Hi - I'm Paul. My wife and I are selling our 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid SE. I'll try to answer all the usual questions so that you can bid or decide to pass.
1.) How long have you owned the car? Answer: We bought it new in January of 2013 2.) Why are you selling it? Answer: We have two growing boys and need to step into something bigger. We're just running out of room as they are not so little anymore. 3.) Has it been in any accidents or had any damage? Answer: Nope, no accidents or damage of any kind. The car is in great shape. 4.) Are you the only owners? Answer: Yes, we've owned it since new. We bought it from Flood Ford, a local Ford dealer here in RI 5.) Does everything work? Answer: Yes, everything works. 6.) What type of mileage do you get? Answer: Our actual MPG is 40.1. We do a lot of local driving if that helps. The fuel savings performance is pretty incredible. We'll miss it. 7.) How are the tires? Answer: The tires are basically brand new. Very little wear 8.) Has it been maintained and are service records available? Answer: Yes, Flood Ford has done all maintenence and full records are available. 9.) Is there a warranty? Anwers: Yes, see the sticker. There is a balance of a bumper-to-bumper, powertrain, roadside assist, and hybrid components warranty and a transferrable warranty for Teflon glass-coat uphostery protection. 10.) What blemishes, imperfections exist? Answer: It is hard to tell in the pictures but on the back seats, top section, there are small marks made by drum sticks. Our son plays the drums and had the habit of playing on the back of the seat. Just the top of it but noticeable. The material is in fine condition but you can see the marks. There is also a very small scratch on the hood. A bit bigger than a dime. See the picture. It can be easily buffed out and is not anywhere near metal. 11.) Can I contact you with questions? Answer: Yes, just call my cell at 857.544.0320. Evenings are best. |

Ford F-150 RaptorTrax is Ken Block's ultimate snowmobile
Tue, 21 Jan 2014Even when Ken Block isn't starring in the latest Gymkhana video or tearing up Global RallyCross courses, he's finding new ways to redefine "awesome" as it applies to motorsports. For evidence of this, look no further than Block's latest Monster-badged creation, the Ford F-150 RaptorTrax.
Billed as the "world's fastest snowcat," the RaptorTrax started life as a Ford F-150 SVT Raptor, and then a set of Mattracks were put in place where the truck's bead-locked wheels and meaty rubber once resided. The goal was to create a truck that made it easier - and presumably more fun - for Block and his buddies to hit the slopes on their snowboards. Aside from the obvious track upgrades, this truck also received a Whipple supercharger, full roll cage, Recaro seats, an in-bed snowboard rack, a roof basket and a rear-mounted winch - you know, just in case something or someone actually manages to get this truck stuck.
The RaptorTrax will be on display later this week at the Winter X Games in Apsen, CO, but we'll have to wait until next winter for a full Block-worthy video of the truck. A full press release from Hoonigan Racing Division is posted below, and a high-res image can be found by clicking above.

2020 Toyota Highlander vs other 3-row crossovers: There can only be one!
Fri, Dec 20 2019We've done quite a few spec comparison posts involving three-row family crossovers, and when included, the Toyota Highlander has always been the runt of the group. While the rest increasingly seemed to be benchmarking each other toward greater girth, the Highlander was the outlier. That changes a bit for the 2020 Toyota Highlander, but only a bit. It's now larger and more competitive, specifically in regards to the amount of cargo space aft of the third-row seat. As you can see below, this aligns the Highlander most closely to its long-time competitor the 2020 Honda Pilot. However, let's see how it stacks up to others in the segment, which is heavily populated now, so for the sake of space, we've selected the newest entries: Kia Telluride, Hyundai Palisade, Subaru Ascent and Ford Explorer. The order in which they are presented is random. Performance and fuel economy The 2020 Highlander is more than 200 pounds lighter than its predecessor, but has the same 295-horsepower V6 engine that was already one of the strongest in the segment. We'd say that would give it a leg up, but the Pilot and Explorer have proven to be sprinters, delivering 0-60 times in the low-6 range by some publications' stopwatches (or VBoxes, whatever). We don't expect the Highlander to beat them, but it may dip into the 6's. The heavy, less-powerful Subaru Ascent is most likely to take up the rear. It's fuel economy of 23 mpg combined also matches the Highlander and Explorer for segment-best. Remember, however, that the Explorer's turbocharged inline-four engine is likely more susceptible to differences in driving style (read: a heavy foot). Of course, if you're really interested in fuel economy, the Highlander and Explorer are the only vehicles in the segment to offer hybrid versions. The Ford Explorer Hybrid puts a greater emphasis on performance, however, resulting in lower estimates of 25 mpg combined (AWD) and 28 mpg combined (FWD). By contrast, the new 2020 Toyota Highlander Hybrid is estimated to return 36 mpg combined. Passenger and cargo space According to Highlander chief engineer Yoshikazu Saeki, he had a choice of two directions with the new Highlander. He could have indeed made it bigger, matching these very competitors, especially in terms of third-row and cargo space. Or, he could have maintained a smaller-than-average size. He obviously chose the latter. First, it was the size customers had come to expect. Would they be put off by something bigger?
