2002 Ford Focus Lx 4dr. No Reserve!!!! on 2040-cars
Franklinton, North Carolina, United States
THIS IS A 2002 FORD FOCUS. AUTOMATIC FOUR DOOR. I BOUGHT IT FROM A SINGLE MOTHER TO HELP HER OUT. I WAS TOLD IT WAS PARKED BECAUSE IT HAD TRANSMISSION ISSUES. I CHARGED THE BATTERY, TURNED THE KEY AND DROVE IT WITH NO PROBLEMS. NO ENGINE LIGHTS ON . I CAN'T FIND ANYTHING BUT IT WAS NOT MY DAILY DRIVER. YOU MAY BRING A MECHANIC (A REAL ONE PLEASE) . I AM PROVIDING A SPARE TRANSMISSION THAT WAS PURCHASED AND NEVER INSTALLED SO THAT IF ANYTHING EVER HAPPENS, THE BUYER WILL NOT HAVE THAT EXPENSE. LOOK UP NADA- $3250 ON THIS CAR. THERE IS NO RESERVE. GREAT PRICE FOR THE CAR, I JUST DON'T NEED IT AND I REALLY NEED MY MONEY BACK. IT IS CURRENTLY PARKED IN SOUTH BOSTON VA, BUT I WILL BE DRIVING IT BACK TO FRANKLINTON,NC FRIDAY . EMAIL ANY QUESTIONS. GREAT GAS MILEAGE AND A STEAL. THE LOCAL MECHANIC THAT HAS MY TRANSMISSION QUOTED ME $450 TO INSTALL BUT I AM NOT GOING TO SPEND THE MONEY SINCE THE CAR IS DRIVEABLE. GOOD POINTS- GOOD LOOKING BODY AND INTERIOR, ALL INSTRUMENTS, LIGHTS, WIPERS AND ELECTRONICS WORK FINE. STARTS RIGHT UP AND IDLES GREAT. BUY IT NOW IS LESS THAN HALF OF NADA SO IF YOU HAVE BUYERS REMORSE, JUST RESELL IT OR PART IT OUT FOR A PROFIT. BAD POINTS - NOTICEABLE CRACK IN THE WINDSHIELD (DOESN'T LEAK OR AFFECT ANYTHING). GHOST TRANSMISSION ISSUE ( I WAS TOLD THAT SOMETIMES COMPUTERS CAUSE ISSUES AND THE BATTERY BEING COMPLETELY DRAINED MAY HAVE RESET IT, SOMEONE TOLD HER SHE NEEDED A TRANSMISSION SO SHE BOUGHT ONE). MISSING ONE HUBCAP ($25 ON EBAY). I HAVE THE CLEAR TITLE IN HAND. I AM SELLING THE CAR THIS CHEAP AND PROVIDING THE TRANSMISSION IN CASE THERE ARE EVER ANY FUTURE PROBLEMS SO THIS CAR WILL BE SOLD AS IS. PLEASE ASK ANY QUESTIONS. SCAMMERS BEWARE. I REPORT NON PAYMENT. LONG TIME EBAYER WITH 100% FEEDBACK SO BID WITH CONFIDENCE. GOOD LUCK. |

Chip Ganassi Racing switches to the Ford EcoBoost-powered Riley Daytona Prototype
Wed, 06 Nov 2013Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates (CGRFS) announced yesterday at Ford's SEMA press conference that it will field a Ford-Riley Daytona Prototype with the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 in the 2014 United SportsCar Championship (USCC). CGRFS is the second team to commit to the new Ford-Riley car, behind Michael Shank Racing (which has already used the racecar to break a 26-year-old top-speed record at Daytona International Speedway).
"Over the last 10 seasons we have been able to experience a great deal of success in Grand-Am," Chip Ganassi says, "and now with the dawn of the new United SportsCar Championship we feel that Ford power will be a key ingredient to writing the next chapter of our sports car program."
In the last Grand-Am season, CGRFS raced a BMW-Riley Daytona Prototype. The team has won seven Daytona Prototype championships, all in the past ten years. Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas return as the team's prototype co-drivers, and will attend their maiden race in the Ford-Riley at the Rolex 24 at Daytona in January.
Ford Fiesta ST GRC Racecar is hungry for podiums in 2013
Thu, 07 Feb 2013As we reported earlier, the Chicago showing of this plucky Ford Fiesta ST GRC racer points to bigger and brighter days for Global RallyCross. For the upcoming season, you can expect to see Ken Block and Tanner Foust both driving the Ford racecar, and if last season's results are any indication, you can anticipate quite a few podium appearances, as well.
The Fiesta seen here was built by the Swedes at OlsbergsMSE, and will be driven in anger by Foust in 2013. Modifications are, as you'd expect, extensive, and include an engine, exhaust and braking upgrades, a racing style short-throw shifter and a limited-slip differential. As you can see, the car has been fully stripped out and caged for maximum speed and safety, too.
Refresh your memories with the details of the car, in the press releases below. And if you head out to the Chicago Auto Show this year, don't forget to drop by the Ford stand to have a look.
Win a car while supporting a charity this holiday season
Thu, Dec 9 2021Autoblog may receive a share from purchases made via links on this page. Pricing and availability are subject to change. No donation or payment necessary to enter or win this sweepstakes. See official rules on Omaze. The leaves have fallen, there is a crispness to the air and there have already been multiple forecasts of snow, which can only mean one thing: We're coming up on Christmas. While you've been busy thinking about what kind of gifts you're going to give your loved ones, we here at Autoblog have been deciding which dream car we'd like to see in our driveway on Christmas morning. A car for Christmas does seem a bit extreme and expensive, but thanks to these Omaze sweepstakes, it doesn't have to break the bank. Here are the current sweepstakes we'd like to win this holiday season. Win a DeLorean DMC-12 - Enter at Omaze James Riswick, West Coast Editor: Let me be clear, the DeLorean is a pretty terrible car. Its speedometer doesn't even go up to the fabled 88 mph. Seriously, look at the pictures: tops out at 85. Also, who services a DeLorean? And how much would it cost to maintain one? $AlloftheMoney or just $MostoftheMoney? So owning it could be a total headache, but at least by winning one through Omaze, you'd be relieved of the financial burden of buying one in the first place. You'd also get the chance to own one of the most iconic cars of all time, one that transcends car enthusiasm and is instantly recognizable by everyone as the "Back to the Future" car. Plus, "everyone" doesn't know that the DeLorean was actually a pretty terrible car. So, I already own James Bond's car from 1995, why not Doc Brown's from 1985? Win a 2021 Bentley Bentayga V8 - Enter at Omaze Eddie Sabatini, Production Manager: Why am I choosing a +$200K Bentley SUV? Because even if I could afford one I'd never be able to wrap my head around spending money on one. So why not try to win one by donating what I can afford to a good cause? I first saw the Bentley Bentayga up close and personal at the Frankfurt Motor Show (I forget which year but I'll never forget this SUV). And although it looks like the Bentayga Omaze is offering up doesn't have the opulent tailgate setup I fell in love with when I saw it in Frankfurt, I'd still enter to win. Win a 1968 Mercedes-Benz 280SL Pagoda - Enter at Omaze Byron Hurd, Editor: Few automotive marketing efforts stick out in my head more than the Mercedes-Benz holiday spots and magazine placements.
