This car has had a boat load of money spent on it, by me and the previous owner. When I got the car the previous owner had spent around $22,000.00 on the car. Then I spent about another $6,000.00 on it to finish it up. I don't expect to get back all the money that has gone into this car, that is just not the way this car thing works as you probably know. I will tell you that my reserve is considerably less than what was spent to get it to this point of completion. It has been tubed with a fuel cell in the trunk. (one of the nicest tub jobs I have seen) It has a 9" ford rear end in it with all new components, Mark Williams Master Line Hi Performance Axles. It has headers with stainless exhaust It has a built 302, the guy said it was a 331 stroker motor, but I can't say for sure. It runs real strong. It has a built automatic in it, but it is not a c4 or a c6. I think it's a metric ford automatic. Virtually everything on this car is new or rebuilt. All the running gear, suspension, paint, interior, tires and wheels. The color is two tone Tacoma silver on the bottom and dark charcoal gray metallic on top. There are lime green and purple hand laid pinstripes separating the two colors, (They look nicer than it sounds) along with some pen striping on the trunk, hood and red and black ones on the dash. I know I am forgetting some stuff, so you can ask any questions you may have. There has been around 28,000.00 put into this car, the paint and interior were done in the last 6 months. The tub job, which is one of the best I have seen was 6500.00 not including the rear-end or springs. Check out the back seat, it is not shortened up like most tubed jobs. As you can see the under side of the car looks as good as the top side. You couldn't build this car for what you can buy it for, if your grandmother gave you the car to start with. Ford demonstrates Mustang's new Line Lock burnout feature
Tue, 22 Apr 2014Been saving your pennies for a 2015 Ford Mustang? Put in a few extra shifts or some overtime? Got a great down payment ready? Well, however much you saved for your new pony car, start saving more - you'll need the extra money to spend on tires.
That's because the Mustang will come with a system called Line Lock, which can lock the front brakes electronically, allowing drivers to perform big, dumb, smoky burnouts without moving so much as an inch. It's sort of like launch control, only the average driver might actually use it.
Now, line locks aren't uncommon, particularly in drag racing. Usually, a flip of the switch locks the front brakes. The Mustang, besides offering the system from the factory which is unique in and of itself, looks a bit more involved.
Ford leads top searched-for car brands on Google in 2014

Besides the most popular search term (the late, great Robin Williams), the most searched for gadget (the iPhone 6) and most searched for disease symptoms (quite worryingly, Ebola took the crown here), we have the most searched for automaker. With the long-awaited sixth-generation of one of America's most iconic vehicles, the Mustang, and a ground-breaking update for the US market's perennial best seller, the F-Series, it should come as no surprise at all that Ford was Google's most searched for automaker in 2014. Jeep captured second place, while Dodge, took third. We suspect introducing a pair of cars with 707 horsepower had something to do with that bronze medal... Project Ugly Horse alive and kicking at Road & Track
Thu, 29 Aug 2013The hallways of the Autoblog campus are much quieter now that Zach Bowman has taken his prose, along with his welders, wrenches and hammers, over to the digital pages of Road & Track, but that doesn't mean our favorite project Mustang is gone forever. Project Ugly Horse is still coming along, and Zach has gifted us another update on his unfoxy Fox Body.
Last we saw of the Ugly Horse, Zach was strengthening up the '89 Mustang's chassis as he prepares to stuff the turbocharged, direct-injected EcoBoost engine of a Ford Focus ST under the hood.
