You are bidding on a VERY clean 2011 Ford Fusion SE. I purchased this car new in May of 2011. It has been a commuter car and I have a 2014 Ford Fusion on order and need to sell. This car has been incredibly reliable and surprisingly fuel efficient (avg 28 MPG) since I purchased. I take care of my vehicles and usually wash at least every other week. This is a non-smoking vehicle. All maintenance has been completed by TexStar Ford in Stephenville, Texas. There is a transferable warranty that expires at 75,000 miles as well as pre-paid maintenance that has one oil change remaining. I flat towed this car behind my motor coach and it has the Roadmaster brackets installed as well as taillight wiring. It could be hooked up today and towed although I have not towed it in the last 18 months. If you are looking for a fuel efficient, clean and dependable 4 door sedan then this is your car. RV owners would have a great dinghy vehicle to town behind your rig. Good luck bidding! |

Autoblog Podcast #317:
Toyota fears supplier pressure in Australia with GM pull out
Wed, 11 Dec 2013With Ford and General Motors both announcing an end to production in Australia, the country's auto industry is in a bad way. With the exit of two big players, there's increased concern that a third Australian manufacturer, Toyota, will be forced out, as well.
"We are saddened to learn of GM Holden's decision. This will place unprecedented pressure on the local supplier network and our ability to build cars in Australia," Toyota Australia said in a statement. The GM closure of Holden production will be the direct end to 2,900 jobs, but will also force a dramatic reduction in the size of the country's supplier network, as there will simply be fewer cars to build.
In the same statement, Toyota Australia said it would work with suppliers and local government to figure out whether continuing production Down Under was even feasible. According to Automotive News, a representative for the Australian Manufacturing Workers' Union told reporters it was "highly likely" that Toyota would also close up shop within the next few years.
Ford, GM to collaborate on 9- and 10-speed transmissions
Mon, 15 Apr 2013Back in October, there were reports that General Motors and Ford Motor Company were hard at work co-developing new nine- and ten-speed automatic transmissions, and now both automakers have confirmed this joint operation. While there are no specific vehicles mentioned to receive either transmission, a collaborative press release issued by GM and Ford mention that the transmission will be designed for front- and rear-wheel-drive cars, crossovers, trucks and SUVs.
These aren't the first powertrain components developed jointly between these cross-town rivals, either. The six-speed automatic currently used in vehicles like the Ford Edge, Ford Fusion, Chevrolet Cruze and Chevrolet Equinox was engineered in a similar fashion. As is the case with this existing transmission, both automakers will assist in the design, development and testing of the new transmissions, but each will build its own units in its own factories. Scroll down for the official press release.
