For sale is my 2014 Ford Focus ST 5-Door Hatchback. It is in excellent condition and only has 15,700 miles. It is a 6-speed manual with a 2.0L turbocharged engine. It makes about 255 HP and 270 ft-lbs of torque. It is an ST3 with the 202A package and rado wheels with factory red painted calipers. For ease, this model is loaded with every feature available except a moonroof. The features of this car include the following, on top of standard package features:

Navigation
RECARO Full-Leather Heated Seats
HID Headlamps
Cornering Lights
LED Signature lighting
Ambient interior lighting
Heated Mirrors
8" Touch Screen Display
Dual-Zone Temperature Controls
HD Radio
XM Radio

It has been a great car, but I just use it for commuting and I no longer have a need for it. I consistently got 27 MPG in town and 32 MPG highway. The car has been well maintained, here is the maintenance and care the car has received during my ownership:

Serviced and oil changed every 2500 miles by my local Ford dealership
Leather seats conditioned every 3000 miles
Tires rotated every 2000 miles
No pets
No smoking
Only ran on 91 octane premium ethanol free fuel
Garage kept (car cover included with car)
All Ford TSB have been performed

The car has been kept stock other than three items. It has a full Magnaflow Catback exhaust, I installed it because I had a credit at my dealership and I feel like it makes the car sound way better but doesn't drone or compromise the elegance of the car. Second, it has 5800k HID fog lights. Last, it has tinted windows.

Sticker on the car when I purchased it was 31,125.00. I'm only asking 22,800.00 obo. I want the car to go to a good home, someone that will maintain it and take care of it. Its in excellent condition and I would like to see it go to someone that would keep it that way. I custom ordered it and am the original owner, I am very meticulous about my vehicles and this one has been treated very well.

If you have any questions feel free to call or text 208-221-1264 for more information or email me at hymasch@gmail.com. I might willing to work on the price if need be. Thanks for looking.

Fitting Retirement: Grand Marquis last Mercury off the line

Wed, 05 Jan 2011

The signs have come down and retail production ended back in October of 2010. Now, the very last Mercury model has rolled off the assembly line. This last Mercury somewhat fittingly takes the form of a Grand Marquis reporting for fleet duty. It was built at the St. Thomas plant in Ontario, Canada, which is the same facility that continues to produce the Ford Crown Victoria and Lincoln Town Car for fleet and livery duty.
St. Thomas' days are numbered, however, as the factory is slated to close on August 31. When it goes, the Panther platform is likely to follow. So long, and thanks for all the fish memories.

How Ford switched gears for the all-new F-150

Fri, Mar 6 2015

Editor's Note: This story is authored by Julia Halewicz, a senior editor with AOL's Custom Solutions Group. She holds a Masters in Journalism from NYU and has spent her career as an editor of various newspapers, magazines and digital outlets. Last year on the Friday before Labor Day, the 2014 Ford F-150 pickup truck came off the Dearborn assembly line for the last time. After the last seam was welded, the F-150 that had been so beloved by American consumers would begin the transition from traditional steel manufacturing to an aluminum body, and the second phase of Ford's 2007 blueprint for sustainability would begin. Jobs would be created, and Ford would deliver a stronger product to its consumers. It was a moment Ford would call the biggest in the company's 111-year history. Breaking The Mold For some, the change was almost unfathomable. How could a truck be made with aluminum, and why change what clearly was working very well for the company? "We have a saying at Ford that leaders lead," said Doug Scott, the company's truck group marketing manager. "This was an ideal product to make with aluminum-alloy, because lightweighting made so much sense for a truck, because the extent to which you could take weight out of a truck, you could add more value to the customer in terms of more towing, more payload, more durability, more efficiency – so again all this required us to be out in front further out in front that we normally would be to make sure that we would deliver on all those expectations." Ford began the planning process about five years before the first aluminum F-150 would come to market. The company had a lot of questions. What was customer acceptance of aluminum, could they build the truck, and could the truck be repaired out in the field? Finally, Ford needed to determine if there were enough materials available to support the demand for the F-Series. Aluminum vehicles aren't unusual, but had never been built on the scale of the F-150 – approximately one every minute. Ford created two prototypes to determine if the product would meet and exceed consumer expectations. Any change to the vehicle had to be justified in performance, safety and economy. An aluminum truck needed to be safer, lighter, have increased payload, haul more, and have improved fuel efficiency. After driving the prototypes, Ford knew it was ready to move forward. Once the aluminum truck was ready to build, the next challenge was quickly transforming the plant.
