I sell cars for a living on ebay for a dealership here in Hutchinson, KS and I know a car with a story brings the best money. Well here is my car (The Gold Nugget) and my story.

As I said I work from my house and sell car for a couple of dealership here in Hutchinson,  I was dating my dream girl and in Jan. here work moved her to Kansas City (about 4 hours away). So I sold my truck that got horrible gas mileage and bought something more practical. So I bought this 2009 Ford Focus SE because I knew it would be a bunch of trips back and forth and the Focus gets great gas mileage, dependable and a comfortable ride. The guy I bought this from said it was a Salvage title, no question its been wrecked and repaired in the front end BUT it does not have a salvage title, I have the clean and clear title in hand. I was amazed to find out this car did not have Cruise Control, so I bought a new steering wheel and have the factory cruise control installed. I wanted to make it a little more sporty looking so I installed the Hockey Stick Stripes and Rear Spolier and I knew I would be on the road a bunch in this car so I had a Memphis Amp and Sub hooked up for the factory sound system that does have Sirius Radio and a single CD. This is the first car I have had with Sirius and I really enjoy it and with the sub it sounds great. Well to finish my story my dream girl dumped me last month and it time for me to get back into a truck.

The Gold Nugget, runs perfect, drives down the road good, the seats are very comfortable, the air blows ice cold, everything works on the car. The most impressive thing about this car is the gas milage since I've owned it I've average 32.8 miles per gallon, out on the highway if you keep it under 70 mph it will get right at 40 mpg.

NADA says this car should retail for $11,300 and that doesn't include the Amp or Subwoofer or stripes. I tried and put a very fair price for a quick sale.

Since I do sell cars for a living and ship them all over the world I will be more than happy to help you get the Nugget shipped to you. Feel free to Call or Text me Devin at 620-664-3011 with any question.

Recharge Wrap-up: Ford 1.0L EcoBoost a hit in Europe; Build a tiny inverter, win $1 million

Mon, Aug 11 2014

In Europe, Ford's 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine is the best-selling turbocharged gasoline engine. The three-cylinder motor powers 20 percent of new Fords sold in Europe. Earlier this year, it won its third International Engine of the Year award, and between January and June, it was sold in about 120,000 cars. So far this year, 38 percent of Fords sold in the Netherlands, 35 percent in Denmark and 32 percent in Switzerland have been powered by the 1.0-liter EcoBoost. The engine's turbocharger spins at 248,000 rpm, and provides 24 psi of pressure. The engine produces up to 138 horsepower, depending on the version. Read more in the press release below. When lithium-ion battery packs are retired from the road, remanufacturing, repurposing, and recycling are worthwhile options, according to a study by Mineta Transportation Institute. The study included a cost-benefit analysis of those three options, and found remanufacturing to be the best route. To get the most out of them, batteries should be tested and have their damaged cells replaced then put back to use. Repurposing is the second best option, using the remaining available charge for something besides cars. Recycling on its own isn't profitable, but it could make economic sense with "increased technological breakthroughs." Learn more at Recycling International or download the report here. A smaller inverter for EVs can win you $1 million. The Little Box Challenge is an open competition to build a power inverter with a density of at least 50 watts per cubic inch. Google and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) are offering the hefty prize to the team that builds the inverter with the highest power density within an enclosed volume of 40 cubic inches. Teams must register by September 30. Read more at Green Car Congress or learn more at the Little Box Challenge website.

Social media star Scott Monty leaves Ford

Thu, 22 May 2014

It seems weird to think that an automaker could have a social media star, but Ford does. Or at least it did. Scott Monty, its Global Digital Communications Manager, led the company's team for almost six years and forged a reputation as being one of the most talented people in corporate social media. But the guru recently announced that he would be leaving the automaker for an undisclosed job elsewhere.
"I just decided the time was right. I am going to take a little time with my family, and I am going to start on a new adventure pretty soon," said Monty in an interview with AdWeek. He also explained a little about his theory of how companies should use social media. In his opinion, it should be a chance to go beyond standard marketing and build a relationship with people. Businesses need to have a broad focus for its online message, and using just one service isn't enough to be successful.
Under his guidance, Ford expanded its Facebook presence significantly. According to AdWeek, it launched the 2010 Explorer on the popular site. Also, when the company wanted to investigate selling electric models, it initially gauged the public's reaction on Facebook and then advertised them there first. Monty has been a major supporter of Twitter as well to broaden the company's communication with the public.

PickupTrucks.com's latest test results in a familiar winner [w/video]

Wed, 19 Jun 2013

PickupTrucks.com has gone and thrown the latest batch of half-ton pickups into a cage match to see who would come out on top. The site put the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, 2013 Ford F-150, Ram 1500, Toyota Tundra and Nissan Titan through a battery of tests. Those included 0-60 miles per hour acceleration, 60-0 mph deceleration, fuel economy, a hill climb, and payload and towing. They even threw the rigs on an autocross course to evaluate overall handling. Each truck was given points based on how it scored in each evaluation.
Who came out on top? Somewhat surprisingly, the 2013 Ford F-150 walked away with the gold, though fewer than 50 points separated first and fourth place. Head over to PickupTrucks.com to read the full evaluation and the final results. You may be shocked to see exactly where some of the segment's newest additions placed. You can also watch a video on the test below.
