SELLER REMARKS |

It shouldn't be a surprise that the Ford Falcon makes a pretty decent performance car. But take a closer look at this 1963 Ford Falcon Futura, which combines a bright yellow look with a throaty 260 cubic inch small block to create a Mustang-beater with a classic look.
Bright yellow looks just as awesome on the Falcon as it does on the Mustang, or any other muscle car, giving it a sporty look that belies its racing history. The Falcon Futura was the top-of-the-line and it shows, with added trim and a great upscale look that was more Galaxie than grocery-getter. Paint and bodywork look great, suggesting that someone was really enjoying the idea of a high-end Falcon that could run with the ponies. Gaps are even, the panels line up right, and the sharply creased sheetmetal is crisply rendered. The side insert makes the compact Falcon look longer and leaner with a sense of motion, and has a timeless touch even after 50 years. It also wears '260' badges on its fenders, a subtle warning to folks who might under-estimate this slick hardtop, and all of the chrome is accented nicely with polished 14'' Crager SS wheels.
The clean interior remains fairly stock with factory bench seats at the front, and rear covered in soft two-tone grey cloth. Falcon instrument panels didn't offer a lot of information, but a Sunpro tachometer has been mounted to the right of the steering column to keep an eye on engine revs. A Kenwood AM/FM/CD stereo head unit is fitted underneath the dash, which allows the original AM radio to remain in its place. That dash is a body-matched unit that is complemented with a large diameter steering wheel to make turning a breeze, and a white cue ball topped shifter is within easy reach for quick shifts to the 4-speed manual transmission.
The nicely detailed engine bay cradles a 260 cubic inch V8. In truth, almost any small V8 is a tidy fit, but with a few well-chosen components this one looks and acts far more ferocious than any 260. Framed by yellow fenders and a yellow firewall, the small block provides a nice contrast with a chrome air cleaner and chrome valve covers. An Edelbrock carburetor and intake make the power feel effortless, and a Mallory distributer sends sparks to all eight cylinders. When the air/fuel mixture is burnt, gasses are sent out a dual exhaust systemt for a throaty bark. As stated above, a 4-speed manual transmission is mated to the block and transfers power to the rear wheels, and front disc brakes with a nice upgrade of high end Wilwood calipers with cross-drilled and slotted rotors enhance the Falcon's stopping power.
This Falcon is a neat cruiser that makes plenty of power to humble the big guys, all for a bargain price. With vivid yellow paint, it'll stand out in the crowd and is sure to draw a lot of compliments. It's already seen a good amount of attention in our showroom. Call today!

It would have been all too easy to miss the auto show debut of the 2015 Ford Mustang convertible. It was, after all, unveiled alongside its fixed-roof counterpart at the Detroit Auto Show this past January, lumping coupe and cabrio into one debut. But Ford is evidently still intent on making its new droptop stand out. The top of the Empire State Building ought to do the trick.
Automotive history buffs may recall that, 50 years ago, Ford unveiled its first Mustang convertible atop what was then the tallest building in the world, that Art Deco icon of the New York skyline. Half a century later, Ford is recreating the feat and bringing the new topless Mustang to the same observation deck on the building's 86th floor.
Getting it up there, of course, will be no easy task. While they'd usually airlift the vehicle onto the roof or lift it by crane, the spire protruding from atop the building makes approaching the narrow observation deck too dangerous, and no mobile crane can telescope the thousand-plus feet it would take to get the pony car up there.

The Autoblog staff universally loves the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor, and the truck's about to get even better. Coming in the fall of 2016 (we'd assume as a 2017 model), the next off-road-ready pickup from Ford will boast an all-new, purpose-built, high-strength steel frame and a lightweight aluminum body that saves more than 500 pounds when compared to the current Raptor. It's six inches wider overall than the regular 2015 F-150, which both makes it look awfully mean but also aids in stability when driving fast off the road, and new LED lighting elements make it stand out when the sun goes dim. Under the Raptor's muscular hood will be a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine that will make more than the current 6.2-liter V8's 411 horsepower and 434 pound-feet of torque, though we don't have exact power figures for the next-gen Raptor quite yet. Also new will be a 10-speed automatic transmission, which will replace the current six-speed unit and ought to provide appropriate ratios for both rock crawling and high-speed desert trail running. Speaking of high-speed running, what makes the Raptor tick, perhaps more than any other single component, are its custom-designed suspension bits. Redesigned, larger Fox Racing Shocks with more suspension travel and all-new terrain management technology, combined with BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO2 tires, are the bits and pieces that allow for Baja-style off-roading. View 14 Photos The four-wheel-drive system in the next-gen Raptor will include a Terrain Management with settings for Normal driving, Street driving, Weather mode (for rain, snow or ice), Mud and Sand, Baja mode and Rock mode. According to Ford, the Raptor's new transfer case is designed to work as both a locking unit for crawling and a full-time unit for other off-road applications. A Torsen front differential will be optional. Basically, if all of this new stuff turns out to be as good in practice as it sounds in a press release, the next F-150 Raptor will only serve to separate Ford's off-road pickup even further from its half-hearted competitors. Feel free to watch the video and read more down below.

As of the end of November, Volkswagen had sold 70,000 more cars than General Motors in China in 2013, making it appear inevitable that VW will outsell GM there. The feat would return the German brand to the top of chart in China for the first time in nine years, but even the second-place getter won't be complaining too loudly: both automakers sold more than three million vehicles in a market pegged to hit 16 million sales this year.
Volkswagen said it could have sold more cars if it had had more production capacity in China. The arrival of a new-to-China Audi A4, a China-built A3 sedan, the VW Bora and Skoda Octavia, as well as an $18.2-billion-euro investment in the country to construct new factories, means VW should see its numbers grow in 2014. GM's lineup is expanding next year, too, adding four Chevrolet nameplates and two vehicles to its Baojun brand as it tries to get to five million in sales by 2015.
Among other automakers, Ford benefited from good product and woes for Japanese automakers over a territorial dispute with China, outselling Toyota by almost 32,000 units through the end of November. The Ford Focus is China's best-selling vehicle so far this year.
