You’re bidding on a restored 1964 Ford Falcon Sprint Convertible with less than 51,000 original miles.  I purchased the car from the guy who restored it and he got it from the original owners family after his death. I’ve owned it for 2 years and have put less the 1000 miles on it. I just bought another hotrod and could use the garage space.

Vin#: 4H14F221407, Color: Dynasty Green, 2 Tone Turquoise interior, 260 V8, Automatic, Power Top, Bench Seat , Sprint Tach and Factory Correct A/C. A/C has R12.  Only 636 Bench Seat Sprints Ever Made. Motor & Tranny are original to the car and have been rebuilt. Entire car was restored to a very high standard. Parts were either restored or replaced with original equipment. Front & rear suspension were totally restored.  No Bondo anywhere……See attached photos to see the level of detail work done.  I have a photo album with over 300 pictures detailing this restoration.

Most All stainless and chrome refurbished or replaced. The top is still original with the rear plastic replaced. The top is in super shape. No rips, tares or leaks. Top was down most of the cars life.

All glass is still original with No cracks ,chips or air bubbles. The seats are still original. One small tear  on the left and right lower corners of the bottom bench. This was caused by a factory defect in the making of the frame. Back seat is like new but still original to the car. Seats were too nice to replace, as was the top.  All gauges & Lights work correctly. This is a radio delete car. NO RADIO or Antennae . A/C system is charged but the compressor has a seal leak. I’ve changed the seal, but it still leaks. I’ve isolated the system from the compressor at the service valves to stop the leaking. Will most likely need another compressor.  I rarely used the A/C so It hasn’t been a concern.

The engine compartment looks better than when it came from the factory. Correct everything !

Hoses, clamps , wiring, etc.

Please see the attached pictures and if you need to see anything else, just ask.

I can be reached at 631-878-0250. No disappointments here.

Shipping is at buyers expense.

Next-gen Ford Cobra Jet development underway, but will it be a Mustang?

Wed, 09 Oct 2013

Ford might be stepping away from the NHRA, but it isn't abandoning drag racing altogether. Hot Rod says that Ford confirmed a next-gen Cobra Jet factory drag racer is in the works, but the report also speculates that a new Cobra Jet could switch away from the Mustang nameplate.
Even though talk of a new Cobra Jet coincides with the all-new 2015 Mustang, the lack of confirmation for the dragster's platform leaves Hot Rod to guess that the car might switch to another platform - specifically a front-drive-based, unibody car like the Fusion or Taurus. We'd hate to think of a world with a NASCAR-ized dragster from Ford Racing, but it's also highly unlikely that the Mustang Cobra Jet would step away from its quarter-mile rivals like the Chevy COPO Camaro and Dodge Challenger Drag Pak.

Jerry Seinfeld doesn't love Sarah Jessica Parker's new Country Squire in latest CiCGC

Fri, 20 Jun 2014

Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee has finally returned for its fourth season of combining Jerry Seinfeld, a miscellaneous celebrity and a cup of java. But rather than fondly remembering some older piece of automotive machinery, this time around, Seinfeld is utterly unable to keep his hatred of Sarah Jessica Parker's 1976 Ford LTD Country Squire from coming out to hilarious effect.
However, Parker has such a high level of infectious enthusiasm for her recently purchased Country Squire that she seems to win over Seinfeld by the end - at least a little bit. For most of their time together, the two of them drive around Manhattan and the suburbs waxing nostalgic about what things were like when these wagons were ubiquitous.
Since this is actually SJP's car, she and Seinfeld trade off driving duties, and the image above should give you some indication of Seinfeld's reaction to the Sex and the City star behind the wheel. It seems this '70s land yacht might be a little too much for her to handle in New York traffic. Regardless, she is absolutely in love with her Ford.

Ford worker files for UAW dues refund, stirs right-to-work debate

Sun, 24 Aug 2014

Let's start with some history: Ford's Dearborn truck plant, part of the company's massive River Rouge complex, was the center of a strike in 1941 that led to Ford signing the first "closed shop" agreement in the industry. The agreement obliged every worker at the plant to be a dues-paying member of the United Auto Workers. In December 2012, however, Michigan Governor Rick Snyder signed legislation making Michigan a right-to-work state, which outlawed closed shops. The new law gave workers the right to opt out of union membership and stop paying dues even if they were still covered by union activities like collective bargaining. For employees at the Dearborn plant, the right-to-work clauses take effect at the end of their current contract in 2015.
As a tool-and-die maker at Ford's Dearborn plant for 16 years, Todd Lemire pays dues to the UAW - about two hours' salary per month. However, he's been unhappy with the UAW's support of the Democratic party, and not wanting to wait until next year to be out of the UAW entirely he invoked his Beck Rights, which state that a non-member of a union does not have to pay dues to support non-core activities, such as political spending. But Lemire wasn't happy that Ford still subtracted the total amount of dues, with the UAW reimbursing the difference, so he filed suit with the National Labor Relations Board, feeling that the workaround violates his rights.
Lemire's case is just a week old, so it could be a while before a resolution. Yet, as September 15, 2015 draws near and the right-to-work laws take full effect for Michigan workers - and others wonder whether it could help revitalize the state's manufacturing base - a case like this adds more fuel to the discussion.
