1964 Or 1965 Ford Falcon On A International Scout 4x4 Frame Rat Rod Lot Drives on 2040-cars
Saint Michael, Minnesota, United States
Up for auction in a 1964 or 1965 Ford Falcon body sitting on a International Scout 4x4 drive train. It's called a Ford-National. There is no title for the car or the 4x4 frame and is sold with a bill of sale only. I repeat there is no title and sold with bill of sale only. Vehicle is sold as is with no warranty. I have driven it around the block and it runs and drives. The brakes need to be bleed. but if it ever warms up in the Mid-West I will try to do that. They work, but just need to be pumped like the Flintstones mobile to stop. The car runs good, but the carb really needs to be adjusted or rebuilt. It hates to idle and Again if it warms up I will tinker with that. It is a Holly 2-barrel. The motor runs off a bottle under the hood. The gas tank looks nice, but the fuel lines have not been run yet. The glass is good including the windshield and all the windows roll up and down. I have not been in the trunk yet and am looking for a key to get in. It has a 3-speed on the floor and shifts well. Use as a parts vehicle, Rat Rod or a mud runner, you make the call. I think it looks cool and is different and I purchased it for that reason. What you see is what it comes with and nothing else. It needs body work, tune up, interior work and who knows what else. That is all I know about the vehicle since I did not dive into it and just drove it up and down the block before loading it on a trailer. If it does not sell I may part it out, fix the mechanics and use as a mud runner or use as a rat rod. The options are endless since there is a blank canvas to start with. It will need tires also, the ones on it are cracked. If you have more questions please shoot me an email I work during the day and will get back to you in the evening. Winning bidder to pay $300.00 by pay pal within 5 days of auction ending and vehicle can sit for 30 days if need to before pick-up. Balance to be paid by check, money order or cash before vehicle will be released. |

These Canadians somehow forgot how to drive in snow
Tue, Dec 6 2016Montreal drivers experienced a slow-motion pileup on their streets this weeks thanks to the first snow fall of the season. According to the CBC, slippery conditions caused a small pileup involving cars, buses and even a street clearing vehicle. Onlookers in neighboring office buildings watched as vehicle after vehicle slid down Cote du Beaver Hall and crashed into the scrum of waiting cars. First there was a city bus, then a white Ford F-150 work truck loaded down with ladders, then another city bus came along and sandwiched the poor F-150. A Montreal Police Charger then came down the hill backwards, hit the bus in a slow, sad crash before it was crashed into by an out of control plow truck. Since its posting yesterday, the video of the crash has gone viral. Various other vehicles–a green-topped Scion delivery truck and a couple workaday sedans–were lucky enough to escape the pileup, but still suffered through a white-knuckled slippery descent down the hill. Colin Creado, who works nearby the crash site, told the CBC although it was pretty slippery, he was surprised at all the carnage since the storm was forecast well in advance. "You would have thought ... they would have salted the area or at least cordoned it off, because that road is pretty steep," he told the station. Ford Escort is ready to focus on the Chinese market
Mon, 21 Apr 2014Ford officially revived the Escort name in China, showing of the new, four-door compact at the Beijing Motor Show. Painted in a stylish brown-bronze, the new sedan wears a number of global Ford styling cues while sharing its platform with the Ford Focus.
Power for the new model comes from a 1.5-liter four-cylinder, although Ford doesn't specify just how much power is on offer, simply saying that the fuel economy of the new mill will be "outstanding." It's unclear what transmission will be distributing the engine's power, although based on the images we've seen, the Escort will definitely offer a two-pedal setup.
The layout of the cabin is fairly clean, although as we mentioned in our initial post on the new Escort, it's a decidedly sparser environment than we've grown use to in US-spec Fords of late. If anything, it's like a weird blend of current Ford switchgear with an overall look that reminds us of older Ford layouts. Still, it looks like a comfortable way of moving five people about without too much fuss. There's ample space both front and rear, and a rather spacious trunk.
Which car companies are creating new jobs in America?
Fri, Sep 22 2017Since January, automakers have announced investments totaling $9.5 billion in U.S. plants, creating or retaining more than 12,000 jobs. Some of those companies have yet to announce just how many jobs will be created given their investments, with the location of many of those jobs still to be determined. Specifically, the 4,000-job Toyota-Mazda joint venture plant still hasn't announced its location, with numerous states jockeying for it. Hyundai has plans to invest $1 billion but has not announced a jobs number yet. And likewise Ford is investing $1.2 billion in Michigan without specifying a number of jobs. Volvo this week announced plans to add a second line to its factory under construction in South Carolina, spending another $500 million and adding 2,500 jobs to the 2,000 it was already trying to fill. Then Thursday, Daimler announced a $1 billion expansion to its facility in Tuscaloosa, Ala., to produce EV batteries and electric SUVs, a move that will add 600 jobs to its hiring this year. Above, we've created a handy pie chart showing you which companies have announced new jobs and how many there will be.
