2004 Ford Freestar SES with VMI Handicap Conversion....Only 40K miles!!

Call me anytime with questions (309)-261-4340

Up for sale is an absolutely RUST FREE '04 Freestar minivan.  This van has the SES package with the 3.9L V6 and automatic transmission.  The van has all the power options including windows, rear vents, mirrors, locks, and windows.  CD player, power driver seat, climate control, cold A/C in both front and rear, keyless entry, and much more.  The van has been very well taken care of and there are no odors, smells, pets, smoke or anything like that inside the van.

Call day or night (309)-261-4340

The van runs, drives, and shifts like new.  It practically is a new van with only 40K miles on it.  There are no mechanical issues with the van and everything works properly like it should.  No warning lights on the dash, no accidents or anything not right with the van.  The exterior is in great shape too with just very minimal wear.  The front tires are showing some age on them and the back tires are in good shape.

These vans go fast!! (309)-261-4340

The Wheelchair ramp conversion was done by VMI.  This van has their top dollar conversion they call the Northstar.  It features a 10" lowered floor from the back bench seat all the way under the dash with tie down points throughout to tie down a chair in just about any configuration.  Both the driver seat and passenger seat can easily be removed to be replaced with a wheelchair.  The best part is the in floor ramp.  This slides very smoothly out automatically with the automatic door and kneeling option.  There is no rattle like the folding ramps on normal handicap vans.  This is my pick!  There are several locations to run the door and ramp both inside the van and outside.

Shipping is available, just call for a quote.  I can also pick you up from the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport anytime if you would like to fly in.

Thanks for looking

Patrick (309)-261-4340

Ford recalls Five Hundred, Mercury Montego sedans over fuel tank woes

Mon, 18 Jul 2011

Ford has announced through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that it is recalling nearly 3,000 examples of its Five Hundred and Mercury Montego (pictured) sedans from the 2007 model year.
The action, which affects 2,945 vehicles, is due to potentially defective welds between the filler neck and the fuel tank, a condition that could result in a fuel leak or the smell of gasoline reaching the occupants. In the worst-case scenario, a leak could cause a fire. Cars with the affected fuel tank problem could see an illuminated dashboard warning light as a result of the evaporative emissions leak being detected.
Ford will inspect and replace the fuel tank at no cost to owners (those who have already had the procedure done at-cost can apply for reimbursement), and the Dearborn automaker will begin notifying Five Hundred and Montego owners beginning August 15. Check out the official NHTSA press release after the jump for further details.

Man turns Ford Fiesta into a one-car band

Mon, 18 Nov 2013

The one-man band is a rather ridiculous idea, drawing up images of one person attempting to manipulate several instruments, at once, in a vain attempt at creating music. It's usually represented by silly scenes like this. Interestingly, the concept isn't much more successful when the "man" in "one-man band" is replaced with "car," as we see in this video.
It seems that someone rigged up and edited (699 times, we might add) a Ford Fiesta, a bucket, 12 PVC pipes and the natural sounds that a car makes to come up with a song. Now, we don't recognize the tune, so we've no idea if this is a cover or an original piece. And while it's hardly Beethoven, we have to admire the amount of effort the "conductor" went to in his attempt to turn a subcompact car into a musical instrument(s). Take a look (or listen) below for the entire video.

Ford recalls 1.9m cars and crossovers for defective airbags

Wed, Jun 1 2016

The Basics: Ford is recalling a total of 1,898,728 vehicles to replace defective Takata front passenger-side airbags. This includes the 2007-2010 Ford Edge, 2006-2011 Ford Fusion, 2005-2011 Ford Mustang, 2007-2011 Ford Ranger, 2007-2010 Lincoln MKX and 2006-2011 Lincoln MKZ, Zephyr and Mercury Milan vehicles built in North America. The Problem: The defective airbags have been linked to ruptures that can send metal fragments at the passenger, due to deteriorating propellant. Injuries/Deaths: Ford claims it's not aware of any injuries due to the problem, but rupturing Takata airbags have been linked to a series of serious injuries and deaths. The Fix: Dealers will replace the passenger-side frontal airbag at no charge to the customer. If you own one: Look out for a letter from the manufacturer to arrange service at your local dealer. If you'd like to check if your vehicle is affected, click on the safety recalls link on Ford.com and enter your VIN. Related Video:
