Here's your chance to get a great reliable car at less than half what other Fiesta's are selling for here.

Why so inexpensive?

This is a fresh water flood car that I've been fixing up and recently found out that I have to do a lot of traveling over the next few months and hate to see it sit unused. I've been driving it daily and I love this car. It only has 14,900 miles on the clock and nearly everything works and words great. There are a few items left to do.

First I'll tell you what works.
  • All lights work (headlights, turn signals, tail ights, backup lights, dash lights etc)
  • Interior lights work
  • Idiot lights work
  • radio works and works great
  • odometer works
  • tachometer works
  • shifts great, runs great, handles extraordinarily well, brakes are great, tires are great, no noticeable rust (from fresh water flooding)
  • A/C and heat work
I've identified what needs to be replaced but just won't have the time to do it.
The speedometer and gas gauge do not work - you need a new instrument cluster and they sell here on ebay for $150 ( the low fuel warning light does work on the dash)
The drivers door is the only door that locks from the key fob and you'll need a new BCM (Body Control Module) - new ones sell here on ebay for $166
The horn does not work - I have not checked the horn yet - worst case is that you'll need a new horn/steering wheel/relay - they're $150 here on ebay.
The remote controlled rear view mirrors do not work - I have not researched that yet since they're set for me and I never change them.
The plastic bottle that holds the window washing fluid resevoir leaks (have not check that out yet)
Tire Pressure Sensor Light is on (I have reset instructions)
Passenger Seat Belt idiot light is illuminated but the chime stop when you put on your seat belt (likely related to BCM since BCM controls so many functions)

The engine runs great - My mechanic installed a new alternator and serpentine belt, but the engine does make just a little bit of noise and my mechanic told me it's nothing serious because the engine runs smooth, runs at standard temp, carries great oil pressure and there are no codes thrown by the computer.

If you're handy, have a little time and about $500 to spend on parts you can have yourself a great running and very pretty car that only has 15k miles on it and is only 2 years old with great tires and a killer stereo I might add.

I've put almost 1,000 miles on it and have been getting 44 MPG - I really do love this car and hate to see it go.

My loss is your gain

Body is 100% straight and paint is shiny.

You'll wind up saving yourself at least $6,000 over what other Fiesta's are selling for here and you'll have a great car to boot! The others are selling for $12,500 to $13,500 and very few only have 15k miles.

Bid with confidence - see my feedback - my descriptions are accurate and honest and my 100% feedback is proof. Test drives are fine. I live 10 minutes off I95 Exit 100 (Route 272) in Maryland - you'll be impressed with this car!

This is a FUN car to drive and built really well. The Fiesta is one of Fords best selling cars in Europe.

Clear Maryland title in my name.

Ford C-Max, Fusion hybrids subject of MPG lawsuit in California

Fri, 01 Mar 2013

A California lawsuit over the fuel economy claims for the 2013 Ford C-Max was first reported back in December. Based on the numerous reports we've heard of disgruntled owners failing to get their car's EPA fuel economy ratings on the C-Max and 2013 Fusion Hybrid, we suspected there would be more to this story. The Detroit News is reporting that two California law firms are combining their lawsuits against Ford on this matter for "false and misleading" claims.
The article states that there are hundreds of C-Max and Fusion Hybrid owners who have joined the lawsuit, but the issue isn't limited to customers. In December, Consumer Reports extensively tested both the Fusion Hybrid and C-Max and found that both hybrids performed significantly worse than their EPA claims. This all comes just a few months after Hyundai and Kia took the unprecedented step of lowering the fuel economy ratings for all of their 2012 and 2013 model-year vehicles.

Ford Police Interceptor with 2.0L EcoBoost rated most fuel-efficient police sedan

Tue, 26 Nov 2013

Back in September, Ford announced a non-pursuit version of its Police Interceptor Sedan, which swaps out a choice of two V6 engines for a fuel-efficient 2.0-liter EcoBoost inline four-cylinder. This Special Service Police Sedan will be marketed to law enforcement agencies looking to cut fuel costs and don't need the extra power.
For college campuses, detectives and the like, this new police car has now been certified with EPA fuel economy estimates of 20 miles per gallon in the city, 32 mpg on the highway and a combined rating of 24 mpg. These figures represent a decrease of two mpg in city and combined ratings compared to the civilian-spec 2014 Taurus. These police cars still offer active grille shutters for better aerodynamics, although we're guessing agencies upfitting their cars with light bars and push bumpers aren't exactly concerted with aerodynamics. The true benefit of the SSP version is when it's compared against other police sedan options like the Dodge Charger, Chevy Impala, Chevy Caprice and even the V6 Police Interceptor Sedan.
Ford claims the new Police Interceptor Sedan SSP is the most fuel-efficient current option for police departments, saying that this car can save $1,720 per car over three years and almost $260,000 over the same span of time for fleets with 150 vehicles. There is an official press release posted below, and also check out the gallery of images from Ford collected from various police agencies across the US (although none show the 2.0-liter SSP model). Head on over to Ford's Police Interceptor mini-site for even more pictures of the Police Interceptor Sedan and Utility.

Ford opens 88 new dealerships in China in a single day

Mon, 23 Jun 2014

"Ford opened 88 dealerships in China last year." "Ford opened 88 dealerships in China during the first half of 2014." "Ford opened 88 dealerships in China last month." None of those statements - even the last one - would seem unbelievable. Saying "Ford opened up 88 dealerships in China last Thursday," though, is a bit more dramatic.
Yes, on June 19 alone, Ford opened the doors on nearly 100 showrooms in the People's Republic, boosting the Blue Oval's total presence in the country to 750 dealerships. Of course, while an overabundance of dealers in the US proved troublesome for American manufacturers back in 2008 and 2009, there's no such concern in China. Considering the country's huge population and the breakneck pace of the local auto industry, you could be forgiven for being surprised Ford only has 750 outlets at this stage.
What's notable about this most recent push, besides the sheer volume of new stores, is their location. Over three-quarters of the new dealerships are in so-called Tier 4 cities, which are smaller towns that still contain millions of people. This fits with Ford's strategy in China of avoiding the bigger battlegrounds that are already dominated by competitors and focusing on setting up shop in newer markets that may have been overlooked, according to Automotive News.
