This is probly the nicest GT on E-Bay.,Engine  is a 5.0 with aluminum heads, Headers, Cod Air intake, and other goodies. It runs great and burns no oil. It has no leaks. The A-c blows cold air. It has a Pioneer Stereo with CD,I-Pod-and USB Port (which I use all the time with a little SD-Cruzer which holds about 3000 songs. It has very nice Cobra wheels with no rust. This car is pretty much rust free. The mufflers I believe are Magna-Flow, It really sounds awesome and it's got some GUTS. The top is as close to new as you can get and you can go topless in about 5 seconds. The interior is very nice and has no rips or tears. Also it has 2 sub-woofers with 2 Amps in the power trunk, so you can wake up the neighbors. The transmission has been gone through ands runs great. This is one Very straight and pretty car, With high $ House of Kolor paint. I really hate to get rid  of it cause it's so much fun. Where-ever you go with this people  have got to check it out. It's a real eye catcher.  I just put a new battery and serpentine belt on it last week. .I probly missed some things, But all in all this is one FINE GT.  Buy it, fly in and drive it home. Thanks, Derald.

Ford Mustang GT500 successor spied near SVT

Tue, 17 Sep 2013

Details about the next-gen Ford Mustang are scarce, and there's even less information out there about the upcoming replacement for the Shelby GT500. Previously rumored to drop the Shelby name and wear the GT350 moniker, the highest-performance Mustang has just been spotted testing near Ford's SVT operations.
Despite being cloaked in heavy camouflage, we can instantly tell this prototype is different from other Mustang spy shots we've seen in the past. Aside from the Shelby-spec wheels, quad exhaust outlets (previous spy shots show only two) and beefier brakes, this car also has air intakes on the hood and front fenders. These elements help to neither prove nor dismiss rumors that the next SVT Mustang will be naturally aspirated. It also looks like Ford is may be planning some changes to this car's rear suspension, as there is some extra camouflage added beneath the rear end of this prototype.
As a bonus, these spy shots also give us our first look inside the new Mustang, revealing a new steering wheel (with more buttons) and a glimpse of the dual-pod instrument gauges. Check out past spy shots of the 2015 Mustang showing off its new face and driving around town.

Amid Mulally rumors, Bill Ford praises company's deep bench

Wed, 02 Oct 2013

Bill Ford went on the offensive to combat the rumors that CEO Alan Mulally would leave Dearborn for Steve Ballmer's vacated position leading Microsoft, adding that even if the 68-year-old, former Boeing exec were to depart, the Ford executive team is in a good place.
"I'm happy [Mulally] is going to stick around. But we also feel really good about where we are in terms of succession," Ford told Bloomberg TV, according to Automotive News. Rumors first cropped up about Mulally leaving Ford when AllThingsD speculated that he was in the running, early last month. In that same report, which you can read here, Ford's board of directors reportedly okayed the CEO stepping down ahead of his planned retirement in 2014.
That opened the floodgates, culminating in a report from a few days ago that the rumors over Ballmer's successor just might be true. The story is especially troubling, as Ford hasn't had Mulally under contract, according to AN. "He's here as long as he and I would like it to happen," Ford said, "We're also cognizant of training the next generation and getting them ready to go as well."

Project Ugly Horse: Part V

The Slippery Slope
I've had a healthy appreciation for cars that stop since one truly unfortunate incident with a runaway 1971 Lincoln Continental.
It's funny how quickly a party can turn from, "We're all having blast" to "What happened to the front of the house, and how many stitches do you think this is going to take?" Standing in a Mustang salvage shop in Kodak, Tennessee, I couldn't help but feel I had strayed into the latter territory with Ugly Horse. There was a supercharged 5.4-liter V8 plucked from a rear-ended Cobra sitting off to my left. The shelves were lined with second-hand Roush and SVT components galore, but I couldn't stop staring at a set of rotors with the approximate diameter of my chest.
