This falcon has been built from the ground up as my own
pro-touring car with the help of a racecar/hotrod shop. It has all of the best
parts in it that I accumulated for almost two years before beginning the build.
It runs on pump gas, and sounds amazing with the incredibly straight body
showing through the clear coat paint. This is an original V8 California black
plate car, and I have written records from the previous owner back from 1963.
This car is hiding nothing. -- ALL OF THESE PARTS ARE PRACTICALLY NEW WITH ABOUT 3000
MILES ON THEM-- * Stroked 351w to a 418 with forged crank, forged H-beam
rods, and forged pistons, aluminum Dart heads, Edelbrock airgap intake * Tremec TKO 500 5-speed transmission with a Quick Time
scatter shield. * Fatman fabrication front suspension * Control Freaks adjustable coilover rear suspension * Ford 8.8" rear w/ limited slip, upgraded axles, and
3.73 gears professionally built * Four wheel disc brakes with 13" rotors up front and a
willwood dual reservoir master cylinder * Aluminum radiator with 3000 cfm electric fan, moroso
electric water pump, KRC power steering pump, powermaster alternator * Car plumbed with aluminum 15 gallon fuel tank with all
lines for EFI already installed and running through the car * Interior has leather bucket seats with Corbeau 5-point
harnesses, machine turned aluminum panels, and a Twisted Machine adjustable
aluminum shifter with a Hurst knob * All gauges are Auto Meter American Muscle series. * Wheels are custom made Vintage wheel works 17x8 in the
front and 17x 10 in the rear with BF Goodrich 235s and 255s . * Custom built aluminum headers with Flowmaster 40 series
mufflers. * It has an aluminum radiator, but could use a larger one. It will begin to run hot if the temperature is too warm outside. Everything on this car was built right with my standards and
no shortcuts. I had the car weighed at 2960 pounds with fuel. |

Radical RXC is a Mustang-hearted racecar for the road
Fri, May 30 2014Radical has been building fantastic open-cockpit racers and roadcars for years, for the track day enthusiast who wants a vehicle that looks like it could show up for a start at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The company's latest creation is the RXC, and while this coupe looks like a prototype racer, it's road legal in the UK and in some parts of the US. When testing a car this, um, radical, the first thought is likely to get it to the track for some big slides and wide open acceleration, but XCar Films takes the opposite approach in its latest video to learn how this racer fares on public roads. The version tested here is the standard RXC with the 3.7-liter V6 out of the Ford Mustang tuned to 350 horsepower with a seven-speed sequential gearbox; but Radical also offers the same engine with 380-hp, a 454-hp Ford EcoBoost 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6, or even a 500-hp V8. Even in the most basic guise, it's a handful to control in the wet, if this video is any indication. The cliche of a road-legal racecar is bandied around a lot in the motoring world, but it truly applies to the RXC. The only problem with seeing the RXC exclusively on the road is that it can never really open up and show its full potential. This racer is indeed chomping at the bit to rocket off into the horizon, but all those pesky road safety laws hold it back. Still, the video is a chance to get a better impression about this thoroughbred sports car. Scroll down to check it out. This content is hosted by a third party. The hottest modern sports cars rendered as rally racers
Thu, Jan 14 2016The modern-day World Rally Championship a monumental amount of fun to watch – I should know, as I recently was lucky enough to head to the UK to watch WRC Wales Rally GB – but even the most monstrous of the current WRC cars are based on fairly pedestrian European hatchbacks. Back in the heyday of rally, the Group B era in the 1980s, much hotter cars were the basis of even more incredible competition machines, for the most part. Take the exotic Ford RS200, or the Lancia Delta S4 with its twin-charged engine. And the hatchback-based Group B cars were bonkers, too. So what would some of our favorite modern cars look like if Group B had never ended? A British site named CarWow hired an artist to reimagine everything from the Rolls-Royce Wraith to the Porsche 911 as a retro-inspired rally car, and they were kind enough to let us share the results in the gallery above. The gallery features an Alfa Romeo Giulia in Martini livery, an Audi TT in classic Ur-Quattro colors, a Fiat 500 Abarth sporting massive flares and a hood blister full of auxiliary lights, a new Ford Mustang in RS200 livery, a Lancia Delta in Alitalia colors, a Porsche 911 in Rothmans livery, a Renault-Alpine in classic blue, a Rolls-Royce Wraith tribute to the Jules cologne Corniche Coupe, and a relatively modern-looking VW Touran. So far, the favorite around the office is the incredible Mercedes-Benz S-Class that is an homage to the wonderful 300 SEL 6.8 AMG "Red Pig" that essentially put AMG on the map. Check out the gallery above and see which one you like the best. Related Video:
