This car is in Excellent Condition, inside and out. I listed many NEW things that were added replaced or upgraded at the beginning of the CONDITION section. There are a few paint chips that have been filled in with the appropriate color-matched paint...the only thing missing is clear coat to be added to those minor paint touch-ups. The tires only have about 6,000 miles on them. The car came with yellow wheels but I decided to go back to the OEM SVT wheels instead, which makes the car more valuable (You'll see them in the photos). Many people do not realize that this car came with many things that the regular FOCUS did not have. The engine was reworked by COSWORTH (World Famous for making Formula 1 Race Engines) to increase horsepower from 134 to 172. Plus they added a Variable Valve intake cam, gave it stiffer lifter springs and bigger valves. The Focus also comes with a lowered suspension. Also this is the only Focus to have 4 wheel disc brakes for years 2002-04. The other Focus cars had drum brakes on the rear and smaller discs on the front. I just replaced the original TOKICO struts with Ford Racing struts upfront and the Ford Racing shocks in back (all 4 came as a kit, so they're perfectly matched). The A/C went out about 4 weeks ago, so I had the Compressor and Extractor (Condensor) and pressure valves replaced. The Catalytic converter went out about 18 months ago, so I upgraded it to a low restriction Borla designed catalytic converter and had the entire exhaust reworked. It now has a deep throaty sound but not obnoxiously loud like some of those other tuner mufflers.... It really produces a unique exotic sound, kind of European. You were probably wondering why my price is high on this car... Well, for one, it is the rarest variant of that year SVT Focus....I included the website link in the previous CONDITION section. Secondly, I have replaced and upgraded several things on this car, so it performs better than new. Once you drive it, you'll see it is a unique performance car that keeps your adrenaline pumping. It has really tight handling and is very responsive. As a bonus, I'll also include a silver "Sensoro" brand radar detector ($150.00 value) (works great...you'll need it. It has saved me from several tickets), and a special limited edition sunshade for the inside windshield that matches color of car. Finally, what makes this stand apart from a regular Focus is that it comes with HID headlights. Back in 2003, not all of the Focus SVT's came with the HID headlights. It was a dealer optional upgrade. This Focus has them.

Ford auctioning off F-35-themed 2015 Mustang for charity
Wed, 16 Jul 2014Ford's been a supporter of EAA AirVenture, a huge, annual air show held in Oshkosh, WI, for several years now, with one of its most notable contributions being a modified Ford Mustang, designed to look like one of America's great fighting aircraft. There was an SR-71 Mustang, based on the legendary spy plane, a Red Tails edition, which honored the ground-breaking Tuskegee Airmen of World War II, as well as Blue Angels and Thunderbird Mustangs, based on America's two great military aerial demonstration teams.
Each car is auctioned off, with all proceeds going to the EAA Young Eagles program, which introduces kids to the joy of flight. For the 2014 AirVenture, which runs from July 28 to August 3, the one-off pony car is based on the new-for-2015 Mustang, and America's latest fighting aircraft - the controversial F-35 Lightning II.
The unique Mustang sports titanium paint scheme, with both glossy and matte sections, as well as yellow-and-blue trim and decal elements inspired by CF-1, the first F-35 test plane. A carbon-fiber front splitter and rear diffuser add some visual eye candy, while the interior boasts a set of Recaro seats. Ford also opted to fit unique wheels and a brawnier rear spoiler, to tie everything together.
Ford updates Power Stroke diesel V8, strengthens F-450, tweaks King Ranch
Thu, 26 Sep 2013Ford is giving its F-Series Super Duty trucks some upgrades for 2015, and we're happy to say that one of them is an improved Power Stroke diesel V8. Also, Ford is strengthening the top-of-the-line F-450 to handle more abuse. And if wild west-style luxury is your thing, the automaker has performed minor cosmetic updates to its King Ranch Edition trucks, as well.
The turbocharged 6.7-liter Power Stroke V8 is currently rated at 400 horsepower and 800 pound-feet of torque, and Ford only tells us the new and improved Power Stroke can "produce power beyond today's" engine. What, then, did Ford actually improve upon? First, the Blue Oval swapped in a new, larger turbocharger. The new Garrett GT37 turbine unit is 72.5 millimeters in diameter, eclipsing the old GT32's 64-mm diameter piece. Ford states output increases with the new turbo setup, but since the new turbocharger operates at a lower peak pressure than the old one, the automaker was able to eliminate the wastegate system and reduce the engine's complexity. Ford even redesigned the turbo's oil and cooling lines to make the powerplant simpler. A byproduct of the larger turbo is better engine exhaust braking, which is controlled manually by a button on the dashboard.
Ford claims the upgraded diesel engine is more powerful, more robust, more efficient and more refined than before.
Ford hiring 2,200 salaried US workers this year
Fri, 11 Jan 2013With its influx of popular new products made in the US, Ford Motor Company has announced that it intends to hire 2,200 new salaried workers domestically this year. This is the biggest increase of salaried workers for Ford in the last 10 years, and it is all a part of Ford's contract commitment to the United Auto Workers union to bring 12,000 new jobs to the US by 2015.
There were no specifics as to where in the US these job openings will be, but Ford did reiterate that it will be spending $773 million on equipment upgrades and capacity expansion at six plants located in southeast Michigan; as a whole, Ford is investing a total of $6.2 billion to its US assembly plants over the next couple years. According to recently appointed president of the Americas Joe Hinrichs, the new jobs will be focused on areas such as engineering, manufacturing and computer software. Ford will post its job openings online at careers.ford.com, and it will also use social media sites like Facebook and Twitter to recruit new workers, including military veterans.
