, promise that the revised Police Interceptor Utility will be "even better" than the model it replaces" and pack "more high-tech features." Related Video:

Jurassic Park made a big impact on these Jeep drivers

Thu, 12 Jun 2014

For a certain cohort of young folks, Jurassic Park is a touchstone film from their childhood. Not only did it play into practically every little boy's love of dinosaurs, the movie included some great action scenes and special effects that still hold up today. In its latest video, The Aficionauto takes a look the Jurassic Park Motor Pool, a California car club with over 40 fans who created replica vehicles from the iconic film.
The club is made up of an interesting cross-section of people. Many of them were Jeep Wrangler fans that already loved off-roading and Jurassic Park, and liked the idea of bringing them together. Like any close-knit club, it ends up being about community and people coming together to share their interests. It's quite a heartwarming video. Also, be sure to stay until the end because The Aficionauto teases a future Jurassic Park-themed vehicle. Scroll down to check out the motor pool.

Ford ditching Microsoft in favor of BlackBerry QNX for next-gen Sync?

Mon, 24 Feb 2014

Ask the average consumer - at least, those who follow the goings-on in the automotive industry - which carmaker they'd most closely associate Microsoft, and the answer you'd most likely get would be Ford. The Blue Oval automaker, after all, was at the forefront of bringing Microsoft technology into cars with its pioneering Sync system, and, though reality didn't turn out as such, Ford's CEO was recently touted as a potential future head of the Redmond-based software giant. But that relationship, according to the latest reports, could be coming to an end.
Alan Mullaly kiboshed the idea of leaving Dearborn for Redmond, but more importantly Ford is tipped to be ditching Microsoft in developing its next-generation Sync system. In its place, Ford is expected to partner with BlackBerry's QNX division.
Now, before you go balking "BlackBerry?! But they're finished!" consider that QNX is (or at least was) an independent entity that Research In Motion (as BlackBerry's Ontario-based parent company was then known) just happened to have bought back in 2010. QNX provides control systems to everything from nuclear power plants and UAVs to automakers like Audi, BMW and Porsche.
